Great recommendations for Chateau's, Restaurants and things to do. We had 8 nights and could have easily had 8 more and still not seen a fraction of what the area has to offer. Very private and quiet location. I would give Caroline's beautiful Gite 6 stars if able

Very charming and utterly peaceful location.

A gorgeous old stone house with chic updates. We only used 3 bedrooms and they were all comfortable with modern baths. Many places to gather, especially outside. The living room was lovely and welcoming. The farnhouse kitchen was very well supplied. The pool house was to die for and we had cocktails and even dinner there one evening. The views! Gorgeous, with castles and hot air balloons. The hosts live on site and were delightful when we ran across them but very discreet. It definitely felt like “our” property. Nothing negative to say, and we were blessed with fabulous weather! It’s in the heart of the must see towns along the Dordogne, with many restaurants and sights within 5-10 minutes. Our stay at Le Favreau was wonderfully relaxing - the surroundings, the pool, the spaciousness and character of the house and the warm welcome from Pascal all made it into a holiday to remember. The pool was a great hit with the whole family - from oldies to the two year olds. The local wildlife - frogs, coipyu, woodpeckers, bats, etc added another dimension that we hadn't expected. The peace and magic of the house and its surroundings reminded me of Le Domaine Perdu in Alain Fournier's Grand Meaulnes. I would love to go back there one day.

We enjoyed our two weeks stay at Véronique‘s a lot. The house is very nice, we felt at home right away. It is located in a lovely, well kept and quite village. If you see the neighbours in the streets, they are friendly. The house itself is very clean, offers even more space than the photos indicate, and is very well decorated. The kitchen has everything we needed when it comes to utensils and machinery. The bathrooms are nice, too. The view from the house onto the property and surrounding landscape is amazing and invites you to relax. We took a lot of meals on the balcony. We enjoyed the garden and especially the pool which is looked after by a specialist every view days. We saw a lot of different birds while being in the garden. The village offers a small restaurant and a very good bakery both with French cuisine/ pastry.

We had a brilliant stay! Tosha and Robert were absolutely fantastic — friendly, responsive, and so thoughtful. The house itself was beautiful, spotless, and set in gorgeous surroundings. They went above and beyond to accommodate our 18-month-old, providing a stair gate, cot, and high chair, which made everything so much easier for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommended!

We had the best week in this beautiful house. The outlook and the facilities were perfect and Lili was a fantastic host. Would recommend.

Great place for exploring the Dordogne countryside and surrounding areas. The house with a nice outdoor terrace with dining table and seating allowing us to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and to listen to the birdsong. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was well equipped and we lacked for nothing. We booked very late and Pauline was very helpful and accommodating of our requirements, and the communication was excellent with lots of suggestions of things to do and places to go.

I highly recommend if you need to stay nearby, choose this house. It is beautiful, peaceful and located in absolute serenity!

Beautiful residence with old charm in a very beautiful park with large trees. The garden is well-kept, the pool is very nice. Warm welcome from the owners. Nearby walks and tours. A small green setting perfect for friendly or family reunions.

The best lodging we've had on this month long trip to France. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, private but close to all the things, the best sleep I've had in years, wonderfully appointed kitchen. Heads up that there is a washer but no dryer, but we managed fine with the very large drying rack provided. Would not hesitate to recommend, I wish I had spent more of my time here.

This Airbnb is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The cottage is beautifully decorated , very romantic, with everything you could possibly want. The garden is also very pretty. Although it's only a 2 minute walk to a bakery, small supermarket and quite a few restaurants, it is in a quiet location. There is also a farmer's market on Monday mornings. We just loved everything. Chantal was extremely helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to see. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much Chantal for sharing your gorgeous cottage.

Great hosts and great place to stay if you’re visiting Monflaquin. Lovely views from the terrace. Will definitely stay again if we’re back in Monflaquin

We were a group of 6 and had a fantastic time in Rachel's house in Thédirac. The kitchen was very well equipped for us to prepare meals, there were lots of lovely outdoor places to sit and eat, the garden was beautiful and well maintained (and a great source of herbs for cooking), and it was a real treat to walk to the bakery each morning for fresh bread and croissants. It was about 30-60 mins drive from the main attractions, which was fine for half-day or day trips. Couldn't have asked for more.

We had a great time in this relaxing, soothing home. The house is very spacious, which is very comfortable and everyone can have independent and isolated rest areas both indoors and outdoors. This building is really worth knowing about. Nina and Axel are very organized and efficient in giving all the instructions and in an ultra-fast way. We recommend this stone house combining charm and character.

we loved our stay at Elsa's place. it's set in beautiful surroundings and everything was as described. well equipped and everything you need. the pool is the icing on the cake! very responsive host who can't do enough to help you and who knows how to respect your privacy. we only wish we'd booked longer!

You couldn't wish for a better host than Arnaud! Proactively check if everything is to your liking, or inform if help is needed. Via the app to respect your peace and privacy, but take the time for a conversation if you want. The accommodation is new and cozy with an eye for details. We felt right at home there! The thick walls keep heat out and you can have a good night's sleep in the lovely beds and good sound insulation. The location is conveniently located in relation to the many attractions in the area. Much has already been written about it in the introduction to Arnoud and Elodie, but if you want to swim in peace, relax on the side and lie in the shade under the trees with a catering facility, go to Pont de Vicq in Le Buisson de Cadouin. The town of Monpazier is also definitely worth a visit! Normally, supermarkets are miles away, but in this place, there is one 900 meters away. Arnoud, Elodie, thank you for the wonderful time!!

Our holiday at Morganes House was SO perfekt. I lost my husband four months ago and I needed the peace together with my children and this house was more than perfect for this - so thank you.

Valerie’s home was in a great location for exploring Bergerac - a 5 min walk from the town centre. The house was well equipped and the garden was lovely. On street parking was available. Valerie was a lovely host and we had a wonderful holiday. Highly recommend.

This was one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing, air bnb experiences I have ever had. First, the location is incredible. You feel like you were placed in the middle of an ethereal countryside with nothing but rolling hills, the sound of birds, a gentle breeze and an occasional hello from the hosts smiling sweet dog Ella. Second, the house itself is exactly like the pictures on the listing, if not more beautiful in person. You can tell Sara has worked as a designer because the interior decor is stunning. Everything is so comfortable and clean and forces you into a state of relaxation immediately. Lastly, Sara herself is an angel. She will do anything in her power to make sure your stay is as peaceful and stress free as possible. I have never had a more helpful yet non-invasive host on Airbnb. If you are looking for a magical retreat into the gorgeous French countryside I couldn’t recommend this place more. I would plan a trip back to France simply for this air BnB. 1000/10!!
