A small rural village, Izaka Village, in the middle of Nagano Prefecture. I moved from Tokyo a few years ago to start a private lodging using independent separation from the main house. We will rent one building for one group per night. Pets are welcome. Meals are not provided, but cooking utensils are provided in the internal kitchen, so please bring only the ingredients and feel free to use them. There is a shower, but no hot tub. In addition, during the winter months from December to March, the shower room is closed for anti-freezing measures for the prevention of freezing. Please use the neighborhood hot spring facility. There are no toothbrushes, shaving, etc., so please bring your own bring your own. WiFi and parking is available. The main house next door is an old house built about 150 years ago.We are a couple renovated little by little. It's like baking something and drinking something in the hearth! We can also experience the old house, so please don't hesitate to contact us. We have two dogs and a cat team. If you are allergic, please be careful. The toilet is a hand-made flush toilet and composting toilet. On the premises, we don't use synthetic detergents, deodorants, or insecticides, etc.

It is easy to go towards Nagano. Mt. Nagamine, abandoned lines, Daio wasabi, swaths, etc. are close by. Please enjoy Azumino sightseeing There is a "Maekawa" flowing right in front of you, such as canoeing, rafting, sap, etc. There is a "Longmenbuchi Canoe Stadium" and you can walk there, so it is also a great place to practice. Old Meisho Town is a local town, not a downtown area. The neighborhood is not downtown, so there is nothing. In the living room with a wood stove, you can read or have tea while being wrapped in the warmth of the flame. There is a fire pit and pizza oven in the garden, so you can enjoy bonfires and handmade pizza. Outside the window is the seasonal scenery of "Bingushi no Sato Park". You can enjoy picnics and morning walks in the lawn plaza, as well as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. You can also bring your pets and walk with them in nature. We are an American-Japanese couple that are happy to share our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada with visitors curious about the Japanese countryside. You can relax wearing yukata robes in your private tatami mat rooms and enjoy the hot spring mineral baths rich in sulfur content. (The onsen baths are tattoo-friendly.) Our chef's creative kaiseki-style dinners are highly recommended.

It’s comfortable enough to stay with minimum facilities and it left the feature of the original building. (One group only for a day) You’ll enjoy to see an apple farm. *If you have small children who can sleep with you, you can make a reservation for 5 people.

KIRISIMIZU Guest House

“Maison d’hotes KIRISI MIZU”, is a Irimoya style (traditional Japanese house, similar to Temple) that has been beautifully restored from traditional materials and passed down from my grate-grand parents generation. The entire house is done in a classic style as used to be, except for a newly built kitchen, toilet and bathroom that provide all the necessities of modern life.
