Pros -Hidden gem in nature -Awesome food, Kanu ji can compete in master chef -Kanu ji and his family were so welcoming and friendly took really really good care of us -So get to experience actual pahadi tradition which is not blemished by anything -You can’t go to elsewhere, you are really just in a place(Can be con too depending on your preferences) Con -The trek path is not for everyone especially at night it can be risky. Was strenuous for my parents(who are senior citizens). I would ideally deduct 0.5 star for this, but because of hospitality, food and such a nice location went with full 5 stars :)

Dalip uncle’s home was a beautiful home away from home. The place was even beautiful than the pictures and was very peaceful. The hosts were extremely lovely and helpful. 10/10 for people looking out for a peaceful yet adventurous stay. Its just half an hour drive from jalori and 3 short hour drive from shimla. The roads are well connected and there are so many local hikes to explore Will be back not just for the beautiful place but for aunty k pahadi special siddu, evening tash sessions with uncle, fun banters with loi and local heritage tour with samar! ( and not to mention the doggos) Do connect them on (seven zero one eight nine zero five seven eight seven) for inquiries

Every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, always greeting us with a smile and attending to every little detail with genuine care. The property itself is a hidden gem — tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly cozy. Special thanks to the hosts (Pratish, Negi ji and his family) for their thoughtful touches — from the welcome basket to the personalized recommendations for local spots and activities. Our stay at the cottage in Shangargh was overall a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely stunning — peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery, and perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. The cottage itself was charming and cozy, and the hosts were warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. However, we did have one very concerning experience during our stay. One evening, an individual entered our cottage in a heavily intoxicated state and began shouting aggressively, repeatedly threatening to “call goons to fight.” This was extremely distressing, especially as I was traveling with my family. It made us feel unsafe in what was otherwise a serene environment.

Clean, homely, has all facilities considering the remote location. Food is yummy and wholesome. Neety and Sachin are cheerful and welcoming, you will have the most comfortable stay. Chehni Kothi itself is a quaint and beautiful village overlooking Jibhi and Tirthan valley. No problem with mobile network. 綺麗で静かなとこ。ゆっくりくつろげだ！
