Glamping at its finest! This 16’ Yurt is tucked into the woods at Northwoods Resort. Just across the street from AuTrain Lake w/ full beach access. The yurt has 1 queen canopy bed, a cot under the bed for addn sleeping, cable tv, small refrigerator, microwave, keurig coffee maker, small charcoal grill, bonfire pit and chairs! The 1/2 bathroom is located just a short walk away in the laundry room for the resort as well as an outdoor shower. Also shared beach,dock, boat,canoe,kayak rental for use!

We are between Marquette (25 miles) and Munising (18 miles ) , and 6 miles west of AuTrain's gorgeous Beach and the AuTrain river, where canoeing / kayaking is extremely popular. Our quiet Hiawatha Log Home is clean and neat, with plenty of parking. The view is stunning of Lake Superior and AuTrain Island. Be sure to wake early for the sunrise. This property is not on Lake Superior. A quiet road and a narrow strip of county property separate the land and water. 1 pet permitted, $90 per stay.

This historic log cottage was originally built in the first part of the 1900’s as one of the early fishing camps of Shelter Bay. Over the years there have been numerous modern improvements, but much of the rustic charm, such as the large stone fireplace and the low ceilings and exposed rafters of the second story, remain…and the character does too. The shoreline is stones and boulders which make for lots of action and adds to the aesthetics that come from the sound of lapping waves.

Our cozy mini cabin is suited with 1 private bedroom, a bunk bed in common area and small loft that features a twin. This cabin has a fire pit out back and anything you might need for your stay. We are located 750 feet across from the public beach access and 1 mile west from a public boat launch, also only 15 miles from Pictured Rocks. We are nestled into the Hiawatha National Forest, so please feel free to get out and explore the large backyard. Pets are welcome and encouraged.

Our cabin is set on the beautiful AuTrain river, just minutes from Lake Superior. It is fully equipped to make your stay relaxing and fun! A full kitchen which includes a stove, fridge, and a BBQ grill to cook what you would like. There is a queen size bed, and a natural gas fireplace, and full bathroom. We also have a deck to enjoy the wildlife from. Hummingbirds, Blue Heron, geese, ducks, eagles, river otters and more have all been spotted from the front porch.

This is a small log cabin located approximately 10 miles from downtown Marquette in a quiet neighborhood. Its nestled in the woods where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest but is still in close proximity to hiking, biking, cross country ski trails, and Marquette Mountain for downhill skiing and all Marquette has to offer. It is approximately 3 miles from the snowmobile trail and can be accessed using Green Garden Road. A very easy ride to the trail.

We were honeymooning and found Rich’s place in Au Train, Michigan. From the moment we stepped in the front door it was so welcoming and felt so homie. Rich was very responsive while we were there and our experiences while visiting was absolutely phenomenal! My wife and I will definitely be back. If you visit during the summer go tour pictured rocks it’s SO worth it!

We had an amazing visit at Rich’s place. It was perfect for our first time in the upper peninsula of MI. The location was perfect for all that we wanted to do. It was great being so close to beach, Munising, Pictured Rock National Lakeshore and amazing views of Lake Superior. After a long day exploring in the cool weather it was great coming back to a warm place that had a nice fireplace going. We definitely have a lot more to still explore and hope to be back! Highly recommend this great, convenient and comfortable spot!

Highly recommend! I will definitely be coming back! Everyone was so nice and helpful with many suggestions. I highly recommend doing their kayaking down the river, as well. They bring you to the launch, help you get in and push you off. At the end, they are there to help you out of kayak (if needed), and take care of the kayak. Very friendly staff.
