This unique house has recently been renovated and now boasts 3 en suite rooms. With beautiful wooden floors throughout the house it is very cosy. There is air conditioning in every room which is essential in the Graaff-Reinet summer. We also have hot blankets on the beds to make you comfortable during the cold winters. The Heritage House

A historic house with whitewashed walls and Oregon floors and ceilings. It has three bedrooms, two of them with double beds, both with French doors opening to a private garden. The third is a twin room. The house has a large open-plan kitchen/living room. A stay should include a tour of the stunning art and giant tapestries made by local Bushmen descendants. The three galleries and the studio give visitors a chance to see local artists at work and chat with them about their heritage.

This unpretentious, rustic and secluded Karoo home is where internationally acclaimed playwright and writer Athol Fugard wrote between 1990 and 2017. We renovated the property extensively, whilst paying respect to the heritage and character of the home. The interiors have been beautifully curated and designed, with top quality bedding and utilities.
