You can definitely get around by public transport, however, a rental car will normally be preferable. Mikrohuset ligger i fredfylte og naturskjønne omgivelser i Solbakken- tunet på Os. Fremfor huset ligger Galleri Solbakkestova med sin tilhørende skulpturhage som alltid er åpen for allmenheten. Rundt huset beiter geiter, og man har utsikt over noen frittgående høns, og noen alpakkaer på den andre siden av veien. Huset har terrasser på begge sider, hvor det er herlig å sitte å ta inn omgivelsene og kjenne på roen. Det er også flotte turstier like ved.
