5 stars for the hosts’ flexibility and willingness to accommodate our changing schedule. The place is as described, and as noted by others: a good pad to explore Bacalar and not a long term stay option, per se. Everything was clean and worked well. The parking is behind a secure gate, and everything feels safe about the location. A nice walk into the town that takes you past a lot of “real Bacalar”.

I thought the place was very nice. It's well located and we were able to leave the car at the reception. Keep in mind that it is on the 3rd floor, which means you have a good view and a nice balcony, but there is no elevator. In our case, it's fine, but if it's someone older, they should consider it.

Loved this airbnb, we were very comfortable. It was conveniently located and the airbnb host provides bikes if you want. The host provided recommendations for everything and was very responsive.

We were very comfortable at Mariana's place. We loved the details they left us (drinks, cookies and coffee). In a quiet area, we were able to enjoy the pool a couple of times just for us. About 10 minutes walk from the center and the lagoon.

Very good service from the host, the conditions of the house were excellent, the dock to the lagoon was a plus with a very good area to enjoy the water.

If you are looking for a nice holiday at a great hidden spot on the Mexican Caribbean called Bacalar and it’s beautiful multicoloured lagoon 70 Kilometres long Casita Xooc is a great choice to stay there while you enjoy the surroundings. A very nice, clean and comfortable place with a friendly and informative host. Happy holidays!

The place is beautiful, it has extra elements that improve the stay. I thought the living room and pool area would be small but everything is spacious and very good in size. Very kind of the person who received us and would definitely recommend and return.

Meredith's place was perfect for our trip to Mahaual. The house was great to come home to every evening and had all of the amenities we could ever need. The pool and outdoor space were greatly appreciated after a long day of fishing. I wish we could have spent more time at the house but our trip was centered around fly fishing in the area. We would definitely stay again if it is available.

The place was exact as we imagined, the unpaved entrance road, but it's normal for a private place and by the lagoon. Verónica received us super friendly, we checked in very late at night and she was attentive and explained everything in detail. The place is very clean, the towels super clean, the beds too. As a note: They need an oversize or bedspread on top of the bed sheet, but other than that, everything is fine. It's a rustic place and I really liked that I didn't have a TV to appreciate the beauty of the area. I work remotely and the wifi worked perfect at all times. Victor (the host) is super helpful at all times and with a very quick response to any questions. Recommended if you go as a couple without children and you are looking for something very simple as you think you are out exploring the area.
