Beachfront holiday rentals in Chippewa Bay

The cottage was great. Rustic with a lot of character and reminded me of St Lawrence and Finger Lakes vacations when I was a kid. We've stayed at a number of places on the river over the years and this was the first time upon arrival I turned to my wife and said..."Now THIS is a river cottage." It had everything you could ever want to just be at the river and enjoy yourself. Susan was a great host, gave detailed, easy, and clear instructions and was very responsive.

This is a quirky and quaint 19th century rental. We LOVED it! Expect the uneven floors, small retrofitted bathroom, steep stairs to upper floor, exposed stonework, mix of old and contemporary furniture, and updated with all the needed amenities including laundry, gas BBQ, wifi, etc. We had many home cooked meals as the kitchen had all the basics needed plus more. Major grocery stores are a quick drive. The stone wall back yard is beautiful and the garden bloomed during our 2 week stay. Excellent location, easy walking to historic Brockville sites and the St Lawrence waterfront. Scenic day trips in all directions. Next time we head to Brockville we will be checking out Sherri’s homes for our stay. She is a great host, highly responsive and helpful.

Wonderful week out on the river! Beautiful waterfront property, well taken care of, clean and modern inside cottage. Screened in porch was perfect for the cooler weather to snuggle up with a good book.

My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

Fantastic setting! The place was clean and very well equipped, we lacked nothing. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Wonderful clean lake and fun to explore with their kayaks. We found the indoor space a little tight (family of 5 adults), the rooms were small but comfortable. The outdoor space was phenomenal, lots of sitting areas, fire pits and we enjoyed the hot tub! It is not good for people with reduced mobility however. There are lots of stairs!

I was here for a fall visit so could not take full advantage of the wonderful lake location but would love to come back in the summer to fully enjoy this location. We did have the chance to go on an afternoon kayak which was great fun and absolutely beautiful with the fall foliage! The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans and utensils as well as a few spices. We cooked a lot and I brought all ingredients and condiments I needed and I would recommend you do the same. Shop before hand as there is not a grocery store nearby. The location is right across the street from a Circle K but the house is nestled far back from the road with a garage out front so the gas station and all it's buzz were not at all noticeable. The living room was arranged awkwardly and with some tired furniture and the TV is actually in the dining room. If you were a large group trying to watch a movie or gather in the living room this would be a bit challenging. The beds were extremely comfortable!

I can’t express how amazing this place was. There were signs made up all around the house to answer any questions you may have. I reached out to our hosts mid stay and got a response immediately. They even reached out to give us a heads up about possible power outages (we did not lose power). But I truly appreciated them reaching out as we were out at a wedding.

This unique house lives up to its name . Very quiet and peaceful place which even our furry family member loved, she had a lot of space to move around .

Our family had a great May long weekend in the Grand Chalet. The kids enjoyed all the amenities and it was a great place to spend the weekend. Kevin and Melissa go the extra mile to ensure your stay is complete with a nice bottle of wine and sparklers when we arrived. We hope to be back!

This was my second time starting at Serenity Bay Resort, and it just keeps getting better! These hosts keep the grounds so well maintained, there's so much for the kids to do, and the hottubs at the cottages are just a perfect touch! Always nice and clean and tidy, with everything needed for your stay. We will definitely be booking another getaway here!

The perfect place for a weekend get away. The photos dont do it justice. Quiet and peaceful to get away from the city life. The pool was amazing, and everything you could imagine needing was there. Very clean and comfortable. Wish I was there right now.

We stayed at this beautiful lakehouse over the May long weekend and had an amazing time! The home is spacious, stylish, and very well-equipped — exactly as described. The access to the lake was great, with equipment to kayak and paddleboard. There's tons of fun activities you can do with family and friends! The only downside was that the pool hadn’t been cleaned long enough in advance, so it wasn’t clear during our stay. We understand it can be tough to time with the seasonal transition, and Trish and her husband were very kind and responsive about it. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

We Stayed at the Lakeview Farmhouse April 11-13th .We were celebrating our daughters 16th birthday . We had lots of room , the beds were comfortable and most importantly our daughter and friends had a Great Time celebrating with her friends . Highly Recimmend Serenty Bay Resort .

Stayed over for the weekend. Had a great time with my kids. There was so much to do for the kids. Best way to kick off the summer! Definitely going to bring my family back next summer!

Staying at Jeremy’s was a breeze. He was super responsive to all questions and everything was just as described. It’s very peaceful by the lake and there’s lots to do nearby (would especially recommend Thousand Islands National Park!)

David and his wife were wonderful hosts. They were very flexible with our last minute booking. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage is well equipped,very clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, and using David’s kayaks and stand up boards. We had a lot of fun using the new outdoor cedar sauna. We also enjoyed some of the lawns games they had available. We did a day trip to Westport which is an easy half hour away. I would definitely go back, it’s a wonderful place to unwind. Thanks so much for having us.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at John’s place. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings made us feel completely relaxed and at ease. If you love nature, this is the perfect spot. The home is spacious, fully equipped, and had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back!

We were visiting family in New York and decided to stay at Renee&Desmond's place. The home was easy to find and had all the amenities mentioned in the description. The hosts included places to go around the town and restaurant recommendations. The only thing that I might have overlooked was that it was on the 2nd floor. Overall, it was a positive experience with beautiful views.

April, was a wonderful host. The cabin was clean, she was attentive and friendly without intruding on your space. They had a great information book and games to play with the children in the cabin. Highly recommend for a family getaway. If you book early you can get two cabins side by side for extended family/friends.

We had a great stay over Memorial Day weekend and it was just what we needed for our five kids and dog! Plenty of room, huge kitchen and outdoor grill area, cozy living room. The kids enjoyed going out on the pond/lake in the rowboat and strolling through the woods. We planned to have a fire and Dave even brought us some dry firewood. There was absolutely no cell reception, which was kind of nice, honestly. The WiFi was more than sufficient for entertainment and any connection that we needed. Linens WERE provided, contrary to the posted house rules, which saved me a lot of stress. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay with our family and four legged friends! Great location close to our family and easy travel to Elgin for food and Westport for shops and Brewery!
