Had a great stay! D. Fernanda e Sr. João are very friendly and attentive, always ready to help with whatever was needed. The house was impeccably clean, well organized and equipped with everything we needed. The environment is very peaceful and quiet, ideal for resting and easy access to the main points of interest in Gerês. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

It seems impossible to write something new about Maria and her wonderful place at the Douro River that has not been already commented and praised by previous guests. The 5-star review rating for Casa do Rio is very well earned: it is a piece of heaven, tucked away in the Douro Valley and Maria - and not to forget her husband, Jose (who does not get enough praise in other reviews) - are exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 weeks, with a number of our friends coming to visit us for shorter stays. Maria accommodate all of our changing check-in and check-out needs without a glitch. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many activities and entertainment options - including massages by Hugo (a master of his craft) that the location provides. One thing to be aware of: There is no shopping option and limited restaurant choices available in walking distance, hence a car is almost a necessity for a longer stay.

Super nicely located accommodation with great views of the Douro. Beautiful little winery with personal tours. Only the kitchen needed some upgrading, especially the dull knives.

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

From the absolutely extraordinary house, to the scenery that seems to come from a movie, to Mr. Manuel who left us speechless of so friendly and dear that he is. There is no better place than this to rest, and we leave thinking about the time to return. The photographs do not make juz to the place at all… Very spacious house, we were in a T1 and there was a lot of space, well decorated, very modern, with an amazing outdoor space, it is simply magical to go to the balcony and only listen to the birds. Thank you Lúcia and thank you to Mr. Manuel, who made this stay fantastic and to wish you back!

This was the most magical Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. The space is completely private and very romantic and peaceful, and the views are just breathtaking. The interior decor is stunning and feels very warm and welcoming. You have your own private pool with a view of the valley and two nice pool recliners, and the bed and couch are so soft and comfortable. Also, the outdoor stone bathtub with the special bath pillows was such a relaxing treat! We explored the area around a bit to see some vineyards, but we made dinner at the house every night and enjoyed the amazing breakfast delivered to our door every morning—all that to say, we barely left! This is worth the trip just to visit the Airbnb. I can’t recommend it enough.

A lovely and unique stay with your very own waterfall! The host is quick to respond and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay either out exploring or by the pool.

We have had an excellent time. The town of Gerês and São Bento da Porta Aberta provided a quiet visit to Gerês and São Bento da Porta Aberta. Great location with restaurants and mini-markets nearby so we can make/have lunch. The house allows us to go hiking or long runs in the middle of nature observing small streams and beautiful landscapes. It was a very good experience. The house was in great condition and has all the conditions to receive families. Thanks to Sara who guided us in our stay and who didn't let us miss anything.

It was a great house with great hosts

We loved our stay! I loved having the coffee Jorge provided in the balcony every morning while enjoying the view. The apartment felt like home. It is well located near the town center, local market, supermarket, etc. Jorge is an amazing host. He took the time to meet up at check-in, showed us around the unit and pointed out local attractions. We also appreciated the wine and pastries he left for us when we checked in. I am so glad we found this place and I would definitely stay again!

Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A perfect place to stay for several days. We thoroughly recommend staying here and look forward to returning

I would highly recommend this place. The location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the city centre but away from the hustle & bustle and noise. Maria and Sergio also met us upon arrival and provided us with great recommendations. The view from the terrace is exactly as pictured - it is the perfect spot to kick back and relax on the Duoro River after a long day of walking the hills of Porto.

Yhe place is unique and reminisent of its original purpose. Modern interior nested within a very large original room. Several sets of doors open to the outside and coblestone street below. Walkers and partiers below could be loud at night. We closed the doors and turned on the fan which made it tollerable. We would certainly go again to this place if in Porto

Our recent stay at Ivan’s beautiful 2-bedroom condo in Porto exceeded every expectation we had for our Portuguese getaway. The apartment was perfect. The host helped us solving some issues we had during the stay. They were great and extremely kind. We highly recommend and will definitely book this apartment again if we come back to Braga.

The apartment is a delight from the moment you walk in. It is beautifully decorated and feels like a home. Great bathroom with amazing rain shower and hot water. Bedroom and kitchen and living areas are all well presented and equipped with all you need and with lots of additional touches. Very quiet for sleeping, and great air conditioning in bedroom and living area. Great location to explore Porto, and don’t even have to walk very far at all, including a great cafe next door, to find lovely eating places. Pedro was a wonderful host in every way.

Nuno’s Porto studio was great! The location is perfect as it has various great restaurants and cafes right on the same street and you can walk to anywhere in the city within 10-15 min. The place was a modern studio that was very clean and had cool views. Nuno was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again!

...EVERYTHING IS EXCELLENT... We chose this accommodation based on the comments: ALL the reviews are positive. The apartment is currently under renovation and we have been given the one downstairs, which is similar but with a large terrace. The apartment is however new, comfortable and very clean. From May 22 to 29, with my wife and son, we stayed in this apartment equipped with every comfort, all the appliances in the kitchen and bathroom are new. All the bed and bath linens were available and perfect. Comfortable and large double bed In addition, the house has perfect and fast Wi-Fi and two new air conditioners. The accommodation is located near Campanha, in a quiet area and the condominium is very quiet. David was kind and helpful, answering our questions immediately. A stay to be repeated for sure... Highly recommended. Thank you for everything First time on Airbnb and everything was fantastic...I found David!!!

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

The apartment is very beautiful and in a great central area. We went everywhere by foot. The communication with Daniel was perfect, he is very nice and responded quickly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Joao was a super great host, very helpful and very flexible on check in which he met us personally to give us a walk through of everything. Very responsive and the place was perfect with a little garden to have coffee in the morning. Great location and enough provisions for our short stay. Highly recommend!

The apartment is very cozy, clean and very spacious. A very communicative host, responds quickly to messages. We received very accurate directions to the apartment, which was very helpful. Location a short walk from the center, but for us it was not a problem - we wanted the apartment to be close to the university (about 10 minutes walk to the university). I would definitely recommend this place!
