Holiday rentals with beach access in County Down

This is a great place, especially if you have children. It is a second-story apartment, but it looks like there is a spot for a baby gate for safety around the steps. My children liked the bunk beds and cute chair in their room. The cover photo for the apartment is a bit confusing, though, because it wasn't taken at the listing location. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal including baking sheets and a pizza pan. Additionally, there were numerous groceries/food essentials in the kitchen as well as all the bath products you need in the bathroom. They even provide wash cloths (the only time wash cloths were provided on our entire trip). Children's games & toys, a Pack & Play, and even a baby bathtub are provided. It is a spacious apartment, and the host is a very talented artist. Check out the artwork on the walls.

Just back from our stay the apartment was spotless and had everything you could need and more. It was easy to find and clear instructions for access. Walking into the apartment it was so homely and warm and the view was amazing. The beds were lovely and comfortable. We had 2 dogs with us and the outside patio and grass area were so handy and closed in. The apartment is so handy for nearby amenities shop , coffee shops etc. We couldn't fault the apartment and John's gift of wheaten bread was appreciated. We would definitely return and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We had such a lovely weekend at Roseanne’s place, we felt right at home and the view from the balcony was stunning ! Fantastic communication from Roseanne and the house had everything you could need. We can’t wait to plan another trip up !

We stayed around a month in this beautiful apartment and I can confidently say that it was easily my favourite experience with an Airbnb. It is a beautiful furnished apartment set in the heart of Donaghadee. It is very apparent that the owner has taken great care with renovations to create a welcoming space that is cozy, vibrant and very functional. It was especially lovely to have access to a kitchen filled with a complete, sharp knife set, and well-kept pots and pans - such a rarity with AirBnB properties. The location is incredible - very close to the intersection of the main and high streets and walking distance to just about everything you need in Donaghadee (restaurants, the esplanade playground and walking path, grocery store, a gorgeous pub). If it was available, I would have booked in for another month. Thank-you Martin and company, your place helped this family of Australian immigrants fall in love with Donaghadee!

Sam is a tremendous host and this property was perfect for my needs. When Sam learned i need some “office space” he offered to adjust the room and bring in a lovely desk chair. The space was bright, easy to access and every interaction (written or verbal) was easy, clear and pleasant. I will be recommending this property to friends and family staying in the area!

The apartment was very clean & comfortable. With the cot and high chair was very easy to look after our baby boy. Steve was very friendly and responsive. We would love to come back.

Cosy with a great view with great access to the town

I’ve stayed here several times and it is a wonderfully beautiful place. We had a wonderful stay. A thin space in the Celtic tradition. What a wonderful experience with lots of nature passing by the cottage.

We had a lovely stay at Alex and Danny’s place with such a friendly welcome from the hosts. The location is beautiful, such a treat to wake up to and the cottage has everything you could need. Strangford isn’t far away and has some nice spots to eat and drink. Would definitely return. Thank you x

This is the 3rd time that we’ve been lucky enough to stay in Seaglass cottage, it’s perfect. The location couldn’t be better, the cottage is spotless, comfy & welcoming, with everything you could possibly need(& more) for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Donaghadee is a beautiful town with plenty of shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants,& is central to make easy visiting of all the many other beautiful & interesting places in Northern Ireland. Fiona & Jilly are great hosts, friendly & knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble for them. We look forward to our next visit to this lovely cottage next year.

Lesley and Lewis were awesome hosts beginning with our reservation request. They worked with us every step of the journey and were fundamental in the success of our stay. The location was well situated to reach everywhere along the peninsula and up the coast. It was also strolling distance to more eateries and pubs than I had a chance to try in the week. An easy fire set the stage for relaxing and restful nights. This is a definite return destination.

Great stay at Helen's place in the heart of Newcastle. She was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely visit again.

The views were unbelievable! The gorse was in full bloom and surrounded us on all sides. We could see a wisp of the sea from our rooms along with the forest and hills. The little sheep behind us were an added perk as they came to drink from their trough every day with their lambs. We felt private and secluded and it was peaceful and restful. Loved, loved loved this location.

I think the photos don't do this house justice - it was better than I expected! Clean, comfortable beds, spacious. And Coney Island is always wonderful!

Amazing accomodation, lovely house with two sitting areas (perfect if you come with kids), all was exactly as described. Prime location, town and the beach are within walking distance, plenty to do in the sourrounding nature.

Mark’s apartment is very comfortable, quiet and has a lovely sea view. Highly recommend staying here. Mark also has a great selection of signed posters from well known TV and movie stars. He has a great selection of books and DVDs if you’re chilling out. The apartment is centrally located and close to many hotels, pubs and restaurants.

I took my parents for 2 days. The pictures do not do it justice best view of any Air B and B i have stayed at. We will be going again. Loved walking put to sea and Mountain views in both bedrooms. Mum and dad slept perfectly. Kind touches left for us like plenty of food and a personalised note. Really Really loved it Highly recommend it.

David was indeed a 10 Star host. I have stayed in many airbnb locations before and he is one of the most attentive host. He is living in the property and is ever ready to share local experiences and help us navigate the car out from his home. Besides, his home is very well stocked. Full kitchen equipment with butter and herbs and spices provided, a range of beverage from wine to tea to coffee, toiletries and super clean towel. It really feel like a home away from home. I would highly recommend it (unless you have issue climbing stairs or too heavy luggages).

Beautiful modern apartment in the most stunning location. Right on the beach and so many restaurants, cafes and beautiful walks on the doorstep. Rodney was a pleasure to deal with. Apartment is very modern and clean and of a high spec. Would absolutely recommend this apartment, what you see in photos is exactly what you are getting. Would love to return.

The apartment was spotless and comfortable the host left us treats and milk,bread, butter & cheese, the bed was very comfortable and bathroom spotless, it’s a lovely place to stay, don’t be put off by the staircase it is solid and easy to climb and I have slight mobility problems but managed it with ease, the area is stunning and peaceful loved our week and will be back
