Welcome to Villa Maria, our fairy tale guest house in a calm location next to the forest and with a vast garden in the village Lauterbourg in Northern Alsace, France. It's just 5 min by foot to the heart of the village with a couple of bakeries, restaurants, a grocery store and small shops, or 10 min to the beach & lake. It's only 2 min by car from Germany, and a perfect location for exploring the Rhine border region Karlsruhe-Strasbourg, or for a rest on the way when travelling across Europe.

The "Sonnenhäusle" is located in Sasbachwalden absolutely quietly in the middle of nature. Built in 1936 by Karl Fritz, father of the Bambi Prize. Completely renovated in 2024, newly furnished and expanded with a panoramic sauna and a balcony roof. The associated 10,000 m² forest and meadow property is located directly next to the "Black Forest National Park" - directly on mountain bike and hiking routes. In this relaxing altitude you have a wide view of the sea of lights of the Rhine Valley!

The beautiful Tonbachtal, located in the heart of the northern Black Forest, is just the place to find a little rest and tranquility. 550 km of beautiful hiking trails start right outside the front door. Approximately 39 square meters, living area, bedroom, bathroom with tub, well-equipped studio kitchen with stove, combi microwave (oven and grill) cooking utensils, spices and vinegars/oils. Newly renovated and modernized in April 2023

Black Forest villa floor, 2 terraces & garden sauna

Modern, charming, historic/Bj. 1852, spacious/about.97 sqm, practically and easy to feel good. A countess lived here. The view alone makes you suspect staying right in the garden. On the terraces you can enjoy views of the rose garden, chill and grill. The cleaning fee of €50,- (incl. Bed linen and towels for 2 P) please pay cash upon arrival. The garden sauna is located right opposite the terrace d apartment. Sauna can be booked separately spontaneously, per booking 35€.

In the middle of the vineyards

In the middle of the vineyards, on the southern slope, with great views of the front Kinzig Valley, our house is in a secluded location. In the basement, at ground level to the garden, there is a cozily furnished apartment, where you can be comfortable in any season and in any weather. The combined kitchen-living room, bedroom and bathroom are accessible on around 45 m² barrier-free. Right outside the front door you will find endless hiking trails through the Black Forest.

The "Lerchennest" is located separately on the upper floor of the rustic half-timbered house in 1890. The small village of Aach is only a 5-minute drive from the spa town of Freudenstadt and offers the ideal base to discover the Black Forest. But there is also a lot to explore around the Lerchennest: the natural garden, a fireplace for grilling, a sauna to relax, feed goats or hike together, cuddly hangovers and all kinds of more.
