Villa holiday rentals in Bahía Ballena

We didn't want this vacation to end! This place was so beautiful and quiet. The pool, bar and outdoor kitchen were perfect. So well designed. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking the grounds and picking up fresh mangoes, coconuts, limes, starfruit and bananas. The wonderful scent of the ylang ylang trees was everywhere. Absolutely amazing. The house was spacious and we loved the doors of every room and the beautiful arched windows. Great architecture! The towels smelt fresh and were of great quality. The welcome book was truly helpful. Any question we had - the answer was in there. Very well done! One week was just not enough.

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb when it lost power. I found Lizette’s place and messaged asking if they had power. She was quick to respond that they did. Their self check in option made our emergency last minute check in a breeze. Any time we needed something she was so quick to respond. The place itself is in an insanely gorgeous location. It’s a gated community and very safe. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets overlooking the ocean. We saw coati and iguanas. The place was incredibly clean. Like immaculate, really. It’s nearby to everything you need, about 3 minutes to town. Could not recommend this place enough it was an absolutely dream!

HIGHLY recommend this airbnb for trips to Uvita! It was a very quiet and safe location but close to all highlights of town. Easy to find and Tony helped with check-in sharing all the local pearls for food, hikes, and beaches. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5, clean, well-stocked, and lovely air conditioning! The pool, yard, and trampoline were amazing bonuses and our kids swam from the end of our busy days exploring until bed. On top of that, we loved a much beloved stuffed animal and Sasha and Tony were incredibly communicative and helpful in reuniting us. Will definitely stay here again on trips back to Uvita.

We booked this place literally the same day we arrived, so we were hugely appreciative of Dells responsiveness. He got the place sorted and ready for us by 4pm. The caretaker Adrian met us on the property and let us in, he was really lovely and also available anytime on the phone to help us with anything. The house was just what we needed. Super private pool with the most incredible views over the ocean. Beautiful birds soaring above the clouds. Agoutis running across the lawn etc. The power was out one night and we definitely appreciated the big bbq and the candles so we could still enjoy our fish from the market. The drive is not for the feint of heart and absolutely requires a 4x4 - but once you’ve done it the first time it’s totally fine after that! We much preferred being up the mountain in the cool quiet air than down in town. Totally worth the drive in our opinion.

Beautiful home and surroundings. The beds are all super comfortable and 3 private rooms. A short walk to the beach, in gorgeous jungle. Can't wait to return.

We had an incredible one week stay! The villa was comfortable and clean and the view was priceless. We spent our mornings doing yoga on the deck and bird watching. We saw a lot of wildlife from the deck including toucans, iguanas and monkeys. We visited the local waterfall which was refreshing and also used this villa as a launch point for Nauyaca falls, Manuel Antonio park and surfing at Dominicalito. A perfect place to stay for our Costa Rica adventure. Pura Vida!

What a great place to make great memories with your loved ones. Location is fabulous. House is spacious. Pool and tree net are incredible.

We had a wonderful stay over New Year. David was responsive, gave clear instructions on how to get to the property and his lovely housekeeper met us. The setting is peaceful with wonderful views over the Pacific / numerous birds to watch and two beaches within a 5 minute walk from the property which were safe to swim and watch the sunsets. Our 3 children loved the pool. Would recommend to anyone wanting to travel near Uvita as less touristy area and felt like real Costa Rica. There are also good restaurants and waterfalls to visit in Uvita and my daughter and I went horse riding on the beach which was deserted so great to canter on. A wonderful stay.

I have stayed in dozens of Airbnbs around the world and this one was absolutely immaculate and quite possibly my favorite. The property itself has been curated with deep intention and an artistic eye. It was the first time I have ever stayed in an Airbnb that truly exceeded the expectations portrayed in the already beautiful photos. The views are some of the best I’ve ever seen, the house is stunning and impressive and brought together with a truly designer flair to it. Every detail was thoughtful and of quality. Pascal and Virginie were wonderful hosts and the home cooked breakfast they offer is phenomenal and as gorgeously prepared with the same attention to detail that the property boasts. I will be retuning and recommending this property to friends as family as well!

Absolutely beautiful place. Paradise Pictures don’t do it justice. Sitting on the patio having coffee every morning listening to the sounds of the rainforest is a truly incredible experience. Everything you need is here. There’s a small marketplace and 2 spectacular restaurants about 500meters up the hill. You can walk to them but you better be in great shape. I would recommend driving. Also highly recommend 4 wheel drive vehicle.

My family absolutely loved Casa Beanie. We really appreciated how nice the host were anytime I communicated with them. I loved the fact there is a book for you with local reccomendations, such as eateries and activities. Our favorite place to eat was los Laurelies if I spelled it correctly. The food was tremendous and had to go back. The home itself was awesome, very modern and clean. The area is quite and private. My son really enjoyed the pool which is absolutely beautiful. We had an awesome time in UVITA. You will not come across more friendlier people. Some of the nicest and helpful people I've ever met. I definitely reccomended this place to stay and wouldn't hesitate staying again. Some local activities we did was horseback riding, Whales tails beach, Uvita Waterfall, and Naycauna waterfalls. The waterfalls are absolutely breath taking.

This place is amazing. The views are spectacular! Jorge showed us around as soon as we arrived and was very informative. We saw Toucans from the pool area and heard the Howling Monkeys early in the morning. You will need a 4x4 to get up to the house, the road can difficult if it's raining. The bedrooms have A/C, but the main area with the kitchen does not. Because of this you will need to open the doors completely and this does cause bugs to be attracted to the lights in the house especially at night. It would have been nice to be able to close the screen to prevent spiders and flying bugs inside the house, but it was locked. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer if needed. The pool was too cold for us to get into, but that would have been an amazing experience as well. Just FYI, they have cameras around the entire outside. Front and back, so when you are outside enjoying the views they will have access to the area.

