Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bohinjska Bistrica

We had a fantastic stay in Podbrdo. Marija and her family were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home. The Airbnb really is a home away from home. It is very spacious and well equipped. It is quiet and a good place to relax and recharge while surrounded by nature.

Alenka was one of the nicest hostesses we have ever had. She went to great lenghts to make us feel comfortable. It felt like a miracle when she had the broken dishwasher relaced within hours. The village is very nice and not touristy and we loved the hikes for every degree of difficulty from the doorstep. Great Place to stay and very much recommended, also because of the greatly equipped kitchen (Even a tramezzino maker)!

Roman and Milena were very gracious and frendly hosts. They had special treats when we arrived and were very informative about the local hikes and restaurants. The location is just magical. So peaceful and beautiful! The cottage is well equipped and spotless! There are even slippers available for guest use! Very thoughtful. We hope to come back sometime for a longer stay. We have stayed in many fantastic Airbnb’s but none of them come close to this apartment! The pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful view of Lake Bled and surrounding mountains and very close proximity to the lake and train station.

I received a very warm welcome and felt comfortable right away. The room is beautifully decorated, with solid wood furniture that creates a warm and aesthetic atmosphere. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything I needed. The location in the quiet village and the cozy terrace are perfect for relaxing. The host also recommended a wonderful hiking route to Mount Matajur, which was a real highlight. I would love to come back anytime!

Der Aufenthalt bei Nina und ihrer Familie war ein Traum: eine wunderschöne Wohnung in einer wunderschönen Umgebung mit super freundlichen Gastgebern. Einfach toll! Die Wohnung ist ganz toll eingerichtet, mit viel Herzblut und Idee - man merkt, dass sich hier jemand wirklich viel Mühe gegeben hat. Ein klitzekleiner Tipp: Warmen Pulli mitnehmen - die dicken, alten Wände halten die Kälte im Sommer ganz ordentlich. Die Wohnung ist ein schöne Ausgangspunkt für alle möglichen Unternehmungen, wir waren vom Wasserfall sehr beeindruckt. Nina und ihr Mann haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und sich wirklich fürsorglich um uns gekümmert: Vielen Dank!!

Pretty Jolie was the perfect getaway! The apartment was beautiful and cozy- I especially loved the activities room which had a guest book for us to write notes in addition to games and books. The location of the apartment was very convenient as it was a less than ten minute walk from the supermarket and three minute walk to the lake- I would definitely stay recommend this listing. As a plus point- the kitchen had spices and oil which made cooking significantly easier!

Metka has been a wonderful and kind host in greeting us, making recommendations on places to go and great walks around, anticipating our demands. She has always been responsive in our communications, before and during our stay. The house is very well equipped because it has been lived in by generations, with a soul. Super clean. The location is perfect if one looks for quietness, close enough to the beauties of the lakes but without the crowds and the traffic. It is in a living village with active farming around but no shops or cafés within walking distance. The views on the mountains are stunning (get up early to catch the sunrise !). We can see the road but it is ok. Having a car is a must but 3 bicycles in very good condition are available. We were 4 adults and the house felt very comfortable and at ease. It only has one shower room downstairs (but 1 toilet on each floor) but we managed. My wife enjoyed the piano too ! Lovely time, fond memories. Viva Slovenia !

what a peaceful retreat in Slovenia! Very close to Bled and Bohinj. We felt like locals. The house was great. The kids enjoyed playing with the dogs and alpacas. Highly recommend.

Wir konnten in dem Chalet am Vogel eine wundervolle Urlaubswoche verbringen und haben die Tage in friedvoller Natur sehr genossen. Das Chalet ist einzigartig gelegen, sehr sauber, gemütlich und super eingerichtet. Die weite Aussicht, die blühenden Wiesen im Frühsommer und die wohltuende Ruhe auf dem Berg sind einfach fantastisch! Alles in allem, ein unvergesslicher Urlaub in den Bergen Sloweniens! Wer die Abgeschiedenheit in freier Natur liebt, ist hier genau richtig! Vielen, vielen Dank liebe Irina & lieber Tomaz !!! Séjour parfait. Que du bonheur de loger chez Tina. calme, repos, vue imprenable sur les montagnes, propreté irréprochable, tout est pensé pour le bien être des hôtes. Un peu éloigné pour faire quelques courses, il faut juste être un peu plus prévoyants que nous pour le premier repas 🫢 Nous recommandons vivement. Avec la chaleur, le chalet est frais et on dort très bien. Nous avons pu profiter des alentours, gorges de Vintgar, téléphérique jusqu'au montagnes Vogel, lac de Bred et lac Bohinj.****

My stay at Lan’s place was very pleasant. Everything was very clean and it had all the necessities. It is located around 500 m from Krizanke, Tromostovje or Ljubljana castle so it is a perfect place for exploring the center of Ljubljana on foot.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in traumhafter, malerischer Umgebung. Frančiška war eine ganz tolle Gastgeberin und wir haben uns jederzeit sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch das unsere zwei Hunde Willkommen waren, war ein großer Pluspunkt. Wir würden die Gegend sowie die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder besuchen.

Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful, close to everything we wanted in Bohinj. The apartment is quiet and superbly clean with a small patio to sit outside and enjoy the sunrise just steps from the river. Would recommend and would stay here again!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft abseits des Trubels von Bled allerdings in unmittelbarer Nähe (Bled ist sogar fußläufig erreichbar) Saŝo und Darja haben das Apartment fantastisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet - es war wirklich alles vorhanden. Besonders hilfreich war auch eine ansprechende Sammlung von nützlichen Infos zur Gegend und zu Aktivitäten. Vielen Dank und bis bald!

We zijn een paar dagen in de studio verbleven en het was echt super! We werden heel netjes ontvangen met tips over de omgeving. Er was genoeg ruimte om lekker buiten te zitten op 3 verschillende plekken en er waren ook nog fietsen die we mochten gebruiken. De studio was netjes en schoon. Als er iets was konden we zo naar Jaka toelopen en werd alles netjes uitgelegd of verholpen! Deze studio is zeker aan te raden!

Beautiful location and excellent stay. Very clean. Easy checkin process. Free parking. We got there prior to checkin to bike in the morning and Miha let us use her parking space which was very kind. Electricity went out when we first got there and she fixed within 10 mins. Very fast WIFI. The A/C was incredible for the hot summer months and worked well. Place was spotless. Right next to the main paved biking trails. To get to restaurants it is a couple km’s away. About 900m from a great swimming location on the lake! I would definitely recommend staying here without hesitation!

We had a great stay the apartment was spotless. Very close to the shops and a short stroll from the lake. Check-in is 4pm and check out 10am, these times could be more flexible. Also the walls are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbours. Our host gave us plenty of helpful recommendations for places to eat and things to do.

We loved our stay at Marusa’s beautiful home. The ideal location for travelling around the Slovenia. Quick drive to Bled, Lake Bohinj and the surrounding areas. 10 minute walk into the beautiful town of Radovljica. Marusa and her family were lovely hosts, very responsive to our messages and made us feel at home. Apartment was very clean and functional. Would recommend to anyone travelling around Slovenia.

Thanks Goran we had a perfect stay at your apartment. Walking distance to the Rowing event on the lake which meant we could come back for a rest between races. Goran is an excellent host,showed us round, encouraged us to eat the produce in his garden and was very helpful. If you are a rower and in Bled for the World Masters Regatta next year snap this place up. Even the occasional train rumbling past gave the place a certain charm

We stayed here for just one night, but everything was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Even though our stay was short, we felt very welcomed and at home. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

This place exceeded all our expectations. It was absolutely spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept so well every night. The outdoor area and garden were peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful views, making it the perfect place to relax. The location is ideal: just 10 minutes from Lake Bled, 20 minutes from Lake Bohinj, and 25 minutes from Triglav National Park. It’s a great base for exploring the natural beauty of the region. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Marija. She was warm, welcoming, and made us feel completely at home. She went above and beyond—offering tips, personalized itineraries, and tons of local insight. Her kindness and hospitality made our trip so much better than we ever imagined. Highly, highly recommend this gem—we can’t wait to come back!

Super lækker og tjekket lejlighed, men god placering 5 minutters gang fra centrum. Det eneste vi manglede var en emhætte, ellers var der bare super.

We had a wonderful stay at Tom’s place. It was so charming and cozy. I loved the design and thoughtful elements put in to making it functional but pretty. I always love a place with history and Tom was not shy about sharing so much interesting background about is space and the area in general. He was close by if we needed, but never in a way that felt hover-y. Tom was so friendly and welcoming. The stairs were not overwhelming but offered a little bit of exercise to burn off a few calories leaving more room for dumplings. Tom is a fountain of knowledge about all things… take his food recommendations! The beds were comfortable and set up was exactly the space we needed. Also… as a fellow lover of plants, I was in heaven. It’s a drive to get to the city center but not too far. We hope to return someday soon. Slovenia is lovely and the people are wonderful.
