Family-friendly holiday rentals in Chrani

An amazing castle like home over a very large olive gorge overlooking the ocean. Absolutely stunning scenery all around us. Home had all the amenities one would hope for and then some. Very large space for our family of 9. Pool and hot tub were a hit plus tons of games including foosball and ping ball. The upper deck was perfect for sunsets. And while we did not use they had this amazing wood fire BBQ and sitting area one could use. The location was great. We were basically on side of mountain in a secluded area but close enough to small villages and beaches. Lots of tavernas within 10 mins…4 tavernas within 1/4 mile (although 2 were closed due to slow season). Getting into Kalamata city center was about 25 mins and well worth it. Ann provided several suggestions on her Airbnb page. While there is taxi service i would highly recommend having your own vehicle Ann has a local host, Joanna, helping out and was super helpful and very responsive. Don’t hesitate to rent this place!

We had been travelling for 3 weeks and we arrived in Chrani, Peloponnese by bus very tired and looking for total relaxation for a good few days. We 100% achieved this. The view was stunning, the sea was flat like velvet and in the distance the beautiful mountains. The free umbrella’s & sun loungers on the beach a great add on & the peace and quiet was just what we needed. The sea is crystal clear & once in you don’t want to come out. The lady who cleaned was fabulous, changing sheets and towels/beach towels every 3 days, sweeping, changing bin bags & mopping everyday. She was truly a star. The other guests were people that have been coming to the same apartments for many years. Meeting friends they have met before. Very friendly, relaxed, chilled & highly recommend if you want to experience peace and quiet & beautiful scenery

Don’t hesitate to book, such a beautiful spot. The flat is elegant and even better than photos. The terrace looks out over the new town of Mystras and the stunning hill and ruins of old Mystras and around to Sparta. Easy to get there and visit sites by car. Old Mystras is fascinating ..visit early morning for the castle and go back later in the day to avoid the coach tours .. Sparta although modern is also well worth visiting ..especially restaurant En Hapti. To sit under the scented jasmine with great food . The flat is completely self contained, spacious enough for two couples and private, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Spyros is lovely and lives in the basement quietly and has a gorgeous dog called Roody. If in the area this is a truly magical place to stay. Thank you Spyros so much for sharing it.

Amazing house, super view from the balconies we took 1000 pictures! as clean as it could be! The host george and his relatives were super communicative and helpful! The location is nice but you have to own a car to tour for the beach or anywhere else! I definitely recommend it!

A wonderful house, spacious, comfortable, well equiped, off street parking for one car and with several lovely patios to enjoy the outside. We felt at home and happy at once. Restaurants and very relaxed beaches at easy walking distance, the nearest only at 20 mtrs. Kalamata did not really appeal to us but the erea, especially the charming villages along the coast to the east certainly did! Excellent contact with host Vasia, her happy childhood memories are not hard to imagine. Highly recommended!

Maria's house was very clean and welcoming. Everything worked very well. It is located in a beautiful area just outside the center, so you can park easily. For a couple with a car, I think it's a good fit!

Beautiful house made out of rock in the heart of Taygetos' mountain. The nature around it is amazing and there are many pathways if you want to explore the mountain. Pantelis was a great host and the whole experience was amazing.

This place is a hidden gem. Just a few meters away from the sea in a beautiful and quiet spot where you can relax and enjoy all the perks of the city of Kalamata. The house is perfect for a 4 member family and its proximity to the beach makes it ideal for families with small children. It is a beautiful clean and cozy cottage with hosts who really care and want you to enjoy your staying there. The little details make this place exceptional. Thank you so much!

Words can't describe this place and Dia our hostess. Before we got there, Dia went above and beyond to help us with our plans, both on our travel there and during our stay. From the minute we stepped in we felt right at home. Everything you need is there and the surroundings are simply magnificent. From the view from the apartment to the private beach below. It was everything we could ask for. A true paradise we would like to keep to ourselves for future trips.. and of course Dia who made our vacation even more enjoyable and made sure we have everything we need. Thank you Dia!

We had an amazing stay. We had the ground floor apartment of a three storey property where Stathis family resides- even though this was the case, we had our own privacy to the grounds and the pool. The family were extremely lovely and we hardly saw them. The property was spotless and the grounds were extremely beautiful and peaceful with the fruit and herb trees surrounding the property. The kids had a great time in the pool. We loved our stay and we loved Kalamata!

We had a fabulous few days at the end of our road trip, a great place to relax. The location is fantastic, just a short walk away from the tavernas and shops. The apartment contained everything you could need including the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The pool was warm, situated in a lovely well kept garden with beautiful lighting at night. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived and it was great knowing that Eleni was close by in case we needed anything - but we didn’t! Highly recommended. Greece at its best ❤️🇬🇷

We enjoyed the beautiful house of Frasier very much. The house is clean and has everything you would want. The area is beautiful and quiet. The nearby village is nice, with friendly people and good food.

Really value for money, a sea view swimming pool with a balcony. Convenient store close by. Beautiful sceneries around. Anastasia is very helpful. Had Stayed for three nights, Sure I will come back if I visit Peloponnese again.

Thank you so much, Bernadette and Rod, for great hosting! The experience was beyond all our expectations! The cabin is very clean and equipped with everything you need and beyond. The place is kid-friendly, Bernadette provides some toys games, and movies for the kids, as well as great sea wheels, to enjoy within the pool. The pool is clean and access to it is not easy for toddlers so it is safe. The view is stunning. From one side you get to see the mountains while from the other side you can see the sea. The cabin is in a rural and secluded place so it's just your quiet and great nature. The hosts give self-produced olive oil that upgrades every meal and salad you make. In addition, there are grapes growing up in the yard you can pick and eat. Bernadette and Rod are super nice and friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

Great accommodation, clean and fully equipped. The pool was terrible. We'll definitely visit it again!
