Our quaint house sleeps 6, with the option of 2 king single beds in our upstairs loft or a Super King sized bed options. Please advise for your stay. Ducted heating and cooling for all seasons. Our home is a 5 minute walk to our main shopping area and a quick stroll to the Tumut Brewery for their boutique beers and a bite to eat.

Yes we have a camel ( but only one now 😞 ) My B&B is in the beautiful Goobarragandra Valley 12 kilometres from Tumut. I am ideally located at the northern end of the Snowy Mountains to explore and enjoy all the region has to offer. Our immediate surrounds offer fantastic views, great bird watching and fishing. We are able to accommodate 2 adults and a small child under 2 years of age only. If your child is older then 2 please contact us first as we have a portacot only.

The location was beautiful. We wished we could have stayed longer. Anyone with mobility issues (I have a bad knee) be aware of 2 steps from lounge to hall and kitchen when constantly moving around the lovely large home. The super comfortable king bed was divine after a long day of travel.

My husband, Goldie and I stayed at Lulu’s place over June long weekend for our babymoon. Lulu’s place was just as described and matched the photos. It was private and SO relaxing. Incredibly clean too. Our Goldie absolutely loved it with the different animals and all the space to explore. She hadn’t been exposed to farm animals before so was a bit hypo/doing zoomies but the animals were SO good and not spooked or reactive which I was grateful for. Lulu was responsive and nothing was a bother. We were lucky enough on our last morning to wake up to a blanket of snow which was magical. Would absolutely recommend for your getaway. We already want to re-book!

Photos don’t do this place justice!! We had the most amazing stay at platypus cottage. The facilities were perfect, very clean and good amount of cooking/ dining equipment. The location was amazing right on the river with privacy and lots of spots to go for a swim. We would highly recommend platypus cottage and are all already talking about when we can come back! This stay was incredible! I sincerely didn’t want to leave. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Made sure I had plenty of blankets and would be warm enough with the winter weather. Had everything stocked and even brought me milk for my tea. Offered firewood so I could do a fire pit if I wanted and gave me directions to walk over to the cafe. The little house was so cozy and had the most stunning views. I watched the kangaroos hopping along the track during sunset, fell asleep watching shooting stars and woke up with the sunrise. I brought my cat and she loved it too! I would easily stay again.

We really enjoyed staying at Bridget’s house. The house is in a quiet and peaceful spot, only a quick trip down the hill to get everything we needed in town. The rooms were generously sized, giving plenty of space for the whole family - grandparents and kids included. The house was lovely and clean with thoughtful touches throughout. It was a great base for a relaxing family holiday. Would happily stay again!
