Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Caniço

We had a wonderful stay at Olesea's place. Everything was a good fit for the description of the place. The lower level was, as described, rather low as regards the ceiling height, tall people should keep that in mind. From Gaula we were very well connected to destinations in the east and north of the island.

A big place at a very reasonable price, tucked away in a nice spot but still very close to amenities. I followed up on many of Monica's recommendations and they were all fantastic! If this place is available, I highly recommend booking it!

We just finished 2 magical days at Patricia’s home and cannot say enough incredible things of her place. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL, with an amazing pool and jaw dropping views. In addition to this she was so accommodating to us and made sure we were comfortable the entire time!!! Uber’s and Bolt’s are easy to call and extremely affordable. We did not want to leave and are already planning our next trip to her home!!

What a wonderful place to stay and for us perfect location to explore beautiful Madeira. 6 of us stayed for 1 week, the accommodation was perfect with various areas to spread out. We spent most of our evenings around the pool side, playing games and soaking up the views. The home has everything a family would need to enjoy your stay. Local shops, cafes and restaurants 10min walk up hill. Fully recommend if you are able to take a 1 day jeep tour of the island as Madeira has some spectacular scenery, valleys, mountains, villages and locations to explore. Contact with the host was effortless and always quick with responding. We loved our stay.

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

The space is super clean and bright. Everything is new. The host was flexible for check-in and welcomed us warmly. Super comfortable bedding and mattresses. The accommodation is close to shops such as grocery stores and pharmacies. For parking, it may be more complicated to find daytime parking since there is a school nearby. No problem in the evening. In the worst case, there is paid parking for 0.40 euros per hour, which is really affordable. After 7 p.m. and before 8 a.m., parking is free everywhere during the week. Free on Sundays. We always find parking in the nearby streets. We would recommend this listing!

We loved staying at this apartment. It has an amazing view to the sea and is also in walking distance to it. There are many good restaurants in this area and a supermarket as well as a bakery on the same street. Many sights and hiking trails are in short distance to the apartment. It’s very well located.

Simply paradise! We felt super comfortable from the first moment. The accommodation is the best we've ever been to - perfect for switching off and letting your mind wander. Everything was super clean and furnished with a lot of love for detail. The garden and the pool are fantastically beautiful and offer absolute relaxation. Waking up in the morning with a view of the sea and the sound of the waves was simply priceless. The kitchen in the accommodation is well equipped – and cooking in the outdoor kitchen was a real highlight, there was really nothing missing. Communication was very warm and uncomplicated throughout. The accommodation is in a small, charming village with a few restaurants where you can eat wonderfully. You can enjoy fantastic sunsets on the beach - a real experience! There is also a small supermarket nearby for daily needs. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tony’s apartment! The view was incredible and there were many restaurants near by! Had no issues with finding parking and everything was easily accessible with a rental car. Would definitely recommend

apartment overlooking the ocean with a window and terrace with a beautiful view. Clean and well-equipped (washing machine and dishwasher, kitchen utensils, toaster, hair dryer, ironing board...). The furniture is a little vintage but well-kept. The only thing that could be improved is the instructions to reach the apartment because they were unclear, and being night, they were difficult to follow in the dark. Highly recommended!

Madeira is a fantastic island. Well-served area, there are restaurants nearby. Thank goodness the accommodation includes a parking space as it is difficult to find street parking. Fantastic host, recommendable.

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

Great apartment. Everything as described. Tip...bring some shower/bath gel or buy some locally. There was only little bottles of shampoo. This was to start you off when you arrived, but, if you feel like a shower after a long journey it would be nice to have just a couple of small bottles of gel just for the initial shower or bath. It was quite noisy when we stayed with very loud building works with an excavator loading and crashing rocks and boulders into the lorries and travelling right past the apartment loaded with all of those 🥺 This was at the front of the apartment, so although we couldn't use the balcony there: thankfully the bedroom was at the rear of the property, so a lie in was possible when the work started early in the morning. However, this may not be the case for any future guests as they may have finished the works before they arrive. Other than this problem, we had a great time on this beautiful island ( our 8th visit and our first time in self catering)

We stayed for a week with 4 people in a very nice apartment. We enjoyed the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Ideal for 2 couples. We highly recommend this clean and tastefully decorated accommodation. This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

I consider my stay in Jennifer's apartment to be one of the best I have ever had. Our group felt very comfortable in the apartment, we had a lot of space and everyone could spend time freely. The view from the balcony was great, the view of the ocean and the surrounding banana plantations pleased our eyes. We prepared meals ourselves in the kitchen, which was fully equipped and there was a lot of dishes and cutlery. In the room with a grill and billiards, we had a great time in the evenings, everyone found something for themselves ;) I highly recommend staying with Jennifer, the best option you can find on the island. Everything perfect! Really nice place

Nice little accommodation with everything you need, good amenities and Carla was very friendly and helpful with questions and if we needed anything. The windows were a bit cumbersome to operate but you can do that with a little practice. We would come back.
