Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Chesterfield

One of the best AirBnB's I've ever been to! Very secluded and peaceful; large, convenient, and cozy. Lots of nearby areas to explore.

We stayed at Greg's yurt after numerous days of primitive camping at different locations around the park. This space was undeniably exactly what we needed. They had all the supplies we needed to not have to unpack the car again. The location is ideal for the region and we actually walked to Baxter mountain from the yurt then had a beer at the tavern at the bottom of the trailhead after summiting. The family of squirrels around the property are so personable and hilarious and we had a doe come and graze for dinner as we sat out on the porch for the evening. Being from Western North Carolina, it's been a hard year of survival for most of our communities after hurricane Helene leveled our mountain communities with some small towns completely gone. Our mountains and hearts continue to recover 9 months later while our lands are so vulnerable and many areas inaccessible and unsafe to traverse. Being in the ADKs at Greg's Yurt was refreshing and healing for us and we can't wait to come back!

We recently stayed at a delightful lake house in Plattsburgh to celebrate our son’s graduation from CUNY Plattsburgh. Our time there was truly special, as the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful lake views provided the perfect backdrop for our family gathering. The Boathouse was well-equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities that made our time relaxing and enjoyable. The peacefulness of the lake allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives and fully immerse ourselves in this joyous occasion. Overall, our stay was a wonderful blend of celebration and serenity. We are looking forward to returning to this lovely retreat in the future!

We loved our stay. It was beautiful and we loved being right by the lake as well as the sauna, fire pit, and outdoor seating. The house was cozy and the little kids toy closet was such a cute touch. We had an amazing time on our family vacation and would definitely recommend this rental. Ash was also so communicative and ready to help if we ever needed anything. So thankful!

Beautiful cabin in the woods that isn’t too far from anything but feels isolated just the same. Terrific base of operations to access many trailheads, Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Restful and low maintenance stay. We would recommend and visit again.

We had a very great vacation at this place. Near to the WhiteFace mountain, the house has many accommodations (dishwasher, washer and dryer…). It was perfect for our family.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Camp Moonshadow, where we met our daughter, who came over from Burlington to spend the weekend with us. It was a very easy ferry drive and short drive for her. It was exactly what we needed - quiet, comfortable and beautiful. We did the short hikes nearby and we cooked in all meals. Kitchen was an absolute joy to cook in - large and open and providing most of what we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit on one of the nights - roasting marshmallows and catching up. Coffee on the patio in the mornings was lovely. Bedrooms were comfortable, and bathrooms squeaky clean and expansive. Host Steven got back to me regarding a few hours early on checkin - much appreciated. This is a quiet neighborhood, and perfect for a restful respite.

Such a beautiful space and views. Very cozy and welcoming. Kitchen was amazing for such an intimate space, we were able to make several meals and weren’t missing a thing. Loved having the TV in the lower level so it was fun at night but not distracting during the day. Not a ton of amenities in town, so make sure to pack snacks and food for your trip. Will definitely come again.

I wish I could give Deb and Doug 1000 stars! The apartment was amazing, truly a home away from home! The kitchen was STOCKED with everything you would need from a waffle maker, pans, to coffee/tea, to eggs! Deb even made us homemade gingerbread cookies which were DELICIOUS. Two out of the four days that we stayed, we actually made breakfast and ate in the dining room! And saw hummingbirds out of the window!! The living room was super cozy and we made great use of the electric fireplace (The weather was still in the 50s when we went). It also had a very comfy sofa bed which I slept on while my parents took the bedroom. They said their bed was super comfy too! There was even a noise machine in the bedroom along with some fans (they really thought of everything!). The apartment was also incredibly quiet and private. And we honestly didn't even pay much mind to the low ceilings. We're all around 5'7" and we had absolutely no issues! We cant wait to visit again, we will definitely be back!

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

I really enjoyed the quiet, private porch. A Cup of coffee, while watching the birds and hearing the river nearby was quite relaxing. Great location for viewing the stars at night & long slow strolls on the country dirt road.

