Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Arrowtown

We visit Arrowtown often but this was the first time staying in this place, and we loved it! So spacious, lots of room for our group of 4 people. The kitchen especially was extremely well-equipped and we definitely made use of it during our two week stay. It was warm and inviting and the view out to the hillside cloaked in its lovely autumn colours was the icing on the cake.

We absolutely adored staying at Te Awa Lodge on our recent trip to Wanaka. It was a gorgeous riverside home with an amazing hot tub and sauna, which we loved using after our hikes. Graeme and Carolyn were such warm, welcoming hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The property is easily accessible to Wanaka (10-15 min) and Mount Aspiring (1 hour) . Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

It’s a great place to spend a few days, as the views are spectacular with horses and sheep around the property! We surely enjoyed our stay at the place! Just that all the washrooms are clubbed together into a large one, with stalls for shower and toilets! It looked like a great place for hosting any event or such… Overall we did enjoy our stay thanks to the amazingly beautiful surroundings!

The house is very clean and well-equipped, and it is also convenient to drive to Queenstown

Lovely stay, warm and homy cottage. Beautiful surroundings with a walking trail along the river next to house. The better equiped kitchen i have ever seen on an airbnb accomodation, pleasent and great for cooking whatever you wish.

A lovely house to base yourself in Central Otago. Spotless and spacious and very toasty warm in the colder weather. Keiran was easy to communicate with and helpful operating instructions for the appliances were on hand. Plenty of room and although not required by us was good to see a cot and highchair for those with small families.

We had a wonderful stay! Our hosts were welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. We felt right at home. The property itself is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare our own meals. It struck the perfect balance: private and peaceful, yet just a short drive or bike ride to some good restaurants. We especially appreciated the little touches that made the space so comfortable. The highlight for my family was Rusty — the hosts’ friendly dog who quickly became a daily companion and source of joy for my child. Watching them play together was such a delight and added an unexpected charm to our visit. This was easily one of our favourite BnB experiences and we would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended for families looking for a restful, well-located getaway with heart.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The views are absolutely amazing. The accommodation was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. Everything was to high standard and attention to detail was great. The studio is very private. Karen and John went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very helpful.

We stayed at the Kikorangi apartment for 10 wonderful days. The apartment was well appointed with all the amenities you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay….it felt like home. And the view…it was amazing! We spent a lot of time looking out the window at Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. The location of the apartment was the perfect base for Queenstown activities and road trips. It’s only a short drive to Queenstown, Arrowtown and Queenstown airport. Highly recommend staying at this apartment for a memorable stay.

Susie and her family were fantastic hosts. From the moment we were welcomed by Susie and her offsider Rosie, it was clear we picked the perfect place to base ourselves. The space was open and private and provided our family of four with all that was needed. Communicating with Susie was a breeze and if we needed anything a swift reply was always there. If you're lucky enough to find availability with Beryle, book it immediately. She’s not just a host — she’s one of the kindest, most extraordinary people we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us like family. We even (seriously) asked if she’d adopt us — and we’re 29 and 30! She’s the ultimate Kiwi mum: warm, thoughtful, and endlessly generous. She made my partner’s birthday so special with heartfelt touches we’ll never forget. Beryle went above and beyond in every single way. She was incredibly helpful in reviewing our itinerary and used her local knowledge to help us adjust our plans when the weather changed. Her advice was thoughtful, practical, and spot-on. I would use my last dying breath to recommend you stay with Beryle. This was more than a place to sleep — it was a highlight of our trip, thanks to one remarkable woman. The bed was amazing and the bathroom great! We arrived as guests, left as family. I wish I could say more, but I only have 999 characters!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Bonnie’s place in Queenstown! The home was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The views were stunning and the space was both cozy and spacious — ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Bonnie was a wonderful host: warm, responsive, and thoughtful. You can tell she really cares about her guests having the best possible experience. We all loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Excellent communication, and entry instruction from Owner. Apartment was as listed, no surprises or disappointments. Short walk to supermarket/shops. We hired a vehicle. The car space provided was well positioned, and able to be locked when we were out, bonus. Side note: $10pp cash for 5min local bus to/from airport without a travel BeeCard. We stayed 2 nights in Queenstown and 3 nights with a vehicle at this AirBnB, overall I was very pleased with my choice. Recommend, Yes.

A wonderful location with stunning lake and mountain views. Pleasant and easy walks to local coffee shops and eateries. Great lakeside walk into Queenstown. Excellent accommodation bed extremely comfortable. Great communication with host who was helpful and timely in responding. Would highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

Location is great with private parking so you don’t have to worry about finding one far away and shifting luggages. The place I clean and near most of the needed amenities, beautiful surrounding and walking distance to the lake. Full function kitchen with no restriction of what are allowed to be cooked. Jane is a wonderful host ensuring our safe arrival and proactively helped us check on the status of the road closure, ensuring our safe arrival. We were greeted with a warm welcome, chocolate and a pre warmed house. :)
