This is a bright, sunny apartment on the upper level of a sweet little 1870's "Polish Flat" in the heart of Bay View, one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods! We are just steps away from some of Milwaukee's best restaurants, bars, taprooms, boutiques and coffee shops. The space features an efficiency kitchenette, living room, beautiful bedroom and renovated bathroom with walk-in shower! Close to East Side, Walker’s Point, Historic Third Ward, Summerfest, Mitchell Park and the airport.
“Brett & Anna’s place was great! I received ample communication. There were lots of nice, thoughtful design touches. The bed was comfy and the natural light was great! The area would be super great (mostly closed due to COVID19), and it was very easy to get to via car. The garage is definitely tight, but it fit the rental Malibu just fine with some sucking in. Ha. Bathroom was really nice, and they had pretty much everything one would need. Entry was easy and the place felt safe. TV is pretty small, but it has a Roku so that you can pretty much stream whatever. Was pretty a quiet area for the most part. Overall a really great option for MKE, would stay again!”
This is one unit in a historical mansion with lake views! Layout is shotgun, open concept with a SMALL functional kitchen. Definitely gives off a pied-à-terre vibe. You have direct access to the back patio and a dedicated parking space around the corner. This unit is in the heart of the lower east side- close to the art museum, cathedral square, Brady st, 3rd ward, as well as the best restaurants and bars in MKE .
“Very nice, spacious, historical unit with close proximity to Lake Michigan, restaurants, bars and grocery stores. The A/C worked really well in each room. The WiFi also worked great in the main living area. Cons: 1. Cleanliness. With Covid-19 a main concern at this time, the place should’ve been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. The sofa was dirty with all kinds of old food and junk between the pillows. The shower also needed deep cleaning. 2. You may want to bring your own towels and toiletries since the items offered are community property (not new) and the towels are old. Overall I would stay here again such a beautiful unit but would like the place thoroughly cleaned the next time around.”
Our home, built in 1875, has been lovingly updated to reflect current design while preserving the house’s historic character. The house is designed for fun; perfect for groups or a couple that wants to stretch out. Great location, right next to Kadish Park and a ten minute walk to all that the riverfront and lively Brady Street have to offer. Adventuring in other directions will take you into trendy Brewers Hill and River West neighborhoods… we have some great recommendations. Walk Score of 84.
“What a find! We were on a cross-country, mid-pandemic, family emergency roadtrip and needed a safe, clean, comfortable place to rest for a night along the way. This house was perfect—so inviting, stylish, and with all the comforts of home. Great neighborhood, too—the local park and riverfront trail were spectacular, and we enjoyed the host’s recommendations for grocery shopping and dinner (Ian’s Pizza delivered right to the door). Overall a perfect first visit to Milwaukee, and a much-needed break during a difficult time. We can’t wait to come back and explore the city more when it’s safe to do so!”
