The Orchard Studio.

Our newly renovated Studio has been a joy to create and we are excited to finally share this space with you. It is a private small Studio nestled in behind large 80 yr old Californian Redwood and Atlas Cedar trees looking out onto an organic avocado orchard and expansive gardens. It is a private studio on an orchard but handy to cafes , restaurants and shopping centers, right beside busy Pyes Pa Road. The Cedar Treehouse is a warm & cozy, unique rustic treehouse perched between 2 majestic Redwood trees. A small but simple self contained area houses a new luxurious cedar lined bathroom with hot shower & flushing toilet & kitchenette. A bespoke handmade ships ladder takes you to a cosy queen size bed tucked up in the loft with views of the surrounding gardens & branches of the trees. The exterior cladding, floor & furniture are all hand built from timber locally sourced & milled

We welcome you to our home, which has views of the ocean and farmland. The guest area is located on the ground floor. Only a 10 minute stroll into the township of Whakatane, and five minute drive to Ohope Beach, voted one of the safest surf beaches in NZ. The entrance to the famous Nga Tapuwai O Toi walking track is only 2 minutes from our home. If you are into astronomy, the Whakatane Observatory is steps away from our property, open to the public Tuesday and Friday evenings.
