  • Phat Kat's Essential Detroit Tour
We'll meet at the Fisher Building on West Grand Boulevard for a tour of what I personally consider to be the Detroit Essentials. As we drive from stop to stop, I'll point out Detroit architecture and significant cultural places, and share details and trivia only a native Detroiter would know--and talk about changes I've seen in the city through the years. From the Fisher Building, we will travel to the Motown Museum, the Packard Plant, the Heidelberg Project, Eastern Market, Belle Isle, Joe Louis monument, Michigan Central Station, Corktown, and the Guardian Building. We'll end up back at the Fisher Building, where you can peruse the goods at The Pure Detroit store and show off your honorary Detroiter status when you return home. I love to answer questions about what Detroit was like growing up in the '70s and '80s and about my musical career--especially the early days when I worked with such Detroit legends as the late great producer J. Dilla.

  • Learn to paint like Bob Ross!
Let's have a great time painting a complete oil painting just like Bob Ross in one afternoon. We will start just as Bob did, putting on layers of sky, clouds, and water, and build our landscape scene with strong mountains, or gently sloping hills and of course, lots of happy trees! All supplies are included and no previous painting experience is needed. You can do this! Certified Bob Ross Instructors have gone though intensive training and are approved by Bob Ross Inc. to teach Bob's method. You will leave with a complete painting, and memories to share with friends and family!

  • Journey of Arabian Flavors
We will first meet at Shatila, one of the most popular Arabic pastry shops in Dearborn to enjoy Arabian tea or Turkish coffee and get to know one another. Next, we will meet at one of the largest middle-eastern supermarkets where we'll savor the delicious scents of Arabic food and learn about the different cuisines of the Arab world. Learn why Arabs only eat with their right hand? Why some women wear a covering and others don't? What is it like in a traditional Arabian household? We'll discuss answers to these questions & many more. Lastly, we'll have an immersive culinary experience at one of the most popular middle eastern restaurants of our choice ( Lebanese, Yemani, or Iraqi cuisine ) where we will enjoy the delicious aromas and flavors of Arabic food while engaging in conversations about traditional Arabic hospitality. Other things to note Dress casually and wear comfortable shoes. Bring your camera. You'll also need to provide your own mode of transportation to all of the three locations mentioned.

  • Get a Taste of Hawaiian Cooking
Join me for a live, virtual culinary experience, where we’ll transport ourselves to Hawaii through delicious flavors. Bang bang fried shrimp and pineapple fried rice are on the menu. We’ll make succulent, battered-fried shrimp coated in a sauce that strikes a beautiful balance between sweet and spicy. We’ll pair it with flavorful fried rice served in a hollowed pineapple. It's the epitome of what "eating the rainbow" means. Not only will we cook together, but you’ll also receive a dynamic lesson in knife skills. I’ll provide personal guidance throughout the cooking class and am happy to answer any questions you may have. ----------------- NOTES: ** I'm available to host this virtual cooking experience in all time zones. Just send me a calendar request and I'll do my best to accommodate. ** I can accommodate large groups as well. Just book a private virtual experience. ** I'm able to customize / personalize this experience as well. Just message me your ideas, and I'll see what we can do. Other things to note This is a live, virtual culinary experience led by a professional chef that includes detailed cooking instructions in real time.
