Approx 10 minutes drive from the Villa and you'll be at Calheta Beach where you can enjoy the golden sand, several restaurants and book whale and dolphin watching tours. Villa Lara is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids (cot & highchair can be provided)), and big groups. Villa Lara is set in a peaceful location ideal for walking the levadas (unmissable walks in Calheta include Paul da Serra, Rabacal (to Risco Waterall & 25 Fontes), Levada Nova and the Prazeres to Paul do Mar walk) and is close to a bus route. The property is approximately 30 minutes drive to Funchal and 45 minutes from the airport. A car is recommended so you can explore the island at your convenience. Torre Branca Apt, Caldas da Rainha, Costa Prateada

Torre Branca Apartment is situated in the small, quiet village of Torre, Salir de Matos, Silver Coast, only 50 minutes from Lisbon. It is a completely self contained, comfortable space with it's own entrance. Every window and both terraces have beautiful country views overlooking orchards and forest. It is quiet and serene and yet within walking distance to a lively cafe which serves excellent meals. It is 15 mins to the beach and 5 mins to the lovely town of Caldas da Rainha.

Casa da Oliveira

Casa da Oliveira (Casa das Oliveiras-G. Maps) is close to the village of Mesão-Frio (+/- 2 km), the gateway to Douro Vinhateiro. An old house, prior to 1950, was restored and maintains some of the original stone walls. It has 1 bedroom, a toilet, a living room with a sofa bed and an equipped kitchen, AC, TV, Wi-Fi and a barbecue grill outside. The views are magnificent over the region's vineyards and the Douro River. Excellent choice for a few days of rest, a week or a weekend.
