Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Cambridgeshire

We have just spent a long weekend at Ashmi's lovely house with our children, their partners and our grandchildren. The house was well equipped for all our needs and the welcome pack was well received. We loved the hot tub which we used several times during our stay. We spent a day at Duxford Airfield which is literally 10 mins down the road. If I had to say anything that could be improved it would be that maybe a few more pillows could be provided as some of the group struggled with just one pillow each, but it certainly didn't affect our enjoyment. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a large house to spend time with either family or friends.

A great location for us,15 minute walk to the cathedral/city centre & only 10 minute taxi drive to our friend’s wedding at the Old Hall. The house is plenty big enough for two couples and had everything we needed. It was very clean & we appreciated the extras such as fans in the bedrooms .. Georgina was friendly , informative & quick to respond to our questions. We would happily recommend saying here.

This property was absolutely stunning. A perfect location for a relaxing group get away. We had so much fun and enjoyed relaxing in the very spacious garden. Olly and Mirek are fantastic hosts and we would definitely recommend this place!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was perfect for a friend's reunion, huge living room space and great outdoor area. James was very responsive, the house was clean and lots of helpful utensils and cooking apparatus. We all would love to stay again, thank you so much!

We had a wonderful time at the Reading Room. The fully enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog! Her tail did not stop wagging! It was a bit like having your very own freedom field for use whenever you wanted. It was a very hot week so unfortunately we didn’t get as much use out of it as we would have hoped. The Reading Room had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. Cressida had thought ahead and put a fan in for us given the weather we were very grateful. The location of the property was nice with plenty of walks down the River Ouse and walking distance into Wiggenhall St Germans. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do many of the walks because of the heat but would love to come back sometime and try them out. Would highly recommend this property to people that like to holiday with their dogs. Cressida was a brilliant host and very quick to respond to messages.

The Pump House exceeded all of our expectations. The setting was breathtaking—surrounded by peaceful nature, with beautiful views in every direction. It was the perfect place to switch off and enjoy some true tranquility. The architecture of the property is remarkable—thoughtfully designed with a stylish blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. It looks amazing in the photos, but in person, it's even more impressive. The accommodation itself was spacious and easily fit all 14 of us, with room to spare. The bedrooms and bathrooms were of exceptional quality, and every one of us slept incredibly well in the comfortable beds. We came prepared for the bugs, so I’d definitely recommend bringing citronella candles and repellent—not one of us got bitten! The remote location was exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature—it made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Great place, lovely amenities. I was even happy with the amount of traffic noise ive seen some people complain about. You get pretty good sound proofing once you're inside. Only issue i had was the floorboards upstairs...every movement echoed around the house. You could hear a tiptoe.

This was our second visit to Rest A While. A very helpful and responsive host who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. A well equipped apartment with a beautiful view of Kimbolton Castle. A great base to explore the area with safe and secure parking. Easy access to the selection of shops, a cafe and pub in Kimbolton. Savio's apartment is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated which is equipped with the household essentials I need. It is located in a pleasant and quiet neighbourhood and local shops and supermarket are just across the road. Savio is friendly, considerate and responsive host, who ensures I feel at home. Our communication is clear and smooth. I really enjoy my stay and would recommend this place without hesitation.

Great flat with lots of space and everything we needed, and lots of parking - easy walk into Peterborough, just what we wanted! Very good communication as well.

I had an incredible stay with Elaine as my host! From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely at home. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness ensured that everything was perfect throughout my week-long stay. The space was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cozy. Elaine went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and was always available for any questions or assistance. She is an exceptional host who genuinely cares about her guests!

This space is an ABSOLUTELY GEM of a find! I ended up with a prolonged stay of about 2.5 months and it was a joy to have this space to stay in and work from. The hosts were receptive, proactive, friendly and supportive. I have nothing negative at all to say about my stay and can’t think of anything that would have made my stay more enjoyable. 5 stars easily!

Our third visit. The accommodation is compact but everything needed is there. Comfy beds. Nice shower. Kitchen area has limited items but enough for our stay. Nice pub grub places not too far away.

This flat is an excellent place to stay in Cambridge! A friend and I spent a few days in the city, and we found that this property was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. It is located about a mile from the city center, so be prepared to walk! We were pleasantly surprised that the property felt even bigger in person than in the pictures. It is quiet, comfortable, and well located for easy access to local shopping, dining, and the university. The kitchen is well equipped if you plan to do your own cooking, and the flat was extremely clean. Kash is a wonderful host who provided clear instructions to access the building upon arrival, checked up on us throughout our stay and provided helpful recommendations for outings in the city. We highly recommend staying in this property on your next visit to Cambridge!
