Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Augusta County

We really enjoyed our stay at Rockfish Farmhouse. Sarah & Bryan thought of every last detail. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. We could have used an extra day or two to relax just a little bit longer. We were in town for a Liberty University Graduation and we sure did enjoy coming back each night to the Farmhouse to rest our tired bodies and take in the gorgeous views. We traveled with my elderly parents, and they were so comfortable at Sarah & Bryan's! We could not stop gushing about this hidden little gem. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this experience such a memorable one. We will certainly be back as we have our youngest starting in the Fall at LU. Thanks again & we'll be back soon.

Great house layout with a beautiful porch and lots of parking. The host is very responsive and helpful. It’s a little off the beaten path but close to lots of breweries and wineries. Would absolutely stay here again.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay and was regretful it was for only one night. The views with the full moon was breath taking , 360 views and fireflies at night with a bench swing outside! Inside had everything you needed for a goodnight sleep. The bath tub we didn’t use because it could have been a bit more cleaned from a prior stay but otherwise we loved it. It has a nice rustic charm, nothing overly fancy. The absolute star of the show is the property and how well maintained the grounds were! Check in and out was very clear!

We can’t say enough about our stay at The Wooder House. The home was perfect for our group of six, giving us all our own space to retreat while also offering large spaces to enjoy meals and movies together. Our kids loved the collections of board games, vinyl records and Calvin & Hobbes books. Everything we needed was readily available and thoughtfully organized, and Amy was such an attentive and kind host for our entire stay. Our visit revolved around hiking in Shenandoah, so the home was a great base camp for our adventures. It’s about a 30 minute drive to the south entrance of the park, and 20 minutes to a variety of breweries, coffee shops and vineyards. We truly can’t wait to visit again.

Very cute converted barn, with plenty of sheets, towels, blankets, and kitchen stuff. Easy to find and get in. Beautiful surroundings, and a fire pit with ample outdoor seating. Would love to come back and stay longer! Bold Rock was 10 minutes away, added bonus!

We had a wonderful stay at Bruce’s place as we were in town for my daughter’s graduation at Liberty. It was about an hour drive but totally worth it! The place was clean, modern, and the setting was absolutely beautiful and so quiet! It was big enough to fit my family and parents with 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and extra sleeping spaces in the living room and foyer on the main floor. It had all the amenities in the kitchen including a washer and dryer and detergent for us to use. There is an Aldi about 20 minutes away and a Trader Joe’s about 35 minutes away. We spent our mornings in the gorgeous porch/deck outside until we had to leave. This place is a gem! We will be back again! Thank you!

We will definitely be back to stay here for our next VA trip. We had 10 guests and a dog and we had plenty of space for everyone! The house was fully stocked, especially the kitchen. Mark was fantastic and very responsive. The arcade house was a huge hit and the spot we spent our time the most. Can’t wait to come back!

First off, Rob and Jen are genuinely kind and nice people. That contributes greatly to being super hosts who treat their guests with kindness and concern. Their apartment is just as the photos depicted. It is very clean, has a private entrance and private patio, and has all you need for a comfortable stay. The pasture raised eggs, personal note, and local coffee add a really nice touch. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, it is a short walk to town, and very close to area wineries, hiking, and fishing. Their sweet Golden Retreiver Sadie may greet you. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

Great suite walking distance or very short drive to downtown - would stay again for a future weekend visit

We are repeat guests at Paula’s and it’s always a great time. Visiting our JMU Duke and staying at the Southern Charm Retreat is always fun, convenient to the campus and relaxing. House is roomy and super clean. The game room is a fun bonus and the back yard deck is beautiful, well maintained and great for entertaining. Thanks as always Paula !

It was really great for our family to get away for a few days over Thanksgiving! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the suite was cozy. Overall we enjoyed the flexibility of having a few different rooms, being able to cook (as much as we needed/wanted to), and the fact that the earth room doesn't have windows allowed us to sleep in late. As far as amenities, the tub pretty amazing. I also really enjoyed peeking at some of the crafting books on the bookshelves - the cowgirl room in particular has a workshop feel that I enjoyed! Really grateful we were able to go on this trip - thank you!

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The photos and descriptions are accurate. Accommodations were superb for hosting our large family. Amenities were also great (ex., fire pit). A bit remote, though we would definitely stay here again if the opportunity comes up.

Bill & Sherry were wonderful hosts and their AirBnB is nothing short of spectacular. The pristine views from and comfortable accommodation made this an unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are truly grateful!

This was my second time visiting and my stay was even better than the last time! The hosts were great at communicating and very flexible about check in time. The unit is close to so many fun places to explore! And not too far from other towns with even more shops and activities. Can’t recommend this stay enough and I would love to stay again! Beautiful scenery. Lovely roads to walk up and down. We were too cold for the pool, but got plenty of use out of the fire pit. We enjoyed ourselves. There were a couple kinks along the way, but the host always responded when we reached out and addressed our concerns right away.

This place was beautiful, quiet, clean and had so many extra amenities. The heated pool was great, even on the rainy days! We enjoyed the HBO Max on multiple TVs in the house and even on the porch! The creek was great too for the kids to explore. We were glad we had saved the check in key code ahead of time, as we had no reception until on the cabin’s wifi. Brandon was VERY responsive when we had questions. We definitely hope we are able to stay at the cabin again! Just wish we didn’t have to leave!!

This was a beautiful experience for us. We loved this gem of an Airbnb, giving a grand adventure from the trip there to the fire under starry night sky. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked and extremely helpful. The cabin itself was very attractive and clean. The location was private and surrounded by nature, which is just what we were hoping for. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay!

I’d argue that this is one of the best places to stay in Wintergreen. The cabin itself is perfect. We are a young family and it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. It is very close to all the attractions on the resort. Clay was a great host as well. The perfect amount of communication; engaged without being intrusive. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure their trip is easy and successful!

Absolutely gorgeous farm property. Perfect for a tech free getaway. This was our favorite bnb of our entire roadtrip. Fantastic views of the stars. Loved waking up to ducks quacking outside our window and roosters letting you know they are there. The log cabin is very small and quaint but cozy. Ray and rosemary were extremely friendly. Would recommend this spot to everyone. Very little service in the area but we didnt even notice looking at everything going on at the beautiful property. Will be returning just for this canin!

This is our second year in a row that we stayed here for our annual family retreat (me, my wife and adult children with their partners). We loved it the first time and it was every bit as good the second. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting tucked away in the woods with a mountain view. We spent most of our time during the day out on the decks, which were very comfortable with plenty of seating, outdoor couches and tables. We also took advantage of the fire pit. The house is actually much larger in size than how it looks . There is a good-sized living room with huge couch and large TV. Everyone had private rooms, which were very clean and comfortable with excellent furnishings. The kitchen was fully supplied for our cooking needs. Whenever we had a question Breanna was very quick to respond. If you're looking for a true getaway, I highly recommend staying here.

This was an awesome place to stay while hiking and exploring for the weekend! Great location close to many hiking trails and restaurants. The cabin is beautiful and cozy, we absolutely loved our stay and would absolutely go back!
