Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Calaveras County

Excellent stay in a clean, well-equipped home We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—the place was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One minor quibble: the coffee maker was tiny and could only brew two cups at a time, which was a bit inconvenient for our group. The location is fantastic—just about an hour’s drive to Yosemite National Park, making it an ideal base for exploring. The community was undergoing construction, and some roads were closed during our visit. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to enter and pay the $50 entrance fee, which was frustrating. It’s worth asking the host for an update on access or checking ahead before booking.

I spent a couple nights here with my family. During our stay, we found the peace and relaxation we were all so eagerly looking for. The house is beautiful and full of amenities that really make you feel like you're at home. The location is very convenient, with it being only 5 minutes away from the local grocery store and a short drive from several camping/swimming/fishing locations. My family and I will definitely be staying here again.

The house was perfect for our group of 5 that included two kids. Pictures are an accurate representation of the space. Everything was clean an comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The back deck was great with views of the golf course. My kids loved watching the deer and wild turkey's walk by. We even saw a small fox one day. The lake is only a 5 minute walk down the road, with a great little swimming beach. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A very cute little house with comfortable beds. It was perfect for the four of us. It was nice not to worry about driving anywhere. Close to taste restaurant, the pokerville market, and the fairgrounds for the event. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at Yvette's place! The house was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Yvette was also a fantastic host, always quick to respond and accommodating. We would definitely recommend their place and stay again.

Great location. Short walk to Main Street and downtown Murphy's. Nice area and the house was very nice and clean and just as described.

Very comfortable and quiet property. We booked this property giving Kevin and Teresa only an hour’s notice. They were very pleasant and made sure everything was set for us. Kevin met us and showed us around. The apartment was very warm and cozy. We would highly recommend!!

Very affordable place to stay compared to other bnbs nearby. Not a “cabin” but still had the homey cabin feel. Kitchen and fridge were stocked a little bit. Grocery store nearby. Very easy and flexible check in. Laurie who takes care of the rental for Robert was very nice and friendly and helpful. If you have kids there is a little selection of toys and also a little selection of dvds. Walking distance to the golf course across the street. Overall a very good experience. Would 100% stay there again.

This is a lovely space, very roomy, clean and convenient. The view from the kitchen is beautiful and it is a peaceful and relaxing place to unwind after a day of outdoor adventures. I booked it to explore Yosemite, which is about an hour and 15min or so to the entrance. It’s a beautiful drive, and there is also so much to explore in Sonora, Columbia, and Jamestown. The Gold Rush history of this area is fascinating to me, and this is a perfect basecamp for nature hikes and historical sightseeing. Michele is super helpful, responsive, and gave me excellent suggestions of things to do and even an ideal itinerary for my four days there. Highly recommend.

Raman responded very quickly. The place was exactly as described. It was clean. And after a tiring day of travel was the right place to rest. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. Had a great sleep. My boys loved it too.

Can’t say enough about our weekend stay at Shaun and Holly’s! They are fabulous hosts and made sure we had everything necessary for a relaxing, fun time. They even had special treats awaiting us since it was our anniversary. Over the top in every way! We will most definitely go back to this little piece of heaven in Sutter Creek!

This little house was perfect! I stayed here for the weekend because my Daughter was getting married close by. It was the perfect place to get some much needed rest after spending a couple of long days getting everything ready. Melissa was great at communicating and gave clear info on checking in and out. Definitely would stay here again!

We had a lovely time at the cabin. S’mores were a nice touch for around the fire pit and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. Loft area was great for the family. Convenient to Yosemite. Wish we had more time to explore the lake!

Beautiful cabin decor throughout. The lower level theater room was really fun. Pet friendly and really nice views off the back deck. Thank you for a really nice stay, we want to come back in the Winter.

The house was great and I'd recommend it to people looking for a jumping off point for Yosemite. Super comfy beds, great deck, enjoyable hot tub, beautiful location. Lots to love and we had a great time. A note for potential guests: The community (the Pine Mountain Lake Association) that the house is located within is currently experiencing heavy road work from 4/30/25-7/2/25. We had to wait 20+ mins to get into the neighborhood each time we came back, which was annoying to say the least. Not the fault of the airbnb host, but just FYI on expectations.

We loved staying at Sharon’s cabin! What a beautiful location. And the private lake and playground next to it was a lovely place to relax. The cabin was also perfect for our little ones, complete with indoor toys and swings and a slide in the backyard. It was just as described and Sharon was super responsive and helpful. We’ve already talked about going back!

We stayed at Veronica's beautiful home for a 3-day trip to Yosemite and it was the perfect home base. The home was beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless - the cleanest Airbnb I've ever stayed at! The kitchen is also incredibly well supplied and perfect for making group meals. I can't wait to be back!

Easy check-in & check-out instructions. Close to shopping, White Pines Lake, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Bear Valley & Lake Alpine. Camp Connell General Store was a fun place to get afternoon ice cream. Cozy and comfortable, exceeded the photos, instantly respectfully felt at home. Loved the no shoes rule. The kitchen was enjoyable to cook in, beautiful butcher block counter top, everything you need to get meals done, and the refrigerator is plenty roomy, well kept and clean. Extra large kennel for use. Large fenced yard for ourselves & doggies to enjoy! Cute patio set to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast in the beautiful alpine setting. Safe and secure neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Blissfully pleasant stay, felt relaxed and rejuvenated upon our return home. Big Trees Village Pass was a bonus! I stayed at Brad’s cabin for a weekend escape and it was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless, well-stocked, and even more beautiful than the pictures. The views from the deck were stunning, Brad was quick to respond to any questions and left thoughtful touches like local coffee and a welcome note. It was the peaceful retreat I needed—highly recommend and would love to return!

We enjoyed Mona’s cabin. The kids loved the playground and the games. They also enjoyed the basketball hoop in the front. The patio/deck was relaxing and a nice place to hangout in for a bonfire. It is close to a lake so we were able to take a little day trip to Pinecrest lake. The cabin was beautiful and Mona was friendly and responded quickly to any messages. Would definitely be back.
