Holiday rentals in Chamaizi

We called this place "the mansion." The views are absolutely breathtaking and the accommodations pristine. The beautiful beach is across the street and the hotel nearby has an outside bar on that beach. We ended up renting a car because we could tell driving in Crete was easier than places like Mykonos and Athens. We ventured to a few places like Richtis Gorge and the downtown harbor; excellent shopping with some closed (no vehicles) streets. We wished we had more time here! Our host was very kind and also helpful in booking the car rental after our arrival. We highly recommend Villa Phi!! Thank you.

Nous avons apprécié les nombreuses attentions (vin, fruits, pain, beurre, confiture, etc). Le logement ainsi que sa localisation au sommet du village sont magnifiques. Nous avons énormément apprécié le calme environnant. Giorgos a aménagé sa maison pour que nous nous y sentions bien. Il a aussi été très proactif et réactif. Nous recommandons sans hésiter ce logement et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Absolutely fantastic, five stars quite honestly isn’t enough for Menelaos and his beautiful penthouse villa. The villa is perfectly located….it really couldn’t be closer to the sea, with unique views of Mochlos, the island and the coasts to the east and west. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay, and the balcony is just perfect….the hardest thing was to drag ourselves away from it! Most importantly Menelaos is an absolutely perfect host, we’ve never had a welcome like it and we immediately felt at home, Menelaos is a true gentleman. We’re lucky to spend quite a bit of time in Crete and will definitely return to Menelaos Penthouse Villa….in fact I’m already planning our next visit!

Voor de tweede keer verbleven in Villa Atalandia, en het was opnieuw een droomvakantie. Vanaf het hartelijke welkom door Faidra, die ons een rondleiding gaf en een prachtig welkomstgeschenk aanbood, voelden we ons meteen thuis. We vierden iets speciaals en werden verrast met een extra attentie, wat de ervaring nóg persoonlijker maakte. De villa straalt oog voor detail uit, met stijlvolle schilderijen, bedlinnen en handdoeken met logo. De BBQ onder de sterrenhemel was romantisch, en de zwembaden waren heerlijk schoon en goed onderhouden. De villa draait op zonnepanelen en heeft een eigen waterzuiveringsinstallatie, wat bijdraagt aan het veilige en milieuvriendelijke gevoel. De uitgebreide map met tips voor uitstapjes en restaurants was erg handig, en de boottocht naar Koufonisi was perfect georganiseerd. Een ideale plek voor een rustige gezinsvakantie met prachtige uitzichten, romantische restaurants en een adembenemende route van de luchthaven naar de villa.

We really enjoyed our stay, the instructions to access the apartment were easy to follow, the welcome was perfect and the little touches of kindness here and there from Charis and Maria were very much appreciated. The place was healing and relaxing, everything you need to recharge your batteries. The closeness to richti gorge (3min) and Sitia (20min) was a plus.

Grand appartement, bien décoré, au calme avec une jolie vue et le soleil le matin pour le petit déjeuner. Tout est très propre et très récent. Dimitris nous a gentiment attendus pour nous guider et nous indiquer comment stationner devant l’appartement. Seul bémol si vous prévoyez de travailler (attention digital nomads): le wifi n’est pas assez robuste. Autrement nous avons adoré notre séjour.

Wir hatten eine unbeschreiblich schöne Zeit in der Windmühle. Der Ausblick und der Garten sind umwerfend. Alles ist mit soviel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Im Ort kann man sehr gut essen. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Wir sind glücklich, dass wir dort sein durften. Wer das Besondere sucht, dem kann diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen.

A rare find. Absolutely charming escape away from the noise and the crowds with beautiful views. A peaceful and immaculate retreat. Outside oven, BBQ adds to rustic feel on a pretty terrace. Wonderful host who left us a welcome pack with homemade treats and goodies. Also gave us maps and information about the area which was really helpful. Very comfortable and well equipped inside with everything you need. Bedrooms do have reduced height ceilings. A place to cherish and treat with the respect it deserves.
