Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Cumberland County

My friends and I made a road trip to Maine and spent the week in this adorable home. The place was clean, peaceful, and comfortable. We enjoyed the scenery and made a few memories in our home away from home. Brad was super responsive and very helpful with our stay, making the experience top tier. We loved having a little peace away from the city and would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Portland/Yarmouth! Hope to visit again someday!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Emma's place. I came both times for a workshop and ceremony that took place in both Freeport and in Portland. Drives to Portland were the longest, and not too taking, and I chose to stay at Emma's place BECAUSE of the way the house holds me: the spaciousness, the attention to art and wisdom, the lighting and unfussy-yet-design-inspired furniture choices, the plant life, the textures and colors: all these things are soothing and welcoming. It was a pleasure to drive "home" exhausted, knowing what it feels like to open that back door.

It's a beautiful, little house, perfect for our needs. Great view from the backyard over the water. Being close to Rt 1 made all of the places we wanted to visit very accessible. The binder with places to eat and their menus made things much easier. When visiting the Bath area we would certainly stay here again!

We had a lovely long weekend stay at this house. The home is close to attractions and restaurants. It was also clean, as described, good functioning air conditioning, and stocked with some niceties , which included a tub of K-cups. The host was very helpful and response.

We loved staying at Christine’s place! It was perfect for a few days with us and our dog. He also enjoyed the space. The location was amazing, and we walked many places. We also were able to use the backyard for our dogs potty breaks!

The property was beautiful! The furniture was comfy. We absolutely loved the beds. (so much we are considering buying a new mattress) The lake was great. My daughter loved getting on the lake. (just bring your bug spray!) The air conditioning unit was amazing! We would love to stay here again!

This cottage is perfect for Sebago if you own a boat. She has everything you could need for a stay on the water. I would love to stay here again this year.

The absolute perfect weekend for my birthday party! Plenty of space to sleep everyone and gorgeous, well stocked kitchen. Huge backyard for lawn games and grilling. The ping pong table in the basement was a bonus! Close to the lake but situated in a private oasis with large deck to watch the many chipmunks scurrying around. Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed for 2 nights in June, and we all wished we could have stayed longer. This house was perfect for 6 adults and 1 toddler as well as our 2 dogs. The house is absolutely beautiful, modern updated and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen and living room were a nice gathering area for us. We found the bedrooms comfortable and very peaceful for a good night sleep. The pool and outside was our favorite. The pool was perfect, clean & warm. We loved that it had a shelf that our toddler granddaughter could sit on and splash around. We didn't get to the fire pit, but that area was very nice as well. We had a great time, and we are hoping to get back again next year. We highly recommend this home and the host who was always easy to communicate with and highly responsive.

Suman was extremely responsive and helpful. She was flexible with check in time, as our flight was arriving early. She was responsive throughout the stay when we had any questions. Our departure flight got delayed, and she allowed us to stay longer. Amazing home, spacious and well maintained, neat and clean. Thanks Suman. Really appreciate everything. Would love to stay here again when we are in Maine.

We would 100% recommend Dina’s place to ANYONE (and we hope to be back)! The place is beautiful and would accommodate a small to large family. The pool and hot tub are incredibly nice and peaceful surrounded by trees. The furniture is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen great to use. Dina is also incredibly thoughtful and quick with her replies. We got a little turned around arriving at night (the GPS lead us up the road a bit), but we found it!

The house was spotless and centrally located for what we wanted to do in southern Maine. It was well stocked with quality toilet paper, napkins and Kleenex. We had plenty of towels for the hot tub and pool. It is updated and well taken care of. The hosts were extremely helpful and we didn’t see them at all, so the place felt very private. This was an amazing house and our kids had so much fun in the pool and playing corn hole on the large deck. Would recommend this house for families and couples in a heartbeat!

I had a wonderful stay., they were fantastic in accommodations for me and my service dog who loved the yard. The home is beautiful and the host was very accommodating. communication was great. I look forward to staying there when I’m in that area again.

We’ve been traveling throughout New England—staying in various places across Boston, Vermont, and Maine—and while many stays fell short of expectations, Susan’s home was the absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was different. The photos were spot-on and accurately reflected the charm and layout of the home, which is a rare find. Everything was immaculately clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and every room was thoughtfully set up with a TV and little touches that made it feel like a true retreat. There were so many helpful resources throughout the home, making it incredibly easy to settle in and feel comfortable. It was truly the escape we needed to recharge and end our trip on a high note. If I could give Susan 10 stars, I absolutely would. She made the last leg of our New England journey the best part by far. Highly recommend!

Christina’s place is awesome! Cozy, centrally located on the island, and stocked with everything you need for a great stay. We were very comfortable! Loved the afternoon sun on the back deck and having a fire pit out front in the evening. A bonus that it’s dog friendly! Christina was very responsive and helpful. We hope to be back again!

Really lovely air bnb, clean, and had the most adorable golden retriever as a neighbor! Loved the dog run for my pups. And loved how pet friendly this place is! It’s so hard to find a place who also love dogs!

We just loved Rose Marie’s generosity. We had been driving most of the day and needed a little something to eat as we arrived around 7:30pm and we didn’t want to go out again. She offers a number of snacks which was just perfect. We were so thankful. We also loved that we were surrounded by the things that are important to Rose Marie. It gave the Airbnb personality. The bed and furniture were very comfortable and cozy. We could hear walking upstairs as others have mentioned but from her well-marked pictures we figured that would be the case. We had two little negatives. First was the dog hair that accumulated on our socks but Rose Marie clearly shows dogs in her pictures. Second was the air fresheners which gives us headaches. We were able to disengage them during our stay.

Perfect spot to stay for visit to Bowdoin. Beautiful town. Quiet, safe, scenic. Lovely home. Perfect for family of 4 or 5! (More if you have Littles!) Highly recommended. Hopefully we have great reason to stay again, soon!

First time renting on Airbnb, it couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. The cozy cabin on the cliffs of Maine was beyond anything I could’ve imagined. Stephanie & Heather thought of everything; welcome snacks, dog treats, water, things to do,etc. They even had binoculars, we used on a bald eagle diving into water. Being able to use their kayaks (no charge), made packing & planning much easier. The peaceful surroundings & natural beauty made it easy to disconnect & relax. We saw so many jellyfish in the ocean and they were beautiful! On check-out morn, Stephanie messaged us to say we stay later in day because no one was checking in today, it was the nicest day. That extra time meant everything, we ended up leaving around 4pm with no extra charge. The level of kindness & hospitality is rare & so appreciated. This stay was absolutely unforgettable, we will 100% be coming back. Thank you, Stephanie & Heather, for creating such a peaceful, thoughtful, & welcoming escape.

We had a great stay at the Barn'acle! Julia's home is located just a short walk from many great restaurants, cafes, and shops, as well as a quick drive from Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park and several other attractions. The space has recently been renovated and was very clean. We would love to stay there again next time we're in Freeport.

This was the perfect getaway! The location is perfectly quiet, which also being close to anything you’d want to do. And the garden made it even better! We hope to return again soon!

Lovely cozy cabin! I went mid-May, which probably isn’t the best time if you want to enjoy local activities. But it is a good time if you want to just relax at the cabin. The host were really nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
