Welcome to the Bird's Nest, a second story apartment in Cold Spring NY. The apartment is the best of both worlds, the back of the house is next to the Hudson Highlands State Park (a trail head is right across the street) and the front of the house is on Main Street (a 10 minute walk to the historic Cold Spring strip). There is off the street parking and the metro north train stop is a 20 minute walk (uphill from the train).
“What a gem! This is our favorite AirBNB in the area. The space is sooooo beautiful (and sparkling clean!) but what makes it extra special is Matt’s and Ginny’s hospitality and thoughtful touches. They were kind and accommodating, and even left us a hand-written welcome note. We would love to be back!”
Classic early 20th Century chic house located in the heart of Cold Spring Village steps away from everything (10 min. walk from Cold Spring Metro North Station, 5 min. walk from Main St shops and close to area hiking trails). Two tastefully decorated rooms with eclectic touches and great views of Hudson Highlands. We have 2 very friendly dogs and also dog friendly house if you bring your own pup! One of us is usually around to help with directions or anything else needed during your stay
“I came in from the city on the Metro North Railroad, and John’s place is about a 10-15min walk from the Cold Spring station. They were incredibly accommodating and allowed me to check in early and drop my bag before going out on a hike. I was welcomed by their two adorable dogs, and my own dog was able to join them for a quick runaround in their fenced-in backyard. John was very helpful in advising my hiking route, as the trail starts just up the road from their house. Once I returned from my hike, I was able to settle in to the CUTEST room and make use of the small tea/coffee station provided. The bathroom is simple, but the soaps in the shower were exactly what I needed after a day in the woods. There are many shops and restaurants within about a 10 minute walking distance, where I was able to pick up some delicious dinner. I didn’t even plan on watching TV at John’s place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they had B1G network on the room’s TV, and I watched the Michigan vs. Rutgers basketball game before heading to bed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room’s radiators headed up quite nicely to make for a cozy night. I’m so thankful John recommended Hudson Hil’s for brunch. They have a covered patio with heaters, and they were able to accommodate me and my dog (even in February!) for a perfect brunch before I headed back down to NYC. I would absolutely stay at John’s again in the future. It was the perfect escape from the city that I needed!”

“Erika's suite is now our favorite city getaway in Cold Spring! Perfect for two people and couldn't be more convenient to the Metro North station and everything the town has to offer. There were many thoughtful little touches throughout that made it extra special - we especially appreciated the white noise machine and amazing memory foam mattress, both of which made getting out of bed nearly impossible. =) You won't regret a stay here and will want to come back again and again.”
