A private ancient house in a port town

Relax in a small port town. We have self-renovated an old house built about 70 years ago. Spread out and relax in our little home in the port town. There are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps as it is an older home.We would appreciate it if you could take care of small children and those with bad feet. Frying pans, pots, knives, cutting boards, chopsticks, forks, spoons Plates, tea bowls, cups, mugs, kitchen scissors, bottle opener Appliance items: fridge, washing machine, hair dryer, Kettle, toaster, microwave, rice cooker * Because it is eco-friendly, we do not have disposable toothbrushes or shaving.Please buy it at the nearby convenience store if you need it or bring it with you. * There is no TV.There are a few books and there is internet, so please enjoy your time slowly.

It takes 3 hours from Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara. You can see a totally different aspect of the city side of Japan. Green mountains, clear river, Firefly, many stars, rice field, Vegetable field. The house is a beautiful nature. And also we have good neighbors. You will see the real Japanese countryside that is not written in the guidebook. The room is surrounded by my father's and my artworks. The huge kitchen, living room, and garden are yours. Please enjoy and relax in the cozy house.

Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. It is conveniently located about 15mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass, Onigawara (Japanese gargoyle roof tiles), and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns. The building consists of 2 villas, King Villa & Queen Villa. As a measure against infectious diseases, we accept one group for each building.

The entire second floor of the house is available for one group. The host is on the ground floor, but the stairs are external and the entrance is separate. The sound doesn't resonate. It’s located in a village called Karato Oka. You’ll find the Teshima Museum and rice terraces within a short walking. The guesthouse is a Japanese wooden house with only one room, so you can use privately. The room on the second floor has a slightly lower ceiling, giving it a cozy cabin or tea room feel. From the window, you can see old houses, mountains, and persimmon trees, with the morning light streaming in. Experience an extraordinary space and time.

Welcome to Wasyugama, a traditional Bizen pottery kiln guesthouse in the peaceful hills near Kurashiki, Okayama. Stay beside an active pottery workshop and experience the quiet charm of rural Japan.
