Beautiful north woods setting with a quiet stream in back. A quiet secluded place where you won’t see your neighbors while having a coffee on the front or back porch. We have a canoe you are welcome to use to explore the river. It leads to Watersmeet lake which is part of the Eagle River Chain of Lakes. Excellent fishing. Easy access to snowmobile trails in the winter ride direct on sleds from the property to the trails. Only a few minutes to town but it seems like you’re in the Boundary Waters.

Relaxing is also a part of renewal so on-site activities and the surrounding communities offer plenty of recreation and tourism opportunities. Marmutt Woods is a place to step out of daily distractions to relax and refocus. Even if you are here primarily for some other reason, we hope you'll take advantage of the quiet time and provided materials.

Take it easy and disconnect at the beautifully serene Bluebird House right in the forest on Rice Creek. The view from the porch over the river is magnificent any time of the year. Boating, fishing, hiking, biking, ATV, and snowmobile trails are all close by. Bring your pontoon or small boat (or use our row boat or kayak) and within minutes down the creek, the entire Eagle River Chain is at your fingertips. The Bluebird House is a place to relax, and enjoy the beauty of the river and woods.

Cabin is only 2 miles from downtown Eagle River and within walking distance to Sweetwater Bar and Grill and Kickback Grill. There are two public boat landings and Eagle Lake Park within 1.5 miles and is also located on the snowmobile and atv/ utv trail.
