Period Family House in Beautiful Forest Village

SteveRating, 5 stars44 months ago
We really enjoyed staying in Mark’s house. It’s nicely decorated and very well equipped. Mark is a great host and was very helpful when it came to local recommendations. While Mark was only a phone call away, we were left to our own devices and didn’t see anyone during our stay, with the exception of Billy, the house cat (who the kids loved and is very docile). Blaisdon is lovely and peaceful and I imagine the lack of light pollution would make for great stargazing when the weather is clear. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The Retreat, Longhope

SueRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The Retreat is the perfect name for this beautiful house. It is unique and surrounded by beautiful countryside. However, it does have wonderful added home comforts, it is warm and cosy (unfortunately the British weather wasn't shining in our favour!), the shower is excellent and has the added bonus of a hot tub. The house is located just a short drive from The Forest of Dean which has an abundance of stunning walks, but also just a 20 minute drive to the city of Gloucester, which is great for shopping, eating and entertainment, we had our first game of Paddle! We discovered the cafe at Hart Craft Centre and it is well worth a visit, if you are feeling crafty, you can paint pottery there too or visit the cute craft shops! It was the perfect stay and very comfortable for our family holiday, such wonderful memories made! Thank you

Rural riverside cottage on the banks of the Severn

AmalieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an exceptional stay. The place lived up to all expectations and then some. Florence and her family were warm, welcoming, and full of great recommendations (among others the restaurant "Post"). Check-in and check-out were incredibly flexible, which made everything feel relaxed from the moment we arrived! A lovely surprise awaited us when we walked in. There was fresh bread, eggs, butter, jam, and even local cider. Such a thoughtful and generous touch that really made us feel at home! The surroundings were absolutely stunning. Even though the hosts live behind the Airbnb and there's another rental next door, it felt so private and peaceful, yet with a comforting sense of community. We especially loved cozying up by the fireplace in the evenings. A PRACTIAL TIP: the road to the house has quite a few potholes, so it’s best to come in a car that’s not too low to the ground. All in all, it was a magical getaway. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Severn valley views from Mayhill

Booked Peter's shepherd's hut for a couple of nights away for my husband's birthday. We had a fantastic stay - best weekend away we've had I would say! The hut was immaculate and had everything we needed, Peter had thought of everything. Even had a lovely hamper on arrival, with a hand written welcome note. Peter had heated the hot tub ready for our arrival. Hot tub was super clean and had a lovely view. We used the fire pit to cook burgers on the first night and steak on the second night. We ate whilst looking out at the most spectacular views! Honestly cannot fault a thing about it. Thank you so much Peter, a truly wonderful time had :)

Luxury Countryside Apartment

RebekahRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had an absolutely phenomenal stay. The location was fantastic - peaceful, scenic, and a great base for exploring the area. The house was beautiful, spacious, and perfectly suited for our group of seven, with plenty of room for everyone to relax. The host was brilliant from start to finish. Easy to contact right from the point of booking. Instructions for finding the property were very clear, and they provided thoughtful local recommendations and some lovely insights into the property’s history. Communication was easy, and it was clear they genuinely cared about our stay. They kindly offered the use of a cot for the baby in our group, which was much appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful, comfortable stay in a fantastic home. I’d love to visit again and highly recommend it to others.

We truly had an amazing stay and Ella's home is beyond stunning, thanks for making it so homely. Their recommendations were spot on too, we went to the Woolpack and the Painswick Hotel, both lovely places. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family and we hope to come back one day!
