My partner and I have been staying here at Diksha and her family’s homestay for a week - but extended for several afterwards as we have come to feel so at home. We have spent hours on the balcony with majestic views and enjoyed hiking near and around the village and forests. The connectivity of Cheog with Shimla is alright, if you wish to do daytrips. Also, the area feels safe for foreigners to stay. Diksha and her family have been amazing hosts for us, making sure we have felt at home and given us suggestions for cultural events and fairs happening in the area. Without their hospitality and help we would have never gotten these insights in the pahari local culture. The food that is being served here at homestay is delicious and very hygienic. (our foreigner stomachs are pretty sensitive and we have had no issues) We also got to try some of the local specialities. We wills surely come back as this now feels like our home away from home. We will miss Diksha and her sweet family!

We had a very beautiful vacation at The Himalayan Shire. It’s a dreamy place that put our minds and hearts at peace. The breathtaking view of the valley, a little garden to hand around and sulk that beauty in, local pahadi dogs, quick nature trails, this place has it all. I’d choose this place any day over Shimla or Kufri. Definitely coming back to explore more of Fagu. The chef and staff were also very welcoming and kind. The place is enough pet friendly for our dogs to have had a good time. The room was luxurious and cozy. It was worth every penny!

We had a fantastic stay at this boutique hotel! It’s perfectly located—peaceful and away from the crowds yet close enough to enjoy Shimla. The hosts, Atul and Garima, were warm, welcoming, and ensured every detail was taken care of. Their home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious and added to the homely charm. The property is beautifully designed with a modern, classy aesthetic—elegant yet subtle. The bathrooms had high-end fittings, and the dining area was perfectly curated, reflecting thoughtful craftsmanship. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. Waking up to fresh mountain air and serene views made our stay even more special. If you're looking for a peaceful yet luxurious retreat near Shimla, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended, and we would love to return!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Panita's homestay. Every corner of the house reflected thoughtful attention to detail, making it feel both welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. What stood out, however, was the peaceful atmosphere. Tucked away from the noise and bustle, the property offered a perfect spot for rest and relaxation. The staff, Mohan and Lakshmi were exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Panita and Manu are great hosts, very good in their communication and gave us some good local recommendations as well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent service.
