Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bohinjska Bistrica

We loved our stay! The property at the end of Lake Bohinj is lovely, with a beautiful creek flowing behind it and is close to the lake and many hiking trails. The property is big and very well kept. My family had fun playing games on the large grassy area with a volleyball net. The cabin is new, clean and cozy with nice bedding and well stocked kitchen and linens. We made 3 dinners and found everything we needed for food prep. If you're going to cook, you may want to pick up groceries before arriving in the area as the local markets have somewhat limited options. Amenities in the cabin were perfect! We watched movies, took saunas and lit fires in the fireplace - wood and kindling provided in cabin. Washer/dryer worked great and it was nice to do some laundry before moving on to our next destination. Jaka is very responsive. He communicates well and proactively using the AirBnB app.

We had a fantastic stay in Podbrdo. Marija and her family were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home. The Airbnb really is a home away from home. It is very spacious and well equipped. It is quiet and a good place to relax and recharge while surrounded by nature.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful house during Christmas! The setting by the Radovna River was like something out of a holiday postcard, with serene views and a peaceful atmosphere. The house itself was warm (really, it was pre-heated right before our arrival), cozy, and equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We decorated the house ourselves for Christmas, and it added such a personal touch to the already lovely space. Spending time by the fireplace and enjoying the cozy atmosphere made our holiday truly special. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare our Christmas meals. Slovenia Estates team (special thanks to Beverley and Helena) was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Celebrating Christmas here was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy getaway. We’d love to return in the future!

Alenka was one of the nicest hostesses we have ever had. She went to great lenghts to make us feel comfortable. It felt like a miracle when she had the broken dishwasher relaced within hours. The village is very nice and not touristy and we loved the hikes for every degree of difficulty from the doorstep. Great Place to stay and very much recommended, also because of the greatly equipped kitchen (Even a tramezzino maker)!

We loved our stay at Nataša’s, it’s bigger and nicer than it looks in the photos. We rented the ground level of the house - looks like there is also a basement and upper level with separate entrances available to stay. Host was always responsive and helpful, house was spotlessly clean, and amenities provided were above and beyond. We hope to be back!

Roman and Milena were very gracious and frendly hosts. They had special treats when we arrived and were very informative about the local hikes and restaurants. The location is just magical. So peaceful and beautiful! The cottage is well equipped and spotless! There are even slippers available for guest use! Very thoughtful. We hope to come back sometime for a longer stay. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house near Lake Bled. The host met us upon arrival, gave us a warm welcome, and shared recommendations for exploring the area. We also rented electric bikes from him, which was a great way to discover the surroundings. The house itself was very comfortable and well‑equipped — we especially enjoyed the grill, which was a nice addition for making dinner. The host also organized a rafting trip for us, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. All in all, this was the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We would love to return!

Metka has been a wonderful and kind host in greeting us, making recommendations on places to go and great walks around, anticipating our demands. She has always been responsive in our communications, before and during our stay. The house is very well equipped because it has been lived in by generations, with a soul. Super clean. The location is perfect if one looks for quietness, close enough to the beauties of the lakes but without the crowds and the traffic. It is in a living village with active farming around but no shops or cafés within walking distance. The views on the mountains are stunning (get up early to catch the sunrise !). We can see the road but it is ok. Having a car is a must but 3 bicycles in very good condition are available. We were 4 adults and the house felt very comfortable and at ease. It only has one shower room downstairs (but 1 toilet on each floor) but we managed. My wife enjoyed the piano too ! Lovely time, fond memories. Viva Slovenia !

Amazing experience staying at Lucija place. She offered us cheese and butter that she is producing as a welcome gift. She gave us some useful tips about the hikings to do in the area. The apartment is in a farm which is a memorable experience. We loved this Airbnb !!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Erika's beautiful apartment. It is situated in a very walkable location, close to everything you could possibly need. The apartment itself is wonderfully appointed and is a lovely retreat to return too, at the end of each day. If we ever return to Lake Bled we would definitely love to stay again. what a peaceful retreat in Slovenia! Very close to Bled and Bohinj. We felt like locals. The house was great. The kids enjoyed playing with the dogs and alpacas. Highly recommend.

