What an adorable stay! I especially appreciated the decor in both bedrooms. Very well appointed (along with the exposed brick) and they thought of all the things to make it feel welcoming. Bed was very comfortable, lovely towels and linens, comfortable living room furniture to relax. It's in a perfect downtown location also. Walkable to all sorts of restaurants and coffee shops. Aaron was very communicative and helpful also! Definitely recommend!

The space was immaculate. It looked recently painted and fresh. The staff were extremely responsive. My phone can't support the upgrade to airbnb and they helped me work around that issue.

Great location, short walk to stores and restaurants. Lots of space. Nice size kitchen and living room. Two bedrooms with closets. Perfect spot in town.

Decent little 1 bedroom apartment above a local business. You park in the same lot as the business, apartment has its own entry door. I had no issue with noise from the business below but there is some street noise as it's right on the main road. Overall, it's a reasonable compromise for two people vs. getting a hotel room at a similar price if you want use of a kitchen. There are some minor oddities - the living area table is small and only has two stools (no backs), the one huge bed is a foam type and sagging in the middle (still comfortable though), and you have to roll the tv out to use it. House rules include doing the dishes and taking out the trash. On the plus side the check-in communication was good and access is easy. The place was clean, A/C was good during a very hot stay, couch was comfy, and the location is convenient. All in all it's a nice alternative to a hotel, but the main advantage is the kitchen.

My stay at freshwater vacations was a little rocky at first due to the weather, but they did everything in their power to make sure that I had a great vacation. The place was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. There’s so much room for a big family. We loved the backyard with the grill the dock and they also provided kayaks. It was a perfect peaceful getaway for me and my family. They also responded so quickly and we’re very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody we can’t wait to go back!!

This was my 2nd stay, exactly as expected and advertised. Very peaceful, just what I needed. The heat-pump a/c worked great throughout the house on a 90deg day. The home is clean with very comfortable furniture. I’ll definitely stay again. Thanks so much!

The beds were very comfortable. The house was clean. We saw several deer outside. The river view was nice. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay so we were unable to enjoy the patio. We would definitely consider staying here again when in the Mount Pleasant area.

Had a fantastic long weekend fishing with my dad. Easy instructions for check in and out. Very quiet area compared to some lakes I have stayed at. House is very clean and well stocked with cooking essentials in a very spacious kitchen. We brought kayaks since we were unsure if we would be limited from shore but only took them out once just to check out the channels. The fishing was great right from the dock. We both landed multiple large bass and so many panfish I lost count. Was exactly what I was looking for and would definitely come back.

The Haven Cottage was an amazing experience for our family of four. It went above and beyond our expectations! It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and safe for our young kids. Wendy & Al were amazing hosts and thoughtful down to every little detail. We realized we needed a pack and play and Wendy was generous enough to bring one over very quickly (and she also gave my girls some bubbles while stopping by). 🤗 They had a welcome book with everything we needed to know about the cottage, places to visit, and a scavenger hunt that my four year old LOVED! They went above and beyond and made us feel right at home and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Wendy & Al for sharing your beautiful home!

This is a great neighborhood and is an easy one mile walk down Fulton to Van Andel. Close to a great bakery, pizza, wine and coffee shops. Beds were very comfortable and the historic home is divided into two rentals, where we stayed in the upper unit which had a galley kitchen, dining area, living room, two bedrooms and a full bathroom that were simple and very clean. We would definitely return again. We did not need to reach out to Alex at all but that just means everything was well explained and easy to navigate for arrival and departure. Thanks Alex!

Beautifully restored condo in a lovely older home. Covered parking for two cars. Modern decor and lots of space. Large closet in main bedroom. Comfy beds.

In town for a mid-week family function, no hotel near our relatives’ home. This apartment/condo was a great find just a block away and a lot more room than we expected. It’s a lovely neighborhood, back off the quiet road a ways, and very clean/comfortable. The king bed and bedding were very comfortable. If we need a place again, we will be sure to stay here.
