Railway Retreat - Cosy 2 bed

Enjoy our holiday cottage on the edge of the Lake District. Many lakes, fells and beaches are easily drivable. Birkrigg common isn’t far and gives lovely views. The Railway Inn pub is a 5-min walk away & serves food some evenings There are buses to both Barrow & Ulverston and beyond at the end of the road. Ulverston is famous for its festivals which attract lots of tourists. Barrow is only a 10-minute drive away for shops or if you want to go a little further Walney nature reserves are lovely.

Atelier was inspired by painting holidays in France. It is a spacious studio at Hylands providing a base for escape, rest and adventure. It is cosy with a wood burner, uses high quality materials throughout, curated with love and care. Surrounded by beautiful gardens to explore, where you can dine al fresco or just sit and watch the wildlife and the ever changing views. It's 12 minutes walk to Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes to our local pub, the 'Riflemans Arms'.

The rear garden, shared with the main house, has comfortable furniture. The single owner has the main house, though she is often away. Local amenities include a corner shop and a pub.

Our light modern 2 bedroom apartment is situated on the second floor of our impressive building in the centre of Millom with stunning views to the Dudfon Estuary and beyond. Excellent location with pubs, restaurants and public transport all within 100 metre walk. Hodbarrow nature reserve and some fabulous beaches are all within a 25minute walk. Millom is a great location to explore the Western Lakes and Cumbria Coast. We look forward to welcoming you.
