It is situated in the traditional village of Lafkos, near the village square, which has two tavernas, a traditional coffee shop, two gift shops and a playground. Lafkos also has a third taverna off the square, a bakery, a butcher, two mini markets with fresh produce, and a cafe all within easy reach.

Horto is a small village an hour from the city of Volos and 10 min from Argalasti,the center of south Pelion.

The large city of Volos is only 45 km away, access by public transport or by private car. The village has a mini market and many options for food.
