Cottage holiday rentals in Canandaigua

This location is beautiful! Right on the lake. Easy to go down the stairs to the water. Randall was an excellent host and very responsive. The home is lovely and well kept. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! We used the canoe and kayaks and had a wonderful time on the lake. We would most definitely rent this again and we’ll keep it on our list! Highly recommend!

Nice setting easy to get to all activities we were looking to do like Watkins glen and wineries. Tony provided detailed instructions and gave good recommendations!

Peppermint Cottage was everything we hoped it would be! The scent of peppermint welcomed us upon our arrival. The fireplace and wide-plank floors created a perfect ambiance as we enjoyed the comfortable, cozy living room. The beds were comfy and the sheets crisp and clean. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to visit again someday.

Thank you for our wonderful stay this weekend. Your place is the quintessential lake cottage. Everything we needed was supplied and at our fingertips, without being overrun with “stuff.” Well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. It was a cool, rainy weekend and we took full advantage of the bedroom fireplaces and extra blankets! Would love to come back to enjoy summer-time at your place. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at the Oak cottage. Beautiful inside and out. Communication was quick and all our questions were answered. You can tell Jan takes great pride in her rentals. All the extra touches were greatly appreciated. Everything was as pictured and in working condition. The hot tub was amazing and the sharing system works great. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was extremely clean. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

The from the house was wonderful. Everything inside was clean and it was a very nice house to spend the weekend. There was one maintenance issue that was handled really before there was an issue. Everything was communicated clearly and handled very professionally. We really enjoyed our girls trip weekend here and would highly recommend this house to others.

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary at this lovely cottage surrounded by fields of grapes and a beautiful view and lake setting. We were very comfortable and enjoyed all the surrounding nature, restaurants and wineries. Mary was very responsive and gave us perfect directions and information. We definitely would stay at this Cozy Cottage again!

We enjoyed our five night stay at Camille’s place. It was a fantastic hub for waterfalls and lake day trips. We also walked to the glass museum and to downtown restaurants a few times. The place was full of cozy amenities and we had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor spaces! Front and back porch areas are gems.

We had a wonderful stay at this clean and comfortable lakeside cottage. We felt the location was nice, peaceful surroundings, yet close to all the trails and attractions. We would definitely return if ever in the area.

Great spot! The cottage itself was perfect for my wife, myself and 2 small dogs. It was comfortable, private, and mostly quiet. I say mostly as it is located alongside the primary wine trail road for east Seneca lake, so you will occasionally hear some cars whizzing by, but not bad at all, especially when inside. The location for me was also a big highlight! Closely located to some wonderful wineries/breweries, good eats, and parks. Watkins Glen is only like a 15 min drive. I would stay here again.

This is a hidden gem. If you are going to Ithaca and the surrounding area, make this your home base. Fully stocked kitchen, huge bathroom and quiet surroundings. Our host even left us a welcome basket. The bathroom had lots of towels and even a travel toothpaste if needed. We were able to wash clothes which was needed after a long day of hiking.

Magic Castle is truly such a unique place!! The room had everything we needed and more. The property itself is just beaming with positive energy and incredible attention to detail. This was our little one’s first overnight stay somewhere and she had such a wonderful time feeling right at home. Magic Castle is equipped to host smaller weddings where your guests can stay overnight, hang out by the camp fire, and celebrate safely and comfortably in the beautiful forests along the Finger Lakes! I can’t recommend this place enough and if we ever return to the area we will absolutely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Grandma’s Cottage - Lake Canadaigua, NY. The porch was our favorite place and where we spent almost every moment while we were at the cottage minus sleeping. It was comfortable and offered all that we needed. Jamie and Renee were great hosts, very friendly, willing to help with any of our needs, and made good recommendations of places for us to go and see in the area. Great peaceful space. The views were beautiful. The house had very cute touches and the beds were very comfortable!

The Place was all we needed for a long family weekend away. Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Good restaurant in walking distance as well as a local deli/store. Great location, lake is only a short walk from the house. Priscilla was a great host and addressed all of our questions. Thank you for a great stay!

“Ventura Lake House “ is nothing short of magical. The cottage is so comfortable and eclectic, furniture with fascinating pieces of art made by the hosts. The living room and bedrooms were extremely comfortable as was every space on the property, inside and outdoors. The kitchen was perfectly outfitted with anything a person might need. Christine even left a special birthday treat for our son and croissants as well as many staples in the fridge. Our favorite part was sitting on an Adirondack chair just watching and listening to Lake Ontario. We will definitely be back again and again. So grateful that Christine and Paul offer this beautiful place — and their many creative talents — for others to enjoy! Thank you!

We are glad that Scott and Diane decided to host us — we had a great time away from busy NYC. We didn’t luck out with the weather, but still had lots of fun exploring Canandaigua. The cottage was very clean and very homey, with every little thing thought of. It made for a very cozy time during the stormy weather. We highly recommend and plan on staying again!

Christopher was extremely patient and accommodating after I made a booking error for our weekend. The place is really fun and in a great location. You can walk to so many different restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee, and the lake. Would absolutely book again.

Very nice clean place to stay. There were many extra things prepared, such as towels, linen, cleaning supplies, coffee, spices, cards and games, propane filled grill, fire pit… Comfy sleeping arrangements. Short walk to the playground/beach area. The dock was nice for recreational fishing. It was a nice time! Would love to return.

If you are looking for a local sweet spot with an amazing view and private beach, look no further. This cottage is the sweetest piece of local history made into a cozy respite with friendly neighbors. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake was incredible ! The cottage has everything you need and is in a great location to be on the lake and also visit Rochester and the surrounding areas. The bed, pillows, throw blankets are so comfortable and the electric fire on the wall for ambient light is a great touch! My daughter and I came for a girls getaway and next time we are in town, I hope this cottage is available so we can stay again!