The apartment is very cozy, clean and equipped with everything you need. You have to like the location, right at the roundabout and next to a church. But the windows are very tight, so you can hardly hear anything when they are closed. Dunja herself is very nice, friendly and always strives for the well-being of the guests. You can end the day comfortably in the restaurant or on the terrace. Very good value for money in the restaurant and for the apartment. We had a great week and will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing place, with mountain view, quiet place, beautiful apartment, everything clean. I was attracted by a beautiful scent as I entered the apartment. I loved the smell of sheets and towels. I could smell my hair all day. Just caring like in a cotton ball. Delightful surroundings, lots of options for places to go. We were very satisfied, thank you very much for everything.

We had a fantastic time at Silva’s beautiful apartment. Silva was very friendly and considerate, she responded fast and gave a warm welcome with good recommendations. The apartment is great, it was spotless clean, very well kept and well equipped. The parking spot in the garage is also a plus. We would always come back and can only Recommend Silva and her nice apartment.

Leonida & Albert (& their lovely dog) were amazing hosts! Their place is so beautiful and quiet. We had the most magical stay, the location is peaceful, secluded yet close to town and a 10 minute walk to a great pizza place. Leonida provides bikes to cycle to the lake and surroundings. We drank coffee on the sunrise balcony and a beer on the evening balcony (spoilt for choice!). All in all one of our favourite ever Airbnb stays! We will 100% be returning!

We had such a nice time! Felt like home! Apartment was very clean & we had everything we needed! We also loved the yard & sitting outside (stunning views while drinking morning coffee)! Definitely would recommend staying there! Such a peaceful location and so close to Bled!

Jan is such a responsive and generous host. this amazing apartment had every possible amenity and then some. he has thought of everything and even provided fridge drinks and outlet plug adapters for out of country guests. this location might be one of the best we have had in all of or travels. beautifully updated apartment as well.

Beautiful location and excellent stay. Very clean. Easy checkin process. Free parking. We got there prior to checkin to bike in the morning and Miha let us use her parking space which was very kind. Electricity went out when we first got there and she fixed within 10 mins. Very fast WIFI. The A/C was incredible for the hot summer months and worked well. Place was spotless. Right next to the main paved biking trails. To get to restaurants it is a couple km’s away. About 900m from a great swimming location on the lake! I would definitely recommend staying here without hesitation!

We loved our stay at Marusa’s beautiful home. The ideal location for travelling around the Slovenia. Quick drive to Bled, Lake Bohinj and the surrounding areas. 10 minute walk into the beautiful town of Radovljica. Marusa and her family were lovely hosts, very responsive to our messages and made us feel at home. Apartment was very clean and functional. Would recommend to anyone travelling around Slovenia.

Thanks Goran we had a perfect stay at your apartment. Walking distance to the Rowing event on the lake which meant we could come back for a rest between races. Goran is an excellent host,showed us round, encouraged us to eat the produce in his garden and was very helpful. If you are a rower and in Bled for the World Masters Regatta next year snap this place up. Even the occasional train rumbling past gave the place a certain charm

We stayed here for just one night, but everything was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Even though our stay was short, we felt very welcomed and at home. This place exceeded all our expectations. It was absolutely spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept so well every night. The outdoor area and garden were peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful views, making it the perfect place to relax. The location is ideal: just 10 minutes from Lake Bled, 20 minutes from Lake Bohinj, and 25 minutes from Triglav National Park. It’s a great base for exploring the natural beauty of the region. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Marija. She was warm, welcoming, and made us feel completely at home. She went above and beyond—offering tips, personalized itineraries, and tons of local insight. Her kindness and hospitality made our trip so much better than we ever imagined. Highly, highly recommend this gem—we can’t wait to come back!

A beautiful clean apartment for two people in a very quiet location close to the lake, bus stop/station and all the attractions. Great to have the little extras which made the stay so easy such as a dishwasher, clothes airer, coffee machine and microwave. Also things such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and plenty of toilet roll! The bedding and towels were immaculate and the bed very comfortable. The apartment is totally quiet at night just up the main street from the lake, but close to great restaurants, supermarkets and a great bakery. Go right on the main road, then left for the bigger supermarkets. We had such a lovely and very comfortable stay. Thank you to our hosts for the beer and apple juice left in the fridge ready for our arrival. Very welcomed after a long journey. We really couldn't fault this accommodation! Perfect!
