Monaltrie Holiday apartment at Ballater

Ballater is an attractive riverside village in rural Aberdeenshire with many amenities including an interesting Golf Course. There are significant Royal Connections with Balmoral Castle, the summer residence of the Royal Family only a short drive away.There are a good number of places to eat, catering for many tastes as well as a well stocked supermarket. Outdoor activities include many walks and Biking trails with two bike hire sources in the village and the Cairngorms are not too far away.

Idyllic Farmhouse in Stunning Deeside Location

Blackness Farmhouse is a traditional cottage still retaining many of its original features. Bathrooms and kitchen have been modernized, open fires replaced for wood burners and carpeting added to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was our home while we converted the nearby barns into our new house. and although storage was tight for a busy family of 6, we loved our time living there and always felt it would make a perfect holiday home. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Royal Deeside 1 Bedroom self-contained 'Bothy'

Self contained annexe in the heart of Royal Deeside. The 'bothy' is a 1 bedroom home attached to our converted farmhouse. Downstairs has a spacious fully-equipped kitchen/living area with sofa bed and log burner. Upstairs is a double bedroom and shower room. Just 6 miles from Ballater, and in the Cairngorms National Park, the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve is on our doorstep with walks and cycle routes. Close by is Tarland Trails 2 mtb centre. Our property has bike wash and storage.

The Annex ( with Sauna )

Self check-in is available if required. Self contained annex with spacious, south facing bedroom with access out to the garden which guests can use. We are 2 minutes walk from the river and can direct you to nearby hills and lochs where scenic walks can be enjoyed. There is a cosy, friendly pub just round the corner which serves home cooked meals all day. They welcome "muddy boots, kids and dogs". We are dog friendly too so please feel free to bring your well behaved dog along.

Welcome to our lodge in Royal Deeside. It’s a quiet, private spot where we’re lucky to be surrounded by nature and vast, open views of the mountains. The lodge is a lovely place to slow down—whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, curling up by the wood-burning stove, or enjoying the hills. Thornbank is a snug and simple timber built holiday cottage in the heart of the village of Braemar.  Paragliding, mountain biking, skiing, walking or perhaps a relaxing holiday at one with nature?  Here you can indulge in all the activities that the Upper Dee Valley and Cairngorms National Park have to offer, then return to a cosy hearth and home. We are located in the centre of the village, but set back behind the road in a quiet spot with woods to the rear.

Nochty Studio |Strathdon |Cairngorms National Park

A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.

A great place for walks and cycle routes. For the more adventurist cyclist we have Aberdeenshire's only purpose built Mountain Bike Trail Center, only a short ride away. In the nearby village of Tarland,there is a 9-hole course for the golf enthusiast.
