Cherish time with loved ones. Hike along the creek, woodlands and fields. Enjoy the plentiful birds and wildlife. Bring your bike in the summer, and snow shoes in the winter. Cozy up to the wood stove with a hot beverage. Work remotely with our high speed WiFi. We welcome up to two dogs for an additional fee.

The Wissahickon Inn - The Cozy Cabin In The Woods

You'll love our cabin in the woods! Once a historic mercantile, the Wissahickon Cabin has been transformed into a cozy cabin for 2 - 4 guests. The cabin is situated in the forest and visible from the Gandy Dancer Trail. The front porch boasts an access path directly to the popular Woolly Bike Trail. Our cabin is secluded in the woods, but it's less than a 5-minute drive to downtown St Croix Falls, Interstate Park, dining, shopping, and entertainment. Enjoy a peaceful getaway in the north woods!

Experience our newly-built eco-friendly tiny home perched right on the edge of the ridge above the majestic St Croix River Valley. Enjoy expansive views from the deck, the loft or the many windows looking out over the valley. Enjoy our private electric barrel-sauna, fire-pit, gas grill, pond with canoes and kayak, Wolf Creek with swimming hole or just chill on the ridge watching the many birds and wildlife. Wood River Retreat: Private Cabin Above the River

Extremely private wooded getaway nestled deep in the woods overlooking the Wood River, about an hour drive from the Twin Cities & 1.5 miles from the St Croix River. With many modern touches, it's still very much a cabin. Relax on the wood deck on top of the ravine or in the large screen porch. Get cozy by the wood-stove, the new sauna, fire-pit or swim in the river. Enjoy total seclusion or visit many local restaurants & parks with great hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, and skiing.

Nordic Lake Cabin : Sauna/Hot Tub/Pontoon Rental

We finished building this modern Scandinavian cabin in spring 2020. It’s been featured in Vogue and on Magnolia Network. The cabin sits at the end of the road on a private lot with a perfect view of sunsets over the nature side of the lake. Drive past farm fields, into the woods, and onto our private gravel road, arriving at the driveway. Watch loons, tundra swans, eagles, beavers and deer while you relax by the lake. Pontoon boat rental is available as an add on! Pets welcome for a $90 fee!

The Writers Cabin (Sauna/hot tub/river access)

Welcome to the writers cabin at wilder retreat on the saint Croix river. This place is for the dreamers, the star gazers, those craving the healing power of nature. The writers cabin is well appointed and designed for beauty and comfort. Enjoy access to the river as well as our wood fired sauna and wood fired hot tub. Equipped with a queen sized bed in the loft, cooktop, solar, and a pump sink. A gas fireplace keeps you warm in the winter. We invite you to come and rest, and leave restored.

The Stable is one of several live/work studios on a property that hosts artists in retreat and those seeking time for spiritual sustenance and personal reflection. We also enjoy hosting tourists who align with our mission. This 20x25 studio has an electric stove, fridge, container water, and a piano! It's served by a privy just a few steps from the door. Our community thrives on healthy wholistic living. Residents and guests agree to remain alcohol and drug free during their stay.

25 minutes from Menomonie (UW-Stout), 45 minutes to Eau Claire, 1 hr 15 minutes to MN. Kamshire Valley's Main Cabin offers an abundance of wildlife viewing, an inviting large brick patio and firepit, miles of trails for snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Has 1 bedroom with Queen bed; If you need more rooms we have 2 additional rustic cabins (air, heat-no bathroom) that are available for additional $50/ cabin/night. The best nature has to offer, bring your camera!
