Another fantastic Spring Break at the Best Box! The nicest, cleanest, most relaxing rental we’ve ever found. Didn’t think the property could be any better than it was last year, but the owners have managed to make many creative and thoughtful upgrades. Enjoyed days at the beach, days on the sound, chartered a boat for fishing, ate tons of seafood, and saw the best sunsets right from the deck. Literally took advantage of everything in this house - from crabbing to fishing to baggo to flying kites to playing board games to darts and foosball. Oh and kayaking, relaxing in the hammock, and tubing, too.

We had the most picturesque stay here! It was a dream to be able to wake up to the morning sunrise over the ocean as well as have all of the kiddos run out to the beach (aka backyard) and be able to watch from the porch. The house was the dreamiest home away from home. We would love to come back and stay again!

Dare Dream was just as pictured on the photos. The kitchen was amazing and incredibly well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The proximity to the beach was perfect for us and just what we were looking for.

this is our fourth stay at Pelican Point and we absolutely love being here. It's a unique property with character, natural beauty, outstanding sunsets and easy access to the ocean. Every night we went out for silent sunset viewings from the bungalow porch or the dock and enjoyed the evening bird life flying overhead, the calls, and the beautiful clouds and colors as the sun sunk into the Pamlico Sound . The spacious kitchen had everything we needed and we had many wonderful meals. Beds are comfy, and loved being able to spread out between two residences. The pool and hottub were great options since it was a bit cold for swimming in early May. Communication with Dawn was quick and seamless if you had a questions for her! A plus vacation rental all around!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was amazing, had lots of kitchen supplies, fun games, beach accessories, and the beds were SO comfortable! You also can’t beat the location to the beach and grocery store. We would definitely stay again.

This house was very nice. The neighborhood is beautiful and it was centrally located to all the things we wanted to see in OBX. We liked having comfy beds for everyone and covered parking. Goldie was very communicative. It would be nice to have shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms (no one else in my family brought any 😂) and access to beach chairs and sand toys would be a helpful addition since it’s so close to the shore. Thank you for your hospitality.

Enjoyed our stay. Loved that we could utilize the community pool since the beach had red flags during our entire stay. The beach access private parking was also a plus. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Lots of space for family meals at the dinning room table.

This was our first trip to Ocracoke and it exceeded our expectations! The Grey Pearl was so clean and conveniently located, with a fantastic screened porch—we couldn’t have asked for nicer! Jennifer made communication easy and we had everything we needed at the cottage. It was well cared for and lovingly furnished. We’re looking forward to visiting again!

This place was great. It was just a 2 minute walk to the private beach access which was never super full. The BNB was big enough for my whole family and my dog! Washer and dryers are always nice to have when staying away from home! It was a quiet neighborhood, but stay off the lady next door’s grass. There were a few restaurants to walk to and stores, not to mention a neat little tackle shop with iced coffee!! Our car actually broke down while staying here, so the walkable things were very convenient. She even let us check in 5 hours early because I got check in time wrong. I would love to stay again!

The name speaks true! It really is a beautiful hidden gem in Avon. From its ideal location to everything, to all the amenities the host provide. This location has been the best I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. It made my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and our friends loved it! David & Misty are truly wonderful hosts. Thank you again! 😊

Mary Ellen and Jim’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay on the island. It was quaint, clean, and overall lovely. The outdoor shower was amazing and exactly what you need after a long day at the beach. On top of that the AC is top notch, even on the hottest day we knew we could come back to a cool space to relax and unwind. The location is central to all the great spots on the island, just a short golf cart ride! Mary Ellen and Jim were very accommodating in providing us with everything we needed from golf cart chargers to bikes and ocean kayaks. Also, the handwritten note welcoming us to the space and to the island was a really nice touch, making us feel right at home . We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Christine was great to work with. This was our fourth year renting this place and we love it! The place ir perfect and even has a boat dock for keeping the boat! We'll be back!

This is a beautifully appointed home that is tucked away for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The house was perfect for our family and our fur-baby. The thoughtful touches, quality bedding and linens, as well as the hosts responsiveness made this trip extraordinary. We also appreciated the included pool passes and the recommendations given for the most accessible beach areas. We really hope to come back soon!

Crabby Pad was beautiful. We kept the windows open and enjoyed the breeze. We fished off the dock at night, caught a blue crab. Little tricky to find but once you do it's a beautiful little place. Will definitely visit again!

We had a very pleasant stay at Amy’s home nestled in a very quiet and serene sound side neighborhood. We found Just Enough to be more than enough for 2 and a dog! Loved the screened porch and spent almost every evening out there just relaxing and watching the storms on rain days. We were a very short drive to some really great restaurants- loved the sandwiches from Pamlico Deli and steamed shrimp from Tavern 12! Great nearby coffee shops, gift shops, and bakeries (get an Apple Ugly from Orange Blossom!). The jeep rental spot is one road over so that was convenient for our beach off-roading day. For one first time visitor (2 if you count the dog), and one returning to OBX after many years, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay down in Frisco at Just Enough. Highly recommend this rental and we would absolutely return on a future visit to the Outer Banks. Thank you for everything!

We had a great stay at Out of the Blue. Margot was so responsive and helpful. Perfect location to get to/from beach easily and close to grocery, restaurants. Comfortable home. Would definitely return!

100% worth it! Julyan was a great host, he made sure to send all the information and instructions prior to our trip and was super kind by letting us check in early. House is just what you need if you’re going down to Buxton for a few days, you can bathe at the shore which is a 2 minute walk from this home, you have a lot of cool spots around, we took the ferry to Ocracoke island which is nice for a day trip, and went to Frisco Beach, super family friendly and great wind for kites, also if you’re fan of collecting sea shells they are everywhere, perfect getaway for your family, I recommend this home and would definitely be coming back, perfect size for a family of 4-6.

The Blue Umbrella is an awesome option for anyone traveling dual/solo. It’s a quiet location that is a very easy walk to both the beach and a number of local restaurants. Steve and Diane were very responsive and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here.

A really great stay for the money! A lot of things very close by like beach access, light houses, restraunts etc. Also the star gazing near Buxton Woods area was beautiful!! Do not miss out on it, we could see thousands of stars and it was only a five minute drive from the house. Hosts were very friendly and gave a great recommendation to eat at a local place called Angelos which was again only a few minutes from the house. Highly recommend!

Perfect little place in Salvo! We had a great time and couldn’t happier about our experience at this cozy spot. Looking forward to booking again.
