House holiday rentals in Castres

It's hard to write a review that doesn't seem sponsored because everything was so perfect, but I assure you, we're real human travelers and we really found a perfect place. Val and Phil are very present while being non-intrusive, they have excellent advice and are very attentive to the guests of their cottages. I say "their" because there are 3 cottages for rent in addition to their private residence and each of them has its own personal private area, the (large) swimming pool is shared but this allows you to meet together for moments of conviviality. The "Figuier" cottage we booked is perfect in its design and offers breathtaking sunrise views. A little piece of heaven at the foot of the Black Mountain.

such a beautiful, tranquil spot. we had a lovely couple of the days in this cottage in the hills, with beautiful surroundings. the hosts were very helpful and kind. one night we ordered food from a neighbour and it was amazing. highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the kitchen was extremely well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. The host was very friendly and always quick to respond to our messages. We also really enjoyed spending time outside, whether on the terrace or by the pool. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

The property was everything we’d hoped for, peaceful, private and in a beautiful setting. It was equipped with everything we could need, with very comfortable furniture and high quality linens. The kitchen was very well equipped indeed, I loved the air fryer! Colin met us on arrival, unlocking the door and showing us how to operate the shutters before making himself scarce. Although the hosts live next door they’d obviously gone to some effort to make sure the property felt private, we hardly knew they were there. The area is just beautiful with some very scenic villages within a short drive. We’d recommend visiting Montolieu as well as Carcassonne itself. The Lac de la Cavayere is well worth a visit in nice weather and I suspect even more so in summer when all of its activities are in operation. Colin very kindly negotiated with the cleaners to allow us an extra hour before we had to check out - with 7 hours between checkout and our flight this was very much appreciated!

Erwin gave us a welcome worthy of a privileged guest with a keen sense of hospitality. You will have access to a swimming pool in a green setting, a real haven of peace. A beautiful vegetable garden, a neat and comfortable environment at all levels. Everything is well thought out! Sensational

Had a lovely 9 night stay at Aleinor’s villa and it was perfect. Lovely and roomy, quiet neighbourhood and the addition of the pool completed things. Very easy to get to surrounding places. We visited Albi, Toulouse and Carcassone and all within an hours drive. Ravel itself is also a lovely town. Any concerns/questions were quickly answered. Would have no hesitation in staying here again if holidaying in the region. A place our whole party thoroughly enjoyed.

Cédric and Léa are very responsive and friendly. We had a nice stay at their quietly located accommodation. The accommodation was clean and functional.

My girlfriend, me and our 2 dogs booked the place between the years to find peace and spend a nice time in nature. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Christine. The place is exactly as described and everything was to our complete satisfaction. What made this vacation unforgettable, however, is not the accommodation itself, but the wonderful hostess who always stood by us in times of need. When our car stopped working, she took over the communication with the French workshop, was in the nearest village for hours for us and clarified the situation and even drove us 1.5 hours to the car rental on the day of departure. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy the time in the beautiful place despite the difficulties. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Christine again for her helpfulness and professionalism!! 💚

Very nice surprise! Beautiful place with very well decorated and renovated house, combining the charm of the old with modern comfort (nothing is missing). The outside is pure happiness: calm, greenery, river, stone bridge... We had a very good weekend. I would recommend this rental.

If like us you need to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature, you have found your place! Ideally located between Lacaune and Brassac in a small hamlet surrounded by trees with an extraordinary view of the valley. The accommodation is cosi and well-equipped. The bedding is quality. The two bathrooms with bath and shower are a real plus. In short, you'll understand, we loved it! And we recommend...

This beautiful cottage, once home to the Abbot and built in 1732, is in the middle of the pristine village of Soreze. It is exactly as pictured in the photos with a large lawn and garden, gated for privacy. We had perfect weather and spent many hours reading and eating meals on the patio. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely. Our hosts, who live nearby, were very helpful and welcoming. Staying at the “home of the Abbot” was a unique and unforgettable experience. We went from tolerating to loving and now missing that tower bells on the half hours. We hope to return soon!

A wonderful setting, a charming house, a change of scenery guaranteed, it allowed us to break the routine. Olivia is very responsive and pleasant. Our little dogs also love the place and have found their comfort there. I would 100% recommend this place. Mazamet footbridge nearby, pretty village of Hautpoul, lake, hiking trail, pretty streams. There's no reason to be bored! Thank you again for allowing us to experience this wonderful moment!❤️

Thanks to Fabienne for her hospitality, she is very responsive to answering questions and was a good source of advice for visiting the area. She and her husband are lovely people. They run a charming little restaurant in the village, very nice to have a good time. We had a great weekend with friends with our children. The house is perfectly clean and tastefully decorated. The environment is relaxing and peaceful if you want to disconnect from your life at 100 miles an hour and you enjoy nature, this is the right place! The WiFi works without any problems😉! We had a great weekend in this beautiful renovated barn. The house was impeccable, clean, tastefully decorated, and very functional. The garden is very pleasant, very beautiful view, peaceful place where you can enjoy the tranquility of nature. The environment is quiet, that's what we were looking for. For those who want to disconnect, I recommend it 100%. Everything was perfect. 😁

The house offered by Ludivine deserves its 5 stars. The place is quiet, not a sound so relaxing. The accommodation is tastefully furnished, it is very clean and the bedding is impeccable.
