Beach house holiday rentals in Carlsbad

This place was HEAVEN!! We fell in love with the place. The place was spotless and looked exactly like the photos. A 15 min walk to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the view from the couch every morning and the view from the lifeguard chairs in the evening. The Airbnb hosts were helpful and responsive. This place felt like home and can not wait to book again! Thank you!

We loved our stay! The house is very spacious and we had more than enough room for our family of 4 + 2 dogs. Great location as it is walkable to the beach and downtown. Also a great location to bike from. The hosts were wonderful! They reached out prior to our arrival with very clear and easy instructions. They also sent us some wonderful local recommendations! We will absolutely return!

My girlfriends and I had an amazing weekend at Logan’s house! It was the ideal getaway for our annual Mother’s Day trip. The home was just as described and only steps from the beach. We adored the decor, especially the pink accents, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!

We initially planned to stay in Leucadia for a week but decided to extend our stay for a full second week because we loved this place so much. The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to the Beacons beach to surf every day and had our pick of all the best restaurants on the 101 (highly recommend Birdseye Kitchen). The house itself is cozy and surprisingly private for a place on the 101. It helped to have laundry on site and Chris was responsive throughout our visit. The house isn't as well stocked as a lot of air bnbs (no wine glasses, coffee, ice cube trays, etc.) but you will probably want to eat out most of your stay anyway because there are so many great places within walking distance. We definitely plan to come back and highly recommend this charming little nook in Leucadia! Excellent cost for value.

Such a beautiful home. Everything was just as described on the listing. Plenty of space for our group of 7 adults and a baby. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit area each night. Host was very responsive.

I loved the stay and how close and easy it was to walk to the beach with little ones. Home was close to restaurants, fun and all things needed. My family enjoyed their stay here and was peaceful vacation for all of us. Rachel and Pete (property manager) were extremely responsive during our stay and very helpful. Fairly priced and great stay for anyone to enjoy. Clean home!

We had a fantastic stay at Clarissa’s place! The location is unbeatable—just a row of houses away from the beach and conveniently close to the Village, restaurants, and Legoland. Clarissa is an incredible host, always responsive and attentive to anything we needed. The home itself is well-equipped with everything you could ask for. We only used one bedroom in the back, and the bed was very comfortable. The long driveway behind a small gate was a huge plus, easily fitting our GMC truck and a smaller SUV. This home is also great for larger groups, with plenty of space to spread out. Highly recommend staying here—we’d love to come back!

Beautiful home with plenty of space. Vanessa was very responsive and helpful with check in. I had made a request to check in early due to travelling with an infant and when I arrived she had a packnplay and a high chair set up for me. The house had several toys/books for kids along with beach chairs and shades for us to use. The pool and spa was beautiful and kept very clean. There is also a walking path at the end of the street that goes along the beach and leads to pacific beach within 15-20 minutes. Its hard to find a house this spacious and close to pacific beach for this price, would highly recommend to anyone. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive to messages which is always nice when travelling from far away.

Host made every part of our stay easy. From detailed instructions and directions on how to check in (easy!!), to info about the complex and what’s available (so much, and very close!), to answering the few questions we had, Alyssa made it easy! Place was clean with everything we needed easy to find (beach towels, LOADED kitchen, extra propane tank, etc). Ocean view from two of the bedrooms was breathtaking. Would definitely stay here again. Fair price for all you get.

This place was amazing! Unfortunately, we did not get to use the pool although my Grandson did get his feet wet lol as the weather did not cooperate. All the amenities were as described and then some. We only had to Contact Christine one time and she responded right away. I would definitely rent this again in the future and recommend it for anyone needing to accommodate a large group.

Great experience from booking through to departure. The rental is as good as the pictures with great ocean views and stunning sunsets. The house was very clean and tidy, has all the amenities you need (including an entertainment system) whilst respecting the open plan, minimalistic feel. Drift Vacation Homes are very easy to work with. Communication was excellent, they offer clear instructions and are very responsive. We were afforded a late checkout ($50), this made our last day more enjoyable before heading to the airport. The overall price is in keeping with other rentals in this area, in my opinion you definitely get what you pay for. We would, without hesitation, book a rental through Drift Vacation Homes in the future.

