Great place, clean private area with nice scenery

This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway with a good friend. It was quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. We enjoyed using the kitchen, and the view of the river was stunning. Gorgeous! Would definitely stay here again.

The beds were very comfortable. The house was clean. We saw several deer outside. The river view was nice. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay so we were unable to enjoy the patio. We would definitely consider staying here again when in the Mount Pleasant area.

Had a fantastic long weekend fishing with my dad. Easy instructions for check in and out. Very quiet area compared to some lakes I have stayed at. House is very clean and well stocked with cooking essentials in a very spacious kitchen. We brought kayaks since we were unsure if we would be limited from shore but only took them out once just to check out the channels. The fishing was great right from the dock. We both landed multiple large bass and so many panfish I lost count. Was exactly what I was looking for and would definitely come back.

Long weekend away This is our second stay and we loved it! This time we brought our fur babies and they loved it too. It’s a peaceful and serene area. House is very well stocked in case you may forget something.

The house is great setup for a relaxing family vacation. It is a nice quiet lake with a private beach and great fishing off the dock and around the whole lake. Our toddler loved the sand toys and we relaxed around the fire pit after dark. We also explored kid-friendly activities in Big Rapids and Mount Pleasant during our stay. The house was well-equipped and we really enjoyed our time here!

We absolutely loved staying at the CDL for a long weekend. The board game room had so many options to choose from—we really enjoyed spending time in there, checking out new games and a few staples. Everything was immaculate when we stepped in, so tastefully decorated and oh so clean. Rex and Lynnette are top notch hosts and were available when we had questions or needed a refill of coffee beans. Such kind people! We stayed at the Yellow Door Lodge last year and loved it just as much. We will be back!

The Haven Cottage was an amazing experience for our family of four. It went above and beyond our expectations! It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and safe for our young kids. Wendy & Al were amazing hosts and thoughtful down to every little detail. We realized we needed a pack and play and Wendy was generous enough to bring one over very quickly (and she also gave my girls some bubbles while stopping by). 🤗 They had a welcome book with everything we needed to know about the cottage, places to visit, and a scavenger hunt that my four year old LOVED! They went above and beyond and made us feel right at home and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Wendy & Al for sharing your beautiful home!

Brandi made my stay in St. Louis/Alma so easy. I was totally comfortable and at home in her place. It had everything I needed and was easy to get to and overall a perfect stay!

First of all, WOW! This was such an incredible location with the most attentive and kind hosts. My partner and I stayed the weekend at The Hive and felt right at home before we even arrived. This space had everything we needed, was not cramped or cluttered, and was very clean! The location is great: Mt Pleasant, Alma, St Louis, and more less than 10 minutes away. The Hive is just outside of the town enough to feel private and homey, but you are still so close to so many great restaurants, activities, and shops. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. We had a bonfire one of the nights and the hosts were extremely friendly, accommodating, and kind in helping us. We had everything we needed and so much more. There is no doubt in our minds that we will book future stays at The Hive. 1000/10 recommend; LOVE IT. <3

This was a fabulous place to stay. Gorgeous view of the lake, and plenty of in-home amenities to make this a great home for short- or long-term stays for a couple or small family. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed frequent and flexible use of the kayaks and trips into town and to the local farmers market. We will definitely return here next time we’re in the area.

I have been coming to the Fremont area for years with very few options on where to stay. I can confidently say that I will be staying here again in the future. It was a very hot weekend and coming into the Airbnb with the air conditioning kicking was a life saver. The space was also very clean, no dust in sight. Thank you, Melissa!

Our family loved the time we had at Todd’s cabin, it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is in a very peaceful, quiet setting. The beds were very comfortable, both adults and kids loved the jukebox and games, and being able to have a kitchen that was equipped with all the pots/utensils/things we needed was huge. It made cooking at the cabin for ourselves a breeze. Todd was a great communicator and we had no issues during our stay at all. Thanks again so much!

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay at Jodi's cabin. It felt like home away from home. The cabin and bunkhouse were cozy and fit our big family perfectly. The layout of the property with the fire pit/grill area, chairs, and hammock being located between the cabin and bunkhouse made for a perfectly private setting. There was never a dull moment for the entire family - kayaking, paddle boading, pedal boating, fishing (we rented a pontoon from John Kozicki Pontoon Rental), swimming, games, bonfires and sunbathing. It was exactly what we needed to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Jodi is a wonderful host and was responsive and friendly throughout the entire process. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The bathroom was well-stocked with necessities and plenty of towels. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the master bedroom has an amazing view of the river. Not one complaint was heard during our stay, and we cannot wait for our next visit!

Cabin is off the rode makes it nice for those who want to get away. Matt a fellow fishermen a big plus . I would book again in a hart beat.

What a GEM of a place! From the moment we walked in - it was so peaceful. The location was perfect - quiet yet convenient (close to the grocery store) and the cabin is clean and has so much character. Russ and Jade communicated throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. If you are looking for a place to truly disconnect and immerse in nature in a cozzy cabin, you will not regret booking. This place is special.

This rental hits the bullseye on the little things - lighting, ambience, seclusion, the whole package coming together to provide an invigorating and refreshing experience for the two of us. We will definitely be back!

Than & Lisa are amazing hosts. The cabin more than suits the needs for anyone looking to go off the grid and find all the peace and quiet that exists on the property and surrounding nature. Speaking of nature, it’s a stone throw from Manistee National Forest and the North Country Trail (Hiking trail running from Vermont to North Dakota) if you’re into that type of thing. If not, there is plenty to offer even the infrequent outdoorsy person something to gravitate to. Be mindful of the lack of internet (cellphone) service…but that’s the point right?!?!

We loved staying at the cozy cabin.The house was clean and tidy and the decor was perfect for the cabin.The kitchen was well stocked with items like plates,bowls, silverware,pans,napkins etc. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo,q-tips and other necessities.The shower was nice and hot. We loved having the washer and dryer there.The living room is cozy and was perfect for our family of 4 to watch a movie together. The beds were very comfortable. We spent a lot of time just sitting outside around the fire pit,enjoying the shaded yard. The location is very convenient. It was a very short drive to get groceries etc.We also walked to the ice cream place. Virginia was very responsive to messages.I didn’t need to contact her much though because all of the information we needed was either in the air bnb listing or in the information binder.

The is cabin is awesome! We hope to come back! It’s so cozy and relaxing and surrounded by beautiful scenery! Fishing during the day was tough but we still had a lot of fun! A couple of big fish were biting at night after it had rained but kept getting off 🤣. Caught some good smallmouth bass at sawdust hole. Thank you to the owners for sharing this place! Would recommend, - going to manistee for a day trip and eating at diner 31 and walking through lake bluff farms and Magoon creek natural area - going to Ludington and eating at jamesport brewing - state park is closed until July 1st fyi but you can hike some trails that are south