Our stay was magical. The house absolutely exceeded expectations from the minute we arrived. The view was spectacular, the pool was beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the decor was comfortable and inviting. A 10 out of 10!

This home is absolutely magical! Perched atop a mountain, it offers sweeping panoramic views of the ocean and the iconic Whale’s Tail beach—truly one of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Surrounded by treetops, we were treated to daily visits from howler monkeys, toucans, and other vibrant bird species, making the experience feel like a luxury treehouse retreat. The house itself is beautifully designed and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The negative edge pool is a showstopper—floating there while taking in the endless ocean view was unforgettable. What truly sets this property apart is the host. Incredibly helpful and attentive, he provided concierge-level service, arranging our transportation to and from the airport, a rental car delivered right to the house, and even a private chef who cooked us some amazing meals. We could not have asked for more a better experience.

This was by far one of the most well managed and cared for homes we have ever stayed at. In addition to meticulously cared for, the host was so responsive and proactive. She absolutely made our time in Costa Rica more enjoyable by recommending chefs, places to eat, activities to enjoy and more. Marjorie even saved us from ourselves by giving us realistic driving times from one activity we thought we would squeeze in on the way from the airport. If she hadn't advised us otherwise, we would have added several hours of driving to our trip only to arrive at the activity after hours. The house is new and modern. The pool was amazing for adults and kids alike, monkeys visited us frequently and the yoga pad was an unexpected nice place to start our mornings. The location of the house was excellent too. It is a short drive to the grocery store, yet feels removed from everything. There is a gorgeous ocean view from the pool, kitchen/dining/living room and four of the bedrooms. A perfect place!

we just got back from Madre Selva and I am not sure I can find the words. Unique, peaceful, private and the most beautiful location with unforgettable views of jungle, whale's tail beach, ocean and sunrises. The house has everything you need and more. Carolina and her husband are the nicest and the most welcoming people and their breakfasts and dinners were so delicious. They took a such good care of us, organizing everything and helping us with everything we needed. we felt right at home the moment we arrived. Amazing memories ❤️ thank you so much! Pura Vida 🌴

Villa de Lorretta is well accessible, 8-10 minutes drive to downtown. The sea view with the back of the all-glazed villa gives us an amazing view of the sea and the sunset! All amenities are there. The courtyard with the pool is very intimate. The greenery is beautiful and lush! Pineapples and bananas can be harvested on the grounds if they are ready! Direct from the balcony, we have toucans, Aras parrots and another variety whose name I can't remember, Capuchin monkeys etc! Lorretta and her daughter Sherley are available for needs and above all do not hesitate to write to them! We highly recommend their villa for your stay in Uvita! Thanks and enjoy your next stay!

The most gorgeous place! Trees visibly filled with white faced monkeys, scarlet macaws. Howler monkeys in the area but hard to spot. Perfect pool. 10/10

We loved our stay at Pat & Amy's casita and wish we could have stayed longer! It was by far the best place we stayed our entire trip. When we checked in, Pat met us and walked us through the house and gave us tips and recommendations. They even had some snacks and fruit waiting for us, which was really kind. The casita itself was amazing. Spotless, full kitchen, a whole closet area, beach chairs & towels, actual hot water in the shower, and a very comfortable bed! Not to mention the amazing views and all the beautiful plants and wildlife on the property. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony listening to the birds and enjoying the peace & quiet. We also spent an equal amount of time hanging with Pat and Kaia (their sweet puppy) around the pool. Pat & Amy had great suggestions for tours, beaches, and amazing food in the area. They were so gracious, accommodating, hospitable, and genuine. It was truly a wonderful place to stay and we wish we could go back!

Stunning house! The views are incredible and lovely to wake up in the morning with floor to ceiling windows of the view across the valley. It’s pretty remote but that comes with being on the side of the mountain with the views and only a 20min drive down to the supermarket / closest restaurants.

Martina and the place were absolutely spectacular. Upon arrival, you are taken away to another place with the lush jungle, amazing landscaping, and beautiful views overlooking the Uvita Whale’s Tail below. The property and house are perfect and the location is great as well as you are a less than 10 minute from the town of Uvita with lots of great restaurants & amenities. Can’t wait to come back at is it absolute paradise!

This is a beautiful home with an amazing ocean view. Nahomy met us at the home and talked us through everything. She had great recommendations for places to go and where to eat, and responded quickly to any questions or needs that came up. The house is comfortable with lots of outdoor space, and the pool was perfect for swimming, both day and night. Since it is so hot and humid in Costa Rica, I thought we might not use the hot tub, but it was actually a great way to relax in the evening after a dip in the cool pool. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and the bathroom in the main bedroom has the most amazing ocean view. One thing to be aware of is that there are homes close by on either side, so it is not 100% secluded, but we still felt very comfortable and relatively private. It was just a five-minute drive from Uvita so it was easy to get to everything. Great place!

Our stay at Nature's Edge Hotel literally could not have been better! The welcome was warm, and the accommodations were perfect. We stayed in the Heliconia Casita. The view from the balcony was amazing. In addition to the spectacular view, we were fortunate enough to see two kinds of toucans in the trees just off our balcony. I am not normally much of a birdwatcher, but I found myself truly enjoying the multitude of multicolored birds flitting back and forth around our Casita. The Casita itself was delightful. The kitchenette was great and made preparing meals/snacks easy. Keith and Joe truly thought of everything with the items they provided for our use. The shared kitchen/pool area was gorgeous and provided additional stunning views. We enjoyed meeting there each morning for the awesome breakfast Joe and Keith created. It is a great atmosphere to chat with your fellow guests. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Truely, our only regret was that we didn’t book more days there!!
