Welcome to the house of my childhood memories. It is located right below the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, surrounded by lakes and mountains. Inspired by the contrast between heritage and sharing economies, the designer Michl Sommer and his team of featuring-amsterdam have created this microcosm inside the traditional neighbourhood of Hohenschwangau. The small apartment is on the ground floor of my grandparents' craft house. It was the workshop of the leather trouser maker Melder in Füssen. It is something for lovers of ancient, rustic walls. The apartment is located at the gates of Füssen on a slope up to the city wall. Within walking distance you are in the middle of the old town with its bustling activities or in the picturesque mountain landscape of the Ostallgäus.