We stayed at Pete's place because it has a gorgeous pool (the pool slide was a huge hit), is close to Del Mar racetrack, and is close to the beach/ocean (you can see the ocean from the front yard). We took our two Bichons and felt safe and secure letting them out. We have family in San Diego and had a small family cook out on Sunday. The grill was awesome, and there are lots of fun things to do on the property, front and back yards. We didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi, but it was already heated up. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, there were fans in the family room and bedroom. Large kitchen, so you can cook and bake if you don't want to eat out all the time. The house is single story, but outside there are lots of levels where you have to go up and down some single steps,so small children would need help and elderly or disabled folks may need help, too. Pete gave great directions about how to access the main entrance, and the self check-in security code.

Our stay at this property surpassed our expectations in so many ways! The photos didn't reflect how beautiful, clean, spacious, and private our airbnb was. There was so much for our family of 7 to enjoy during our 3 day stay, together & individually. Our kids enjoyed swinging on the swings, going up on their loft to get the beautiful ocean views, lounging around in their pool, and walking around & exploring all the nature that surrounds this home. We were really impressed with the Spanish modern design of this home and the cohesiveness of the modern and traditional design elelments-it made for stunning photos! The host resoonded promptly to every one of our question; they reponsed within the hour to every one of our questions.

Awesome place. Walked to the beach each morning for a quick dip and checked out the surfers with my family in the afternoons during beautiful sunsets. The place is extremely spacious, almost couldn't believe the area that was available to us. Huge kitchen if you want to cook. Plenty or areas to hangout or lounge. Felt peaceful and at home with the outer and inner garden. Will definitely come back.

My family had a wonderful stay at Jon’s house! The location is close to everything but also quiet and peaceful. We all enjoyed the beautiful pool and beds were very comfy, not to mention a beautiful kitchen to cook in. We didn’t want to leave!

Rarely do we ever return to a place we've stayed at before because we just want to make new memories and be open to new things. This place has been the exception, we couldn't wait to come back! We stayed at the Blue Ocean Cottage in May of 2024 and had such a great time that we did it again May of 2025! The proximity to the beach, the village and the quiet neighborhood can't be beat. This has been the perfect place for our family to spend time together, making dinner and playing games. Beach is so close, it's easy to pop over anytime. Grandparents (my wife and I) loved the cottage out back where we could have some quiet time to ourselves. The kids (twenty somethings) and grandchild equally enjoyed have their "own" space in the main house. Property is only 15 minutes from Oceanside harbor where we went on a whale/dolphin watch, which I can't recommend enough. It's about 10 minute drive to Legoland with traffic. Wonderful family memories at the Blue Ocean Cottage!

Deyao’s place was great. Location is wonderful and is about a 8-10 min drive from the pier. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with walking distance to a big park 2 houses down. My dog enjoyed his morning walks. Plenty of kids playing in the playground, basketball courts, and tennis courts. The home itself is a duplex and is shared with tenant. They are very respectful and the Gentleman that we met gave us some really good recommendations. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the day bed in the living room was cozy, the kitchen had everything we could need (organized and labeled) and the bed felt like it was from a hotel. I liked how you the home had 3 different entrances so you could still have your “side” of the lot to enjoy. Would recommend this place to stay at if you are in Oceanside. Thank you Deyao! (Try the Cali burrito from La Perla Tapatia if you want amazing authentic Mexican food down the street)

10 and her partner were great at hosting us while we stayed in Carlsbad we enjoyed the view the walk to the beach the game room they went above and beyond by getting my child some snacks and a pizza so it would be there when we arrived this was amazing which was amazing when traveling with kids will be back to stay

It was absolutely charming. We enjoyed our short stay, only regret was not having more time to enjoy it more. Beds and bedding was comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked. Plenty of thick towels and beach towels. My grandsons loved sleeping in the loft. We were 20 minutes away from Sea World minutes from great parks for the boys. The owner was wonderful. I recently stayed at this beach house, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the stunning ocean views. The house itself was immaculate, nicely decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need. I especially loved the deck where my family and I enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The bedrooms were also cozy and comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like coffee, snacks, and beach towels provided for our use. Casago management is also very responsive!

Beautiful location across the street from the beach. Slept so well after a day with sun and sand, listening to the waves. Clean, nicely decorated. Had everything we needed for our trip.

This is our second time staying at this place. We will keep coming back! Very clean and in a quiet, private location on a quiet street. Beach is not very far away, and I love that I can actually park in the garage. The place is brand new and beautiful inside and the grand piano is a nice touch. Would recommend to anyone.
