Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Barjac

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

A perfect little house to escape to! Ideally located in the Cevennes, super quiet, decorated with great taste and well equipped. With extra pool and beautiful pétanque track... And hosts available, responsive and very friendly!

We enjoyed every minute we spent at Angelique's home! She is the perfect host, very friendly and courteous, had a lot of recommendations for us and even bought some food and coffee for our arrival. Her son was also very helpful and nice and their two dogs are very sweet. The apartment is very cosy, clean, nicely put together and situated in a lovely area. We definitely recommend to stay there!

Very good stay at Laurie and Jonathan's, who are very welcoming, friendly hosts while remaining very discreet. The accommodation matches the photos, very clean, decorated with great taste, very functional. There is absolutely nothing missing. Small outdoor area and private parking are + ++. And we recommend the meal board, hearty and very good! Thank you Laurie and Jonathan!

Excellent stay, in a beautiful quiet house, with a very beautiful garden to rest in. Very pleasant house to live in, located in a beautiful environment, close to very beautiful villages to visit, a river where you can swim and where you can do plenty of hiking. Finally, we were very well received by Valérie, who is very kind.

We have just returned from a week at Rogier's Gordes house, and we are already planning a return for next year! We had booked this property on 3 previous occasions, but each one was cancelled, twice because of Covid, and then because of a family bereavement, - but for each of these, Rogier was understanding and supportive, so we were relieved to finally make it in 2025. It was worth the wait, as the property is simply wonderful! As the photos suggest, this is an extremely spacious and well appointed home, and the reality is even more impressive. Despite the mixed May weather, we took every opportunity to sit on the terrace, enjoying that wonderful panoramic view. Walking around the village, especially the footpaths leading up to the famous viewing point, is a real pleasure, and kept us fit. Returning for an ice cream from the cafe next door was a recurring treat. Thanks too, to Sophie for meeting us at arrival and departure. We hope to see you next year!

Our host was really great, very accommodating and his accommodation is really good, there is everything you need in it to have a good stay. I recommend without hesitation. If we have to come back I already know where to go.

Great house for a family vacation! The house has all facilities you need and is located conveniently close to Suze-La-Rousse (small village with some nice shops and restaurant).

The place is truly magical! There is a special energy. The pool is so relaxing that you dont want to leave the chateau. In the morning you will have freshly baked croissants by Alisson! +the fig jam and orange marmolade were so delicious! Alisson and Costas are really the warmest hosts you can imagine. We will come back!

We had a great 2 weeks at Steeve's. I came with my husband and our dog to recharge our batteries and go on beautiful hikes. The house and garden are very well furnished. The pool, jacuzzi, and petanque court were very much appreciated! Steeve was great, very responsive to every message, he even dropped off charcoal so we could have a bbq. We can only recommend it! Thanks to Steeve for his kindness, we'll be back with pleasure!

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

Couldn’t have asked for a better house - ticked all the boxes and was conveniently close to Avignon without being in town. The house was spotless with all amenities thought about. Pool, loungers, outside dining was brilliant. Will definitely be back.

The location is very nice. Somewhat remote, but by car you can get to the surrounding towns very quickly. The pool is fantastic. You can relax very well. You can walk directly from the house into the forest and the vineyards. That was great for our dog. In the apartment there are no spices, oil, vinegar, detergent, etc. which is not bad at all, but important to know before arrival. Thank God we had everything with us. The apartment is very nicely furnished and air-conditioned. The kitchen is very well equipped. In the village there are various restaurants. We were very pleased and would come back any time.

Very responsive and flexible host. The house is superb, well-equipped and very modern. We were a group of 17 adults and 3 children, the separate spaces with the 2 kitchen-living rooms are extremely practical. A great stay, we recommend +++

We have been able to enjoy the full 100% of our leave thanks to the warm welcome, the beautiful accommodation with the well-equipped kitchen to cook with all the local organic delicacies from the area, the good large bed with a fantastic view to wake up to, the lovely terrace with lots of sun and a wonderful swimming pool … and especially the view of the mountain to dream away to !!! Thank you for letting us come and enjoy this wonderful place !! We'll be back !!

One of the best Airbnbs I've ever been to. The accommodation is superb, tastefully decorated and warm. I can only recommend it if you want to discover the Ardèche and stay in a spacious, cozy apartment, in which you feel really good. The village of Balazuc is beautiful, and you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes, we enjoyed it. Mary is a great host, responsive and thanks to her everything was easy and chill.

We truly enjoyed our stay, a perfect location to unwind and immerse yourself in nature. It was a nice surprise to find so many animals: a horse, super cute dogs and a cat. The garden is beautiful, you can walk around, go down to the river, enjoy quietness and pure nature all around. The road to the location is also very nice - like a hidden path through nature. It’s definitely a place to come back to, with an amazing energy. Even two nights restore you fully and feels like you stayed much longer than this. Not to mention a stylish and tastefully decorated house. You can find all you need. Amazing both side terraces - to enjoy a morning sun and a sunset.

We had a great time at Margrit's place. Very responsive and welcoming host, and the place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable and perfectly equipped. The location is ideal, quiet, while remaining close to shops and restaurants and especially the gorges of the Ardèche. We would highly recommend it.

This place is a hidden gem for anyone looking to spend some time truly in nature.. the sound of birds in the morning and the sunsets are beautiful. A car is required as the place is hidden away but it’s definitely worth the extra mile for the experience. Florian has put together a lot of local recommendations and the morning fresh bread available on some days is a must! All in all we had a great time and recharged our batteries!

Very nice cottage, full of charm in a village also very cute. Quiet, while being close to lots of activities (animal park, caves, Vallon...). Very well equipped, spacious and cool accommodation in summer.
