Cottage holiday rentals in Cumberland County

This was perfect for me, my daughters and granddaughter!! It was close to so many things and to Old Orchard Beach and the Pier. We had a great time there and would stay there again in a heartbeat!! Thank you!

Perfect for what we needed for a weekend getaway. So peaceful and a lot of interesting wildlife. We saw so many different types of birds! The hot tub is spacious and easy to use.

A great house and location right on the water. We arrived well after dark, Tom came and met us at the property to make sure we got situated. Plenty of room for a family of four and more. We enjoyed the boats and fishing and hiking in the area. The game room was nice to have on a rainy day. The kitchen has everything you need. Really enjoyed our long weekend here.

A great spot tucked away!! House was cute and as shown in the pictures, is right on the water and has some great views! It rained the majority of the time we were there so didn’t get to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities, but would have if better weather! Host was very friendly, communicative and responsive!

We cannot say enough good things about this place. We just felt so comfortable and "at home" here. The only things that we had to overcome were having only one bathroom (and it was on the bottom floor, whereas the two bedrooms with more than a twin bed were on the 2nd floor), and the narrow treads on the steps going up to the 2nd floor. I was afraid I would fall down them more than once. But none of these things detracts much from the overall value and feel of the property. And they are certainly not the host's fault. We managed just fine. The small things were what set this place apart from others we've stayed at. Lots of little details are added to make the overall stay more comfortable. I won't list them all here; you just need to see it to believe it. We will most definitely stay here (if it's available) on our next trip to Windham!

Elizabeth was a wonderful host and her home is perfect for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The house was spotless, well appointed, and very cozy. The short walk to the beach and town market is really convenient. Her rental is a perfect home base if you’re visiting Portland or exploring the Maine coast nearby.

The hosts are amazing! Very helpful and responsive. Unfortunately we were not there on vacation displaced from our home for 2 months. It was welcoming and once settled in felt like home, it was a little strange to leave lol - If I needed anything the host were available and willing to help. I wish this displacement was during summer months! Thank you Brad and Colleen

The Broken Compass is the perfect little get away! We loved sitting down by the fire pit and having our meals on the great screened in porch out front. The beds were comfortable, the home is well decorated and free of clutter, and they had everything we needed to cook 3 meals a day. Had a slight issue at check in, but John was super responsive and proactive in helping us out and the rest of the trip was excellent. We absolutely will come back!

the stay was nice, the place was clean, match the description, pretty easy to find, and Christine had great communication. very beautiful views, right on the water, kayaking was nice.

Our stay at Joel's was just what we wanted! Quiet and isolated, but only a few minutes from town. My dog loved it - there are trails behind the house! Everything was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I do have one suggestion - it would be helpful to have something - some kind of little stand next to the sink in the bathroom - to put toiletries on. I used the window sill. Also, a hook to hang a hand towel on would be nice. But really, our experience was great!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Debbie’s cabin. The interior is tidy, simply furnished and decorated with Debbie’s nice paintings. The heater worked well, but it was a little noisy. Luckily we didn’t need it through the night, so we were able to enjoy the peace and calm of the quiet lakeside location. Nothing like waking up to the view of that pristine lake. Some mornings it was so still it reflected the trees. We loved that. Water pressure was a little touch and go, but overall not a problem.

Christopher’s cottage is amazing! Me and my boyfriend went for the weekend during peak fall, and the views were amazing! It was super peaceful and exactly what we were looking for! Christopher was also very responsive and gave clear instructions. Would love to come back!

This was my second time staying at the cottage, and I’m looking forward to going back .

Clean, cozy home just a walk to Pine Point Beach. Highly recommend.

This cozy cottage in Naples was a great place to stay over the winter holiday with the kids and extended family. We hit the nearby slopes and restaurants. Wonderful host and property. Kids enjoyed their private space with own tv.

We came here to visit the southern part of Maine. Clearly this location is one of the best airbnb we’ve been at. House is lovely and is even better in reality than on the pictures. Everything was super clean and tidy with all you would ever need for your stay. We came here with our 3 kids and they had a lovely time thanks to all the toys, books and board games at disposal. Place is quiet and very nice during fall season so great for a peaceful time away from the city. Didn’t get the chance the practice the canoe by lack of time but it was very tempting. We will be definitely be back!

The Loon's Nest exceeded our expectations. The cottage is in a beautiful setting on a peaceful lake. It is well appointed inside and out so that you have everything you need for an amazing lakefront getaway.

We stayed over Thanksgiving. The place was just what I wanted. Big TV and fireplace. Since it was the holiday and I would be cooking I brought some pots and pans to make sure I would have what I needed. And they were needed as the kitchen is geared more toward outdoor summer meals and not cooking much inside. It was fine for the two of us in the winter. It is just as described - a log cabin, but nicely furnished.

Better than we ever could’ve imagined! We stayed for 2 nights in October: the cabin was perfect, the lake was beautiful, and they had provided everything we could’ve possibly needed in terms of amenities. Highly recommend lighting up a fire in the fireplace and taking a quiet evening to watch the sunset over the lake from the comfy living room couch! We will definitely be back.
