Casa Carmona, a Mid-City Garden Oasis near Museums

Casa Carmona is a little oasis in the big city. It's convenient to just about anywhere you would want to visit while in Los Angeles. Private entrance allows you to come and go as you please. Very diverse selection of restaurants and there is a 7-11 as well as a small grocery store (that delivers) less than a block away if you would rather eat in. Laundromat and dry cleaners are one block away which is helpful for longer stays. Street parking is available. Convenient to public transportation. Full access to the guest house and the backyard area including lounge chairs and dining table. I live in the adjacent house so am able to offer help during guest's stay. I love meeting my guests from all over the world but respect your privacy and comfort! Casa Carmona sits behind a charming Spanish house in Wilshire Vista, a neighborhood created in the 1920s. This is a diverse and safe area, within walking distance of Museum Row and the Grove. Plenty of free parking is available. Approximately half my guests rent a car and there is unrestricted street parking available except for street cleaning on Tuesday afternoons. The other half of my guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes. There is plentiful public transportation within walking distance. One bus stop is less than a block away on one major street and another the opposite direction a block and a half from the house. There is also a Zip Car location less than a block away. The main bed is full size. The pullout sofa is twin bed. There is a small fridge/freezer, microwave oven, 2 burner electric cooktop, and George Forman grill for cooking. Also have a Keurig for coffee and electric tea kettle and assortment of teas. There is a end table that is gate-leg so can be used for in-room dining. Folding chairs in closet as well as extra folding table in closet. Hair dryer in bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Two luggage racks. Iron is provided. I also provide a beach blanket, tote and towels for excursions to the beach. For relaxation time at the Casa there are plentiful entertainment options including Amazon Echo, TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, many movies, PlayStation and several board games with even more available upon request!

The open-plan suite is roomy and airy, with plenty of natural light and room for 4 guests. Covid-19 enhanced cleaning protocol has been implemented. A large suite with large bathroom and large closet, fire place, hardwood floors and tons of bright light located on the ground floor of the main house with private entrance, breakfast/dining area that seats four and sitting area for watching TV. Queen size pillow top bed and a queen size Sofa-Bed with Air Mattress pillow top. The unit includes large counter kitchen with mini refrigerator, KEURIG coffeemaker, microwave, Hot-plate and fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. The house has central Air condition/heater, free Wifi, 50” wall mounted TV with DirecTV, Apple-TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Easy access from the side of the house, through a very spacious well-lit walkway with outside sitting area and private keyless entrance (code provided by owner). Located on the westside of LA, Cheviot Hills is a quiet, centrally located neighborhood close to Century City, Beverly Hills, Westwood, and Culver City. Within walking distance to the Metro, for easy access to Santa Monica, Venice, USC, UCLA, and Downtown. Located within walking distance (1 mile) to Fox Studios and Metro Expo line for a quick ride to Downtown LA, USC and Santa Monica. • We have two adult dogs and occasional barking may occur.

love , love , loved everything about this location and the hospitality was beyond what I expected. Kimberly was amazing from check-in to check out. she was warm and inviting her energy is A1 which made my stay feel like just another day at a family members house. We talked anytime we crossed paths and it was just so easy and friendly. I definitely would recommend without hesitation to anyone visiting the area as well as anytime im in the city I know where'd I go.

Marlon and Jonathan are genuinely kind and attentive hosts who clearly put care into everything they do. The space itself is clean, comfortable, and has a peaceful, homey feel. Their dog is super cute and derpy and loves pets, and the toddler and baby girl bring a joyful energy to the place. There’s also a long-term tenant on the property — a sweet and gentle grandmother. She's wonderful. It felt like being at home with my own family. I’m grateful for the experience and would happily recommend staying here to anyone looking for a kind-hearted, welcoming environment. Good soundproofing. I never once heard the baby while in my room. The location is also good. Quiet neighborhood, feels quite safe. It's a 5-min walk to the bus stop at Culver and Centinela, and about 15 minutes walk the other direction to a lovely park that includes tennis courts, basketball court, and a dog park where you can go and play with the puppies.

Randy was the best host we could ever wish for. We shared the appreciation for good coffee, Randy was always helping out with great suggestions and also took us out for breakfast. He was available all the time, if there were any questions we could text him and the answer would be there a few minutes later. All in all it was a pleasure to stay at Randy's beautiful home, we'd definitely recommend it :)

Had a great stay, good location and amenities. Leonardo was great and answered all of our questions. The AC unit did go out on us a few times. He provides instructions on how to reset the breaker box, but it was a little inconvenient. Other than that, the stay was great, the house was very clean and we will be back again.

I greatly enjoyed my four-night stay at Rona's place. I was attending a film festival over the Labor Day weekend in Beverly Hills, and the apartment building where Rona lives was only a short distance from the theater that was the festival's venue. As seen by the picture that she posted, the bedroom is large, spacious, and well-ventilated by windows on the south and east sides. The bed is queen size. The building is on a quiet street where there is minimal traffic noise. The bathroom is very clean with a large bathtub/shower and sliding door. There is a small refrigerator in the bedroom, which was very convenient for me, as I brought things to have for breakfast. I found the price for this bedroom to be most reasonable, compared to other listings for Beverly Hills.
