"Panorama Balcony" Mountain Chalet-Manor House

TiffanyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words cannot capture how beautiful and serene this home is. I could happily sit on the porch and look over the valley and surrounding mountains for hours, but also loved admiring the gorgeous stone walls and woodwork inside the house as well. The home is well-equipped and Fanis was extremely helpful with local advice and anything else we had questions about. Would definitely love to return.

New, modern, very clean. "Warm place". Nice view of the snowy mountain. Very close to Kalavryta. Irini is very helpful. Please ask for directions where to park your car.

ThetisGuesthouse

Despoina is a great host, responsive and very friendly. The house is cute, within a complex of traditional-style homes in beautiful surroundings and conveniently located between the town of Kalavryta and the ski resort. The house is well-equipped, though some additional supplies would improve the overall experience. I highly recommend Despoina’s house for a cozy and enjoyable mountain getaway!

Zarouchla Mountain House Forest

LizaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The maisonette was about 70sqm with two bedrooms ideally placed in the forest, perhaps the best location of anything else we saw in the area, it is right next to a ranch for children and a small river as well as small walking route in the forest. The garden was nice, the house belongs to a family so we found toys, it really felt like home. Zarouxla forest was very beautiful and original as well as the village. However bare in mind that the village gets alive only in the weekend, apart from December and the summer months, and during the week everything is closed, all the taverns and cafes and sight seeing, even the mini market and the closest place to find milk or cereals was Akrata more than 1 hour away so you must come prepared with groceries. At the end the experience was us and nature, we found a local original tavern with great affordable local food in Peristera, and in a few days our lives changed rhythm, we became in tune with the trees and singing birds.Perfect for peace.

the house is located in beautiful mountains full of tall fir trees, all the scenery is breathtaking, the owners are wonderful people very welcoming and helpful, the house inside is very clean and comfortable. the owners prepared a basket full of delicacies, wine, many fruits, juices and many other snacks, there was even something about our dog🥰 we can safely say that it was a very good choice.

Maria was a perfect host -warm, friendly and very responsive. We loved her place and its location for a long weekend. Clean, nicely decorated and had anything needed for a little nest to unwind in nature. We would love to visit again if the chance occurs.

A Writer's House

SophieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Yannis was a perfect host, taking the trouble to meet us and show us the house, stocking the fridge full of delicious fresh produce and recommending lots of local activities. We were travelling with two young children and he kindly provided us with a cot and high chair. The house had a lovely authentic feel. The top floor gets very hot without air con but we were aware of this before travelling and fans were provided which helped. Platanos is great for exploring local beaches (Punta was our favourite) and for generally taking it easy. The taverna in the village was very handy to have nearby, but our favourite food was at the taverna on Platanos beach just down the hill. As others have said, a car is necessary. Oh and a visit to the bakery in Akrata is a must. Thank you Yannis!
