Holiday rentals with beach access in Ayrshire

This apartment is gorgeous. Everything about it.... obviously it's location looking straight out onto the sea. near to the ferry over to Cumbrae. Very quiet street outside.... in fact, although the town was busy in the sunshine, it also retained its quiet family atmosphere. In the apartment everything was as described - a helpful welcome pack of bread, milk, eggs and chocolate biscuits! Spotlessly clean, everything worked, good WiFi, and a responsive host to find out one or two little questions. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would hope to come back.

We all had a great time at Claudios flat. It is clean, comfortable and really homely. The view across the bay is stunning and there is always something happening on the water to watch. Claudio was very friendly and helpful when he met us to let us in and responsive to messages. All together an excellent break in a great location. Strongly recommend

Highly enjoyable, but ideally it would have received 4.5 stars. The negative aspect of this apartment was the rather noisy boiler situated in the second bedroom.

This was our third time staying at Neil’s place as it’s a perfect place to stay. Gorgeous apartment in a great area for the beach and close to town for restaurants,etc.

Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Views from windows and balcony are stunning, ever changing skies and sea, with gannets, oystercatchers, ringed plovers, herons. Spotted an otter on the beach late one evening, lots of wildlife to be seen on Arran. We also saw golden eagles, red squirrels, seals, deer. Simply Thai restaurant next door was excellent, eat in and takeaway. Everyone in village was very friendly and helpful. Beverley and Patrick were ideal hosts, responding immediately when we had a problem (of our own making!). Hope to return.

Sarah Jane has an absolutely wee gem of a property, excellent location and flat had everything we needed for a fantastic stay , would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again, thank you Sarah Jane, we had a wonderful holiday 😀

From the minute you open the shuttered windows onto the beach, you’re on a perfect escape. We were blessed with some beautiful days and took ferries from nearby towns to Arran, Bute and Gt Cambrae. The ferries were so reliable be hopped over to Dunoon and over to Tarbert and explored Argyll. We mainly ate in or outside in the secluded garden but did enjoy a delicious seafood at Finn’s restaurant. We would definitely return.

We loved staying here. It is an exceptional setting with stunning views whatever the weather. The cottage is beautifully done out inside and feels like home away from home. You can completely cut off from the outside world and relax and unwind. Absolutely worth the 5 stars and we’ll definitely be booking to go back.

Beautiful home. Recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. Elizabeth was always responsive and on hand if we needed her. She provided lots of very helpful recommendations for food and activities during our stay. Fabulous home and host.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

The promise of the view was fabulous and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for a peaceful and secluded place, this is the place. It is not perfectly placed if you are looking for tourist places to visit but the place is enough for itself for a few nights and it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the calm. The bedrooms and living rooms are very beautiful and well decorated. Thank you for providing a beautiful home like this.

Gorgeous home and yard! Loved it!

An utterly beautiful cottage in a fantastic location, with an enchanting little garden. There was everything you needed and was of the highest quality. Rosemary was so helpful, before, during and after our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and she responded almost immediately. The island of Bute is amazing, peaceful, relaxing and full of wildlife. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay again if we are allowed- well worth the money. Thank you so much Rosemary

Great well equipped house, amazing views, walking distance to the pub, loads of hot water, comfy beds and sofas, everything worked. Dog friendly. No off road parking but there was always plenty of space on the road in front of the house

This was our second stay at Grants home. A lovely house in an ideal location. We were blessed with great weather and with the beach in such easy reach we swam every day. We would not hesitate to recommend this house as the ideal location for a stay on Arran.

We had an excellent stay at Cobblerview Apartment! The view was, of course, gorgeous - but the care that Carol & Don took in ensuring our stay was comfortable was greatly appreciated and made our experience especially enjoyable. The apartment is cosy and immediately inviting, with a sizable living room space and dining table positioned next to the window and looking out onto Loch Long. Though the view you have of the loch itself is expansive, we never felt as though we didn’t have enough privacy - aside from this window out onto the water, almost all of the natural light that filters in is through skylights. We never needed for utensils or utilities, Carol & Don provided a full range of crockery, cleaning supplies and towels It’s worth bearing in mind that as this is a waterfront property, the bugs are in abundance around summer and you’ll need to have your spray on if you want to sit out on the balcony this time of year!

Alison was the perfect host. The information prior to arrival was detailed and sent in plenty time. Alison was empathetic to our reasons for staying in the house and went out her way to make a stressful situation that little bit easier for us.....it was like having a family member checking in on us.....Thank-you Alison! I would thoroughly recommend staying here, the house is beautiful and sits right at the beach which is ideal for families (Alison has a cupboard full of goodies to entertain the kids both inside and out down at the beach). Great host helped me last minute with booking and a lovely little flat everything you need and clean host communicates very well

The location was absolutely pristine with the most breathtaking views from every window. We slept so well! Jill and Simon were so proactive and easy to communicate with. we felt very welcome and loved our stay!

We were warmly welcomed by Cathy. She had bread and shortbread and jam ready for us. That she had made herself😋. The landlords were easily accessible when we needed them. The apartment had everything we needed and we received clear instructions on how to operate the equipment Furthermore, we had a fantastic view of Loch Long and the mountains. Beautiful garden and terrace with beautiful plants. And especially not to forget a nice one at 5 minutes walking distance to let the dog out. This is a place that we will definitely book if we visit the highlands again.😃

An amazing Airbnb - this is our second visit and is a fantastic place to recharge your batteries! The host, Vince is really helpful and his Airbnb is one of the best we have visited!

I had a really nice time in Helensburgh and especially at the apartment. It had everything I needed. The bed was super comfy! The flat is really close to the Central trainstation, but quit a walk from the Upper trainstation. I underestimated that walk uphill. The flat is close to the waterfront, which I loved! All in all my stay was very nice and I can absolutely recommend it!

Olena's Appartment is in the best part of town, within walking distance of the beautiful beach and sea and within easy reach of local areas to visit. Olena was so easy to communicate with, replying almost immediately to any questions I had, she met us on check-in and gave us a guided tour of the property and having Olena standing at the door to welcome us with a friendly smile was lovely. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Olena's place and if I visit Ayr again I would certainly book it.
