Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cambridge

Beth was super helpful. Home was lovely, full of historic charm and unique artwork. Bed was suuuper comfortable. Neighborhood was walkable, close to public transit, restaurants, favorite museums, etc. Thanks!

I stayed with Shine for the weekend for a music festival and it was the perfect place- close to public transportation and cozy and comfortable. Shine was very responsive and answered any questions I had very quickly. She was also very kind, though I only got to meet her briefly since I was mostly out and about in Boston. I’d absolutely stay with Shine again.

Clean, cozy, and comfortable. Daily cleaning was a nice touch. Quiet East Boston neighborhood with quick access to the T and buses. Hosts were attentive. Felt a bit like a hostel with other rooms in the house, but everything was peaceful and well-kept. Great stay!

Absolutely loved our stay at Laura’s airbnb! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting the Boston area. Even before we arrived, Laura’s instructions were clear and super helpful, making check in easy. The room itself was private, clean, and very comfortable. What really set this airbnb apart were the thoughtful personal touches. There was a mini fridge in the closet fully stocked with sweet treats, drinks, and even robes. They provided a computer for watching shows and a record player to enjoy some music, which made the space feel extra special. In the morning, we found cereal bowls, blueberries, and cups of water set out for breakfast - so simple, sweet, and so considerate. It’s also worth mentioning that the space is LGBTQ+ friendly, which was important to us. My partner and I both had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back! :)

Anne’s apartment is the perfect place to stay in Cambridge. It is spacious, lovely, and convenient to everything. Anne was a wonderful host and made our stay so easy. We hope to return!

Pema and Jonathan are wonderful hosts. This was our second stay at The Nest and we were able to really take advantage of the deck overlooking their beautiful garden and the city beyond, for morning coffee and afternoon snacks. Their place is very spacious and charming. It's walking distance to stores, restaurants and the Gilman Square T-stop. For trips further afield, it's great to have a designated, off-street parking spot right by the entrance to the unit, with motion sensor lights for nighttime arrivals. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bed is very comfortable, with reading lights on both sides of the bed. Highly recommend.

We had a great time here as a mother-daughter duo. The location is perfect for exploring without a car, with great restaurants, coffee, and a train stop within a quick walk. Our hosts were very gracious and kind, and we were very comfortable: comfortable bed, lots of room to unpack, a desk for writing, and a newly-remodeled private bathroom. Recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at the home, which made our trip for my daughter’s graduation a wonderful event. The owners were very responsive and the home was very clean. Highly recommend!

I came to attend Harvard’s graduation and we had a great stay at Melanie’s place! It was clean and comfortably fit myself and my mom and sister. We would book again in the future!

Really nice spot. It was easy to travel with a kid/family. Especially liked the coffee, milk, and local guidebooks with family ideas. Loved how walkable everything was, it was a totally car-free trip.

Highly recommend! There is plenty of space, parking was easy, the beds were comfortable, great location to explore Cambridge and Boston, and very responsive and friendly hosts. We traveled with our baby and they set out a pack and play and toys for him too, which was so kind!

This was a wonderful place to stay—so close to subway, bus lines to Harvard/MIT, Whole Foods, grocery stores, etc. I found everything I needed and Sue was incredibly helpful and responsive thrughout!

David’s apartment in Cambridge exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It was incredibly homey, comfortable, and clean. The location is wonderful and walkable to lots of spots in the neighborhood. David was also incredibly responsive and proactive in communicating with us. I already can’t wait to stay again!

What a welcoming, beautiful, walkable place! Super clean, quiet, charming, etc. We felt right at home (three cheers for the Criterion Channel on the Roku ;-)). Everything we needed was there. Bathroom hooks, enough TP, ice, kitchen towels, laundry — things you miss if they’re not there. A beautiful walk to Harvard square this time of year but also plenty of cafes and restaurants in Huron Village and walkable to Fresh Pond too or any wonderful place on Mass Ave. We used to live in Cambridge and so can attest that this is an excellent location. Everything you need and everywhere easy to get to while also peaceful. Hosts are available without being in your space, too. Just all very thoughtful and lovely. Can’t wait to come back. Wonderful, light-filled home! An easy subway ride to Boston. Our family of 6, including two small children, was very comfortable. Cayla was friendly and helpful.

Dan's place is equidistant to Harvard and MIT, a short walk to great restaurants and cafes, and a wonderful base for exploring Cambridge. Would happily stay here again with my family.

Philip’s apartment was better than expected. Very clean and large. Great value for a roomy 3 bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet. We enjoyed the walkability of the location because we just left our car parked in the lot behind the apartment and walked or took the T everywhere. It was also nice to have a Whole Foods down the street and top notch coffee and ice cream only a few blocks away. Philip’s place was probably the nicest Airbnb that we’ve stayed in. What a gem!! Ana's appartement is amazing. The bedrooms are large with good mattresses and furniture. Kitchen is great too. There is a nice patio to sit on at the back. Ana's house is extrememy clean, cosy and very well maintained, we will definitely stay here again when we visit Boston!

This is a fine place to stay in the Cambridge area. It is an easy walk to Porter Square and a 15-20 minute walk to Harvard Square. The management is incredibly responsive and accommodating.

Great stay! Perfect for our needs while visiting our son. Cute and comfortable living space, comfortable bed, hot shower, great coffeemaker with pods provided, nice dining table, good location. Really appreciated the offer to check in early/out late, though we didn't end up taking advantage of it. We'll be back!

This place was awesome! In the winter I think it would be a little far from public transit if you’re not used to the cold weather, but the airbnb itself was fantastic. The host is responsive and the place looks as advertised. No laundry so that is annoying for long term. I would recommend this flat for anyone who can climb steep stairs and likes to walk.

Perfect rental for a couple on a Boston visit. Pretty quiet neighborhood with no disturbances while we were there for our 4 night stay. Plenty of room and a very well stocked kitchen. Communication was clear, polite and prompt. Parking garage ($25 a day) was close and easy to find. Inexpensive ($8-$12) Lyft rides to many Boston attractions. Would definitely stay at Jennifer’s unit again, if we return to Boston.