Every little detail about this quaint apartment suited us perfectly! We were in a beautiful space that fit my family of 4 very comfortably! After a 6 1/2 hour drive without stopping for food we were beyond excited and thankful to be greeted with a homemade loaf of sourdough bread and a basket full of treats! The space is perfectly appointed and pristine! We were just minutes away from our daughter whom we were visiting at UVM, and minutes from the lake, river and pond for my husband and son fishing enthusiasts! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations! The space is much larger than it looks in the photos, and it’s beautifully furnished with everything we needed—from comfortable furniture to a fully stocked kitchen. The location is also fantastic, just a short distance from the ski resort, making it super convenient. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Brian’s place in Jay, NY. The apartment was clean, cozy, and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with a big green backyard—perfect for relaxing. It’s just a short drive to Lake Placid, the covered bridge, and Whiteface Mountain, with great breakfast spots only 5 minutes away. Brian was a responsive and welcoming host, greeting us at check-in and making sure we had everything we needed. This was a perfect base for exploring the Adirondacks, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Jonathan was an amazing host! The place was so clean, comfortable, lots of extra towels/linens. The kitchen was well stocked and immaculate. Lots of space to spread out with our group of friends. The master bedroom had a crib which was nice for our 1 year old. The only thing was the area was a bit sketchy…my brother-in-law’s handicap van got shot with a pellet gun by some dumb teens driving by. Smashed his whole side window which was not great. Police came out and took a report. Unfortunately, that could happen anywhere but I did feel a little unsafe after that. But the house itself was nice. Huge backyard. Would stay here again! Just wouldn’t park on the street lol.

We had a wedding in the area and this was perfect for our trip. The house was spacious and clean. The hosts were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, rustic, and very peaceful. It’s tucked away in the woods which made it very private, with a large yard to wander around, a large beautiful deck, and fire pit. Great for stargazing. The bedrooms are huge and beds comfortable. We wandered off and did ausable chasm and another awesome hike, with tons of options nearby. Highly recommend.

We loved staying at Rebecca’s cabin! It was a gorgeous place to get away and decompress. We had a fire and roasted marshmallows every night. It was so relaxing to having my morning coffee with the sound of the stream in the background. Rebecca was extremely responsive and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back when we need another getaway in the mountains!

This was next level!!! Everything was immaculate and so well designed for a small space. We felt like we were sleeping in the woods without the mosquitos. There was only one problem. We only booked one night. That’s on me. It was a perfect experience

I only have great things to say about Christina’s place. The place was even better than the photos. As soon as I walked in, I remarked how cute it was. Christina communicated with me proactively and gave me a personal tour. She responded very promptly to communication and was lovely to talk to. Her place is serene and beautiful. I noticed a lot of thoughtful touches everywhere, including how the shower stall was built. (I 100% agree the shower head is amazing.) I enjoyed sitting by the brook and taking it all in. I was fortunate to have had the place to myself, but I cannot imagine there being any issues with another person or two there. Christina’s place was central to a lot of things I wanted to do in the area. I went on hikes and enjoyed delicious food. I would love to return this year.

We had a great stay overall! The location is peaceful and remote—perfect for a quiet getaway in the Adirondacks. Just a heads-up: cell service is very limited in the area, so make sure to set your GPS directions before you arrive. The house itself was in good order and matched the listing—clutter-free and comfortable. While it could have used a deeper clean, it was tidy and functional and accurate to the listing. The beds were especially excellent—super comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. Would recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. The host Daniel is excellent and a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and proactive, and it's clear he takes pride in his AirBnB business.

Michael’s place is absolutely gorgeous. Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we still felt very cozy and at home. When we got a little break in the weather we went to some nearby hikes and views with our dog who loved every bit of it. Would highly recommend a stay here.

I felt very safe knowing it was a gated RV park community. I loved the cabin as it was neat & clean. The owners and cleaning lady were friendly and pleasant to talk to. I hope to come back soon.
